I want to start by saying that the customer service at this place of business is always excellent. They are very welcoming and always willing to ask any questions that you have. I've visited the business twice. And the two best things for me were the Reese's peanut butter cup, brownie, and the red velvet cookie. The brownie was number one very moist, but I also tasted the Reese's peanut butter flavor and it wasn't too chocolatey if that makes sense. The red velvet cookie was pretty good. It had white chocolate chips in there and wasn't bad. As far as the cupcakes, I tried the strawberry cupcake, the Oreo, cupcake, and another pastry. Unfortunately, for me, they were a miss. The cake is self is good and has nice flavor but the icing on all of my cupcakes tastes like medicine or fake sugar. I don't know how to describe it. I just know that I was not a fan and I went back the second time to try something new in hopes of liking it more and it just didn't hit the mark for me. So for this, I have to give three out of five stars. I would go back if I was in the area and wanted a brownie, but I wouldn't make a trip specifically to visit this business. read more

This place satisfied our sweet tooth craving. If you like rich chocolate you'll love any of their chocolate cupcakes. They are generous with the frosting and the cakes are moist and delicious. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean and had a few tables to sit at which was perfect because we couldn't wait to dig in. I requested a very specific recreation of another cake I saw online but with a heart shape to it and they did NOT disappoint! The cake was enormous, beautiful and I got so many compliments on it the night of my Birthday! The cake itself was also delicious, VERY heavy on the buttercream, which I'm a huge buttercream fan so I was very happy with that. The lady at the bakery was very sweet when I picked up the cake and also very helpful, offering to help me take the cake out even though I declined. Only thing I have to say was a little disappointing was the lack of any Birthday candles or cake decorations in the store itself. I've bought a few Birthday cakes from this location over the years and they always had a small variety of candles and accessories but this year there was none. read more

Super disappointed. We love Smallcakes, we've been to multiple locations in various states so we know how moist the cake is supposed to be. We ordered Strawberry, Wedding cake, birthday sprinkles and all of the cupcakes were extremely dry. Couldn't even finish them. I'm pretty sure Smallcakes are supposed to be fresh baked daily. This location is decorated more beautifully than other stores and the lady behind counter was friendly. But the cakes themselves are a big disappointment. read more

Cupcakes, cookies, and milkshakes! This fun little place is amongst a group of shops in a mixed use building; businesses on the street level and residential stacked above. There is parking in front of the shops but it is limited so be ready to follow the signs to park on the bottom floor of the structure behind the building then follow the signs to get to the shops. There are a few tables inside this shop if you choose to sit and enjoy your treats. I purchased two cupcakes which myself and a friend shared later. But while I was in the shop I sat and enjoyed a milkshake. I forget how many flavors of ice cream they have to choose from but not many; maybe eight? I chose strawberry lemonade ice cream to make my milkshake. It wasn't the best choice but I liked it "okay". The lemon tasted sweetly artificial as did the strawberry flavored candy sprinkles. I bet any other flavor would have worked better as a shake. But the cupcakes were excellent. How do they make them this moist?! The two flavors I chose were Lemon Drop and Chocolate Eclair. The former was white cake with sweet lemon filling and the latter was chocolate cake with a vanilla cream center. Wowza! I experienced great customer service here. All my questions were answered with a smile. Their cupcakes certainly put a smile on my face too. read more

I visited Smallcakes with my best friend during our Spring Break trip. Cupcakes: I don't remember the specific flavors (I think 1 might have been Cookie Butter), but I do remember they were good. The cake was moist and fluffy. The frosting was thick and creamy. It was buttercream and not whipped, and it held up to the cake. Logistics: Parking is tough. This location is in a small strip mall, so parking is a little limited. The location is also small, but there were tables inside for you to dine in, which we did. BEST CUPCAKE I'VE EVER HAD! My wife and I split the carrot cake one after an early dinner at Koizi's and we were honestly blown away. We've tried other gourmet cupcake places before and they never seem to live up to the hype and price, but this carrot cake cupcake was moist and the frosting was complementary, not overpowering. Smallcakes Orlando came into my life at exactly the right moment. It was my birthday and my best friend who lives in Texas decided to send me a cupcake delivery via Uber Eats. I was so excited, but even more happy when I tried the cupcakes and realized they were incredible! I received the cookies and cream, red velvet, hot fudge sundae, and chocolate peanut butter flavors. All were great and had the perfect ratio of frosting to cake in my opinion. I loved them so much that I ended up going to the physical location a few days later to grab another cupcake. Wow, such an incredible & well hidden little dessert gem from the "Should Be" public eye & access! After a full dinner celebrating a dear Friend's birthday, we got online searching for a unique dessert place, and stumbled upon the this hidden gem, and literally, it is a hidden gem. As you can see in the attached pictures, this place offer a great selection of variety to choose from. The cupcakes were moist, and the icings were not sugary sweet like 80% of the other cupcake places at all (+) to you!! Oh, and not forgetting their ice cream selections. 1st visit today and we love this Cupcakery! First the staff is friendly, nice and knowledgeable about their products. They have a nice selection of traditional sized cupcakes and sampler packs of mini cupcakes and several flavors of in house made ice cream. They also have a selection of cookies, edible cookie dough and hot chocolate bombs. Today we tried (1scoop each) coconut, snickerdoodle, cookie butter, and Java chip ice cream. A Piece of HEAVEN!!!! Yep, that's how I want to start this review... loved loved loved this place, ambiance and desserts! ** First things First this establishment is a Cashless Business ** Visiting Orlando and we Yelped a few dessert places and wow in Orlando there's so many to chose from. We decided to give SmallCakes Cupcakery a try based on all the wonderful reviews, the amazing pictures, that they had a wide selection of desserts, and that they call themselves also a gourmet bakery. Service - was fantastic the staff working the night of 3/4/23 was very helpful, knowledgeable and had a lot of patience because you know picking a dessert is a life experience lol. Ambiance - this place is perfectly designed and really so beautiful inside. Very clean, modern and inviting. Ordered- we ordered a pink cone with Snickers ice cream which I rate a 5 out of 5 !!! I've had other Snickers ice cream and it's usually overly sweet or way too many chunks inside of it but not at Smallcakes. The balance between ice cream and the Snickers in the ice cream was perfect! It was amazing ! We also ordered Red Velvet Cupcake with Oreo Ice Cream and Hot Cocoa Ice Cream, also amazing! Truly recommend this for the entire family there's something for everyone to satisfy that dessert tooth! They have plenty of free parking behind the store in a garage attached. Good tasting cupcakes, nice location but too pricey. The only issue I have is the price, I think they charged over $4.00 per cup cake and you get a discount when you buy more. I would understand if these were bigger but these are regular size cupcakes. I am not being negative at all, these were good I just have an issue when I have to pay over $4 for a cupcake. Love love love. I ordered a small 6' cake for a med school graduation and I was totally impressed by how easy Smallcakes was to work with. Ordering: Very quick response and attentive to all needs. Once I had corresponded through email, we hopped on a phone call to confirm final details. The lady was very helpful in guiding me through what would work best and was open about everything. Cake: Delicious cake! Absolutely flavorful and so soft. The cake simply melts in your mouth. I had the wedding cake with raspberry filling - it was a great combination. The cake was designed exactly how it was described and they did their best to accommodate my needs. Service: Payment, pickup - everything was quite smooth. The shop is conveniently located and the ladies were very nice in providing the cake cutter, matches, and a candle. Overall, I would DEFINITELY order from Smallcakes again. Cupcakes are tasty :) although I do find them to be a bit too sweet and pricey. $25 for a mini cupcake sampler of 12 is a bit steep in my opinion. Awwww...this place is very cute. Its been open for a while but I just had my first (but not my last) visit a few days ago. I was a good girl and only purchased two regular sized cupcakes for myself (yessss ... that is good for me.) I got a vanilla cupcake and a strawberry cupcake. Those choices sound boring but let me assure you they didn't taste boring at all. They were DELICIOUS. In addition to treating myself, I also spotted some cute mini cupcakes for DOGS! Yasss! My pups always deserve a treat so I got them the mini-box of 4 cupcakes. They loved them! So, my first visit to Smallcakes was a success. I'm sure my future visits will be just as successful. I used to really like this place and their wedding cake flavor was my favorite. I've stopped by in person and ordered on door dash as well and it's always been great. Came by today and they are now only doing certain flavors on certain days. I left empty handed because they didn't have the wedding cake cupcakes or any of the other flavors I wanted. Super disappointing that they are apparently trying to mimic Crumbl or something and change their flavors on random days. Now they only serve my favorite on a day I can't order it. The friendly staff provided prompt service, and I appreciated the efficient checkout process. While the $10 slice of cake was a bit pricey for my taste, I did enjoy the Wednesday $3 deal, which was a great value. Although the cake wasn't my favorite, the wedding cupcake was a highlight and worth returning for. One minor drawback was the limited parking in the front, which could get congested. This bakery is everything and more! We tried just about everything and came twice (within the same week - yes that good!). The cupcakes, brownies, and cake pops were so flavorful and delicious. We also tried their famous smashcake - your favorite cupcake split in half with your favorite ice cream. We had the wedding cake with red velvet ice cream in the middle. SO good.
