We don't live near here, but we happened to be celebrating with family on L.I. this year, and this is what I chose. These are the best cupcakes I've ever had in my life! The icing is so fresh and the cake itself is so moist. The red velvet is definitely my favorite and a must try (not too cream-cheesy at all) All of them extremely good and they have daily specials as well. I personally think you don't need to get the cookie dough one (cookie on top was stale) or the hot fudge sundae was a bit overpowering (still good though), as some of those flavors can have a lot going on and be a little too sweet. You can't go wrong with the basic flavors. Peanut butter icing one and cookies and cream icing were excellent as well. I 100% recommend this place if you're looking for a great cupcake. I placed an order for 2 gluten free dairy free vanilla cake vanilla frosting cupcakes over the phone a day early (which they said is all the time they need) I go to pick up the cupcakes and they didn't have any ready and had no history of my order. Luckily they had some gf cupcakes in the back ready to be prepared so I was able to take those home and they were delicious. I decided to use this bakery 2 weeks later to place an order for 6 gf/df vanilla cupcakes for my gender reveal. They wrote down the wrong phone number for my husband and couldn't contact him that they ran out of the vanilla GF cake mix. He went all the way there to find out they only had one vanilla and 4 chocolate available. This is 2 times that they messed up our order. They are completely disorganized here and I'm really glad we did not give them our business for our entire gender reveal cake. When we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and started looking at all the goodies , first I have to tell you guys .. this place is so freaking cute ! Lots of pink , very cool decor , I absolutely love the boxes ! I can't wait for someone's birthday to come so I can order a cake from here ! They have a nice amount of ice cream flavors , cupcakes even gluten and dairy free cupcakes . Had someone bring me cupcakes from small cakes the other day and thought they were so good. They were perfectly sweet and really hit the spot. I personally rip the bottom off of cupcakes then put it on top to make it a cupcake sandwich (which I highly recommend). I went to Smallcakes after a friend told me that there was a new cupcake shop in the area. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with smiles and a warm hello. The place is very clean. I saw all the cupcakes displayed and they looked almost too pretty to eat. I was so tempted. I decided to get the Wedding Cake cupcake. I'm a big almond fan. This cupcake is make of almond cake and almond frosting. Yum! A dream come true. Me and my friend decided to also get a dozen. Yippeee. They also give you a loyalty card that gets punched with every single cupcake you buy to get a free one. Who doesn't like loyalty incentives. They also had ice cream and I was offered to try it. I don't know why I avoided coming here for so long. It seemed like just another chain dessert store that would have mediocre desserts that cost a fortune. Well, I was wrong. Very wrong. The cupcakes here are amazing! The flavors are different and all sound just as good as the next one. Their cupcakes are moist and super flavorful - I've yet to have one that wasn't good. If that wasn't enough, they also have ice cream. Unique flavors and your basics, they have you covered. If that still isn't enough, they can make cupcake shakes and you can have a cupcake topped with ice cream. I've had them all and they are all to die for. I had creeped on Smallcakes on IG for quite some time before I finally visited Smallcakes and couldn't resist a post on their rainbow cookie cupcakes. My bestie whose super into rainbow cookies was visiting from Florida so I quickly called and requested the last 2 remaining cupcakes. On my way home from work, I pulled into Smallcakes and was greeted by 2 friendly young girls. They had my order ready aside so I paid and they explained the rewards program where you get a stamp per cupcake purchased, once you reach 12 cupcakes you earn a free cupcake (not hard to do). I have since visited Smallcakes a few times, and have tried the Nutella, birthday cake, hot fudge sundae, and the rainbow cookie cupcakes and have yet to try something I didn't love. These cupcakes are hefty, I split a cupcake and even half a cupcake is a decent indulgence! See pics attached, because they're a real beauty even when cut straight down the middle. Needless to say, I'm very impressed and look forward to their specials that change weekly. To date, my personal faves have been the hot fudge sundae and the rainbow cookie, but I am looking forward to seeing a comeback from the Cookie monster cupcake and giving that a try. Ambiance/wait staff- this is a great little cupcake shop! It's clean and the case of cupcakes is neat and inviting. They even have sparkles on the walls! They have a clean bathroom and seating for about 6 people. The counter help is very patient and kind. Food: I bought a box of 6 cupcakes. They were ALL delicious! I bought the banana snickerdoodle, salted caramel, cookies and cream, s'mores, Reese's peanut butter cup and one that looked exactly like a hostess cupcake. They were amazing!!!! We just stopped in for ice creams and I wouldn't say they have the most unique flavors but were different. We did try some and were not that impressed. A pint comes with 4 flavors and we decided to give it a shot. Usually, pints are completely filled if we get anywhere else but here, they measure exactly 4 scoops and we found it to be too expensive for the portion.
