I popped in fairly early on a Saturday, early enough that I was the only customer. This place is covered practically floor to ceiling with every variety of cheesecake imaginable, in individual portions to giant shareable cakes. There are a few other treats available too, like cookies. After browsing the flavors, I decided on a small sized turtle cheesecake. I think it was maybe labeled as individual but I comfortably shared it for a smallish dessert with my parents. My one disappointment was that all the smaller cheesecakes I could see were in circular servings (like a large hockey puck) instead of slices. I don't know if I'm just bad at looking for things or if they don't sell slices anymore, but I made out okay with my dessert. Service was very friendly and welcoming and got me rung up quickly. I took a quick bite while it was still cold and then saved the rest for about 1.5 drive up to our lunch spot on our way home. It held up pretty well in the air conditioned car. The bites were delicious both times. It's a pleasantly thick and creamy cheesecake. I enjoyed the chocolate cookie crust though I wish there'd been slightly more of it. The turtle toppings on top really added extra tasty flavor, though I only found chocolate and caramel -- no nuts despite it being a turtle cheesecake. That was kind of a bummer, but I still really liked my dessert. I'd happily get this same cheesecake again. Definitely worthy of a try if you find yourself in the area!

My husband and I came here for date night while on vacation. We arrived and was told an hour and…read moreforty five minute wait, which we were fine with because they were very busy and we didn't arrive super hungry in case the wait was long. We went to the outside bar to have some drinks while we wait to be sat. The bartender, Chris, was super energetic and quick. We saw him pouring someone else a bushwhacker, which is my favorite drink, and asked if he makes a good one. He replied "I make the best one", and he was absolutely correct. We were sat after less than an hour, and our waitress Haley was amazing. She was friendly the entire night and we had great banter with her. We ordered crab claws as an appetizer and they were cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Surf-n-Surf and I ordered the Bronzed Grouper. Haley checked in with us often, and after some time she realized we hadn't received our dinner. She went to check on it, and there was a technical issue with their handheld and it hadn't gotten rung in. My husband and I weren't upset because we understand how it is in the restaurant industry, and sometimes technology fails. We didn't ask for a manager, but one came out and spoke to us and apologized, which we appreciated. We received dinner shortly after that, and it was some of the best seafood we've ever had. We ordered the creole cheesecake and chocolate cake to take home with us, and they were both phenomenal as well. When it came time to pay, my husbands card wasn't working properly, so he went to grab mine from the car. Haley was patient with us the entire time. It truly was a magical night we were able to share together and we can't thank Cobalt enough for helping us achieve that.

The buffet included cowboy caviar, spinach dip with tortilla chips and pita chips, green salad, cheese grits, macaroni and cheese, asparagus, a grilled fish, fried shrimp and chicken fingers. It was all well seasoned and delicious! Dessert was cookies and an AMAZING chocolate chip bread pudding that was some of the best I've ever had!! I also had a lemon drop martini made with raspberry vodka and it was great as well. It's not on the menu so you have to ask for it. We also went another day and had dinner from the menu. I had the fish if the day which was a grilled snapper that I had Oscar style topped with crab, served with a cheese risotto, It all went together well and was scrumptious! I forgot probably the best part, the barbecue shrimp appetizer! It was so good, the Cajun sauce was perfect, not too spicy and very creamy. They serve it with French bread and it was a great tool to eat the sauce with!

The fact that they offer several choices of fresh catches each night; and that frequently they have unusual catches, this time it was a tile, a firm, white, mild fish. They also will give you a choice of several ways they prepare your fish. I love having choices. Their servers are familiar with the variety of options available, and can help you decide, if it may be your first time to try something new. They are super busy on weekends, so go early, or enjoy a relaxed meal during the week.

Fire Cracker Shrimp Fried Rice - 9.2 I order this every time we visit. It is my favorite dish of all the places we visit each year at the beach. It may not be the best but definitely my favorite and in the top 3 as far as best goes. The fried egg on top really puts it over the top although, I do wish it was runny and not cooked through. Gyoza - 7.0 Has a lot of filling which is good however, it isn't very seasoned or flavorful. They appeared to be fried however, not very crispy. We try gyoza at nearly any restaurant we visit that has it on the menu. Comparing this to other gyoza's, it's good but not great. Tuna Lovers Roll - 7.8 Roll was good but a little too spicy. The spice was expected obviously but still a tad too spicy. It also lacked the correct amount of sauce in my opinion. It also needed another ingredient or two to take it to the next level. Sesame Cracker w/ Honey Butter - 8.4 I rated it a little higher due to the originality. I have eaten at restaurants in half the States that make up this country and have never had toasted sesame crackers with honey butter. It is a thing in the South to have saltines, club cracker, etc. with butter at seafood and steak restaurants. However, I haven't seen this combo. It was good and not too filling.
