Caramel, cookies and cream, and chocolate fudge cupcakes

HOLY FROSTING. Where do I even begin?! I dropped off my little gremlin (a.k.a. my dog) at the groomers and immediately needed something to soothe the chaos in my soul--a cupcake emergency, if you will. Enter Smallcakes, stage left, like a sugary knight in pastel armor. This was my first visit, and let me tell you--I was not emotionally prepared. The service? Impeccable. They answered all our questions like cupcake sommeliers. The shop itself is adorable--like if Pinterest exploded in the best way. We tried THREE flavors (don't judge me, judge your life), and each one slapped harder than my grandma's Sunday roast. I nearly proposed to the red velvet. Honestly, I might elope with this entire bakery. I came in stressed, I left frosted. Will I be back? Absolutely. Do I need cupcake rehab now? Probably. 10/10, would risk a sugar coma again.

To start with, I'm not a huge fan in general of cupcakes, or cakes with icing. I recently had a celebration, so my wife picked up a couple of cupcakes for me. Oh my, they were amazing, moist and tasty. I am hopeful that I will have more celebrations in the near future. What a great high-quality and tasty product.

My daughter ordered a cake for my birthday. She provided a picture and specific instructions. The picture she provided was a white cake with pink flowers. Unfortunately, we received a pink cake with red flowers. Additionally, according to the baker, the cake was already leaning when my husband picked the cake up. It was constructed in such a way that it was unable to be transported even when using the utmost care and ended in being destroyed on the way home. They stated they used a dowel to stabilize it but when we cut it open it was nothing but a long toothpick that could never have stabilized a cake. Our big mistake was accepting this cake and attempted to transport. My husband is too nice. When he spoke with the owner no responsibility was taken nor consideration was given for this disaster. We have been long time customers even through bouts of stale cupcakes and other sub-par products we have received. Buyer beware.....we won't be back.

Hands down the best cupcakes I've had so far in all of Orlando,Florida. The strawberry cupcake is my favorite! It's so creamy and flavorful! The chocolate one is too good, you almost feel guilty after eating it! Service is quick and ambiance is comforting.

Really yummy and fresh mini cupcakes brought to your door via Uber Eats! I recommend!

Absolutely loved these cupcakes and can't wait to try more flavors. Usually cupcakes are too dry in my opinion but these were perfectly moist. They're also a good size! The wedding cake was super almondy flavored which is my favorite, the s'mores has a yummy marshmallow cream on top. I hope in the future they make a carrot cake with raisins, carrots and nut pieces instead of just the cinnamon cake.

The best cupcakes in the area! I took my grandma there to pick out cupcakes for her birthday. The young lady behind the counter was super helpful and explained all the flavors to us. We opted to get the chocolate peanut butter, the birthday cake, coconut, and pink buttercream with chocolate. Getting cupcakes for a birthday party is cool because everyone can have their own flavor. Excellent customer service with some darn good cupcakes. I will definitely be going back for my birthday!

I've been to this location twice. It's conveniently located in a plaza with quite a few restaurants so it's easy to grab a cupcake after dinner or if you are in the area, just because you need a like pick me up. The cupcake shop is small but just the right size for cupcakes. It's cute inside and puts you in the mood for something sweet. On my first visit I tried the Sinful Carmel. The cake flavor was awesome. I had been to a couple other Smallcakes and never came across this flavor. Although the flavor was great the cupcake itself was stale you could tell it had been sitting for a while. I did go close to closing so I said I would give it another try again in hopes that next time the cupcake would not be stale. On my second visit, I called again to inquire about what flavors were available. The lady that answered was not very friendly and really seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. She said we have the flavors we always have. I explained that I had only been there 1 time before so I don't know what flavors she normally carried. She then said oh, ok and listed if the flavors. I went in to order and there was a young boy working who also seemed like he didn't want to be bothered was very friendly. I ordered 9 cupcakes for my family. I asked if they had plastic utensils. And was given 1 fork. You would think if I had 9 cupcakes that I would have been given more than 1 fork. I placed my order and hurried to get out of the place. I tasted the cupcakes and they were moist and fresh so flavorful! I would love to give this place a 5 but customer service is critical. I spoke with 2 different employees and both seemed to not want to be bothered which to me states I don't want your business. Also consistency is key. The cupcakes were excellent on the second visit but stale on the first visit. If I would not have returned I wouldn't have known how awesome the cupcakes were but then again I wouldn't have had such poor customer service. I love SmallCakes but will have to go to another location when I've craving a sweet treat.

We hired smallcakes to make wonderful cupcakes and a wedding cake for our wedding this month. We ordered a small two-tired wedding cake in traditional almond flavor and chocolate raspberry truffle, strawberry cheesecake and cannoli mini cupcakes. They let us pick our about 8 flavors to try at a tasting and were really easy to work with. We rented a nice stand and they delivered and put flower on our cake. We got so many complements on the cupcakes and MANY guests said the wedding cake was the best they ever had. WE AGREE!! Even my wedding planner said they are her favorite....and she would know. I recommend booking them for any special event.

What a gem! I drove past this bakery and it was closed for a long while. Yesterday was it's first day back and it was such a treat. I have an appreciation for your local mom & pop shops, and Smallcakes definitely is just that. The owner is behind the counter explaining each treat. He mentions his wife is in the back decorating, and the rest of us are just salivating. The shop is really cute and you can definitely come here with little ones. They have tons of opetions. We love the wedding cake cupcake, the runner up was carrot cake cupcake. We will definitely be back!

Never would I ever have imagined I would be sitting in a cute little cupcake shop in Winter Park, enjoying a Lemon Drop cupcake while listening to Whitesnake. But that is exactly where I was the other day when I needed a hit of sweet. Smallcakes has a lot of competition - Sweet! by Holly, Jillycakes, and B Cupcakes, to name a few - but I feel they can hold their own with their array of cupcakes and treats, their party business, and their very polite and informed staff. I am all about the citrus, so you can have your red velvet. The cake was soft, but not too moist. The frosting was sweet, but not cavity-inducing. And the lemon center was perfection - like finding an edible canary diamond inside a cupcake. Gelatinous and joyous! I got a real kick out of Smallcakes and wish them well. Small, yes. But big on flavor.

I had a few minutes so I stopped by Smallcakes to pick up a few mini cupcakes for my grandson. As soon as I stepped into the bakery I was warmly greeted. The atmosphere was so cheerful and relaxing. It was nice having all of the cupcakes on display with name tags close by. This prompted me to purchase some extra cupcakes. The sales associate told me that the Wedding Cake Cupcake was a big seller so I started with that one and followed with Birthday Cake, Strawberry, German Chocolate and a couple of Chocolate with Cream filling. The Wedding Cake Cupcake was unbelievably tasty. I instantly placed it on my list of future must haves and wished that I purchased a full size instead of the bite size. All of the mini cupcakes were fresh and moist. They were very flavorful and the frosting did not overpower the cake. Each one was decorated expertly and was very pretty and tempting.

The candied pecans gave it a contrasting sugared crunch making it really addicting to eat, and the candied oranges rounded out the flavors. I hope they'll keep bringing this cookie back!

We wandered just off the main downtown strip and stumbled into this little gem. Immediate warm welcome, which I always appreciate, especially when I'm in a post-meal haze. Then I saw the pastry case... and wow. It was one of those moments where you genuinely consider making poor financial and dietary decisions just to try everything. The croissants alone? Massive. I'm talking oversized, beautifully layered, stuffed with different fillings and topped like they're competing for a prize. A younger, more reckless version of me would've ordered at least three without hesitation. My only "complaint" (if you can call it that) is that everything is so big. I wish they had mini versions--like a tasting lineup--because I wanted to try everything but also didn't want to commit to a full-size pastry I knew I couldn't finish. Shoutout to the people who can, though. I respect you. I kept it simple with a cappuccino plus an extra shot (non-negotiable at that point), and it was exactly what I needed. Bonus points for the service--they actually brought it out to the table, which felt like a small but appreciated touch. They've got both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can vibe however you're feeling. Overall, a perfect little stop to recharge and pretend you didn't just eat your body weight in carbs.
