Awesome hidden gem for toddlers IF the park is not busy. You can't beat the price and the rides are included in the entrance fee.

I love this place. Great for the young ones. They also hold amazing community events.

We visited this 'hidden' park about 3 weeks ago (June). I say hidden because it truly is hidden in town, but is sprawled out over a couple acres... you'd never know it was there! First-- the positives: *Very, very clean and taken care of-- in regards to landscaping. There is no trash anywhere, the lawns and landscaped areas look great... it was really very nice. *Lots of space to picnic, bbq, bring your own food in and let the kids run! Several separate little playgrounds by all the different picnic areas. *Cost-- it's super inexpensive to get in and buy an 'unlimited rides' band. HOWEVER.... there are only about 2-3 rides.... which brings me to the Negatives: *There is a small carousel , and then 2 rides. 1 for little tiny kids, and one for kids that are about 48'' + Unfortunately for us (with 4' tall kids) the ride was closed that day. So we could only go on the carousel. Which is good for about 1-2 rides. There was a small train to ride-- we did that, it was ok. *Special areas-- closed for private parties. There were 2 areas that were sort of fenced off and had theme play areas. A bunker/fort which was sort of western and had a high fence around it... CLOSED for party. The castle, which looked cool... CLOSED for private party. So... again, nothing for our 6 year olds to do! *NO food or drink offered anywhere. The rickety old soda machines were either out of order, or stole my dollar. bummer. *There is a fishing pond... I didnt see anyone pull any crawdads out. It was pretty gross looking... but we couldnt fish it if we wanted, because you have to bring your own pole/stick and bait (hot dogs). So even though my 6 year old begged to fish... there was nowhere to get anything for hm to fish with! Frustrating. Overall- it's a nice place to go if you have small children (I'd say 4 and under) and if you just want to picnic, bbq and hang out. The kids can run and climb...but you can do that at any public park and not pay the $6 each or so. My suggestion would be to take a little of the time / energy spent on maintaining the grounds so perfectly (they really were pretty!) and invest in a small snack shack, or a place to pay $1 to rent a 'pole' for fishing, possibly one more ride or a type of carnival game (think-- ring toss or similar with small prizes) Maybe try to have just ONE party site used at a time so the rest of the paying guests can experience one of the special play areas. I wont be visiting again, even with my 2 year old. Just not enough to do as far as playing, that we cant do at the park. read more

Great little park with rides. Shares DNA with Kennedy Park in Hayward and Children's Wonderland in Vallejo (places I also like). Very affordable (plus check out coupon for free wristband in the Chinook Book), and for a small spot, it offers a wide range of activities - not just rides (of which all but the whale were operational on this sunny Saturday), but playground equipment, a fun boat-turned-play structure, and a shady creek with lots of opportunities for quiet contemplation. There were parties today in EVERY picnic area, but it still didn't feel busy because there's so many nooks. Only one set of bathrooms, but they were adequately clean. My 6 & 4 year olds were happy there for 3 hours. If you live in the fog belt like we do, consider a car trip out here during the summer for your blast of August heat! If you're there with a napper though, be aware of the park's unique "lunch break" between 12:30-1, when all the rides shut down so the workers can eat lunch (and all the patrons pretty much do too!). I can see how the timing of your visit is tricky if you have a napper, but try to figure out a work-around as it is a special little place. read more

This tiny little amusement park is a hidden gem in Pittsburg... great place to take younger kids. There are just 4 or 5 kiddie rides, but quite a few play structures, a zipline and playhouses, and even crawdad fishing in the various ponds around the park. There are plenty of picnic areas and Bbq grills if that's your thing...admission is very reasonably priced.. $8 total for my daughter and I, and that included a wristband to go on kiddie rides all day. I appreciated the friendly staff and how nicely kept the grounds were. Nice grassy areas, little waterfalls and lots of shade! We will be back! read more

I came here all the time when I was a kid and have been bringing my kids here since my eldest was little. It's a park with several playgrounds and a few small rides, such as a train, a mini Ferris wheel and a carousel. There's also a pond where kids are allowed to catch and release crawdads. It's a bit reminiscent of Oakland's Fairytale Town and Concord's Pixie Play Land, except fewer rides and waaaaaay cheaper prices. It is geared more towards the younger set, but my ten year old still enjoys coming here to fish for crawdads in the pond and play with his litlle brother on the playgrounds. There's also affordable party rental areas and a little snack bar. Most of the park is well maintained and well supervised. My only real complaint would be that the newly added zip-line desperately needs an attendant to supervise it... because right now, it's just an accident waiting to happen. It's a low to the ground zip-line, so if a child fell off, they would get no more then a bruised bum. So I guess they felt they didn't have to supervise it. The issue is, the line gets long and disorganized without somone to keep an eye on it. More than once, I saw older kids trying to cut in front of the little ones and would have succeeded, if it hadn't been for a few nearby parents who made them go to the back of the line. The biggest issue with it however, is kids getting lazy when it's time to hand off the plastic seat thing to the next waiting kid. Instead of walking it all the way back to the little platform, they'll try and throw/push it. I saw children nearly get clocked right in the mouth many times, while I was waiting in line with my kids. One little girl would have gotten knocked right in the teeth if my husband hadn't reached out and grabbed the swinging seat away from her face at the last second. The park shouldn't count on parents supervising this thing because there are still a lot of parents who let their kids run completely wild in places like this. So you can't always count on there being an adult nearby and some kids won't listen to other people whom aren't their parent or a park worker. One kid trying to cut, had to be practically yelled at by several parents, before he grudgingly went to wait his turn at the back of the line. All in all though, this is a great little place to take your kiddos, just keep a close eye on them at the zip-line because the park doesn't supervise it like they should. read more

A hidden little gem for Pittsburg. This park is actually pretty big even though you can't tell when you pass by. It's great for the kids they have a couple of rides which includes a train that goes around the park and play structures for different ages. They have themed areas they rent out for parties as well. What a great park for kids and adults! Lots of memories here! My son is 15 now, but I used to have his birthday parties in the park, and even had it in the castle. We would go and ride the train, and the carousel, climb on the boat and fish for crawdads. I always loved to picnic there, and loved how quiet and secluded it was from the outside world. The park is very clean, and the landscaping is beautiful with streams, flower and lots of shade trees. Bring a lunch, and expect a small entrance fee. read more

My best friend recommend i bring my 2 year old daughter here. She loved it! I remember coming here as a kid and thinking how magical this place was... as an adult the magic has disappeared and seems a lot smaller than i remembered. Anyway, it was almost 100 degrees, we came right when they opened and rode everything twice. I'd love to throw a kid birthday party here, lots of picnic tables and grills. I think i might have enjoyed it a little bit more if it weren't so hot.... i'd definitely bring my daughter back. The entrance fee wasn't so bad either. $2 for childen & $ for adults and $1.50 for unlimited rides. read more

This place is AWESOME!!! It's very affordable and there's lots to do. Plenty of playgrounds, rides, creeks for crawdad fishing, and even a TRAIN ride around the park! We loved it so much, we scheduled a birthday party in their castle and the staff that coordinated it was super friendly and accommodating. The castle was also awesome, with an upstairs play area. The kids were running around having so much fun. One thing to note, they do not have a credit card machine so you will need to have cash in hand when you pay at the gate and if you want food inside. As long as you know that, you can't go wrong here. read more
