    Plain Croissant

Found this place while strolling. I wanted to keep things simple and try the plain croissant and a raisin roll. The plain croissant was perfect! Buttery, Flaky and reminded me of the croissants in Paris. The raisin roll had the perfect amount of sweetness and raisins. Also 10/10 The service was friendly, there was only 1 young lady assisting everyone. Could be because it was a Sunday evening. The ambiance was somewhat quiet.

Gorgeous pastries!!! I got a surprise bag from Too Good to Go and it was spectacular. I'll definitely be going back. The team was really friendly when I picked up. I was worried about parking, but it turned out to be just fine. I'd imagine it's a different story on weekends though! I took my order to go, but there's loads of street seating a a few inside spots to post up. I can just see myself working away at one of the outside tables with coffee and a delicious breakfast.

UPDATE - Back for afternoon coffee and a pastry. Pretty good variety of French style pastries and sandwiches and good coffee. Service is good, the atmosphere is fine. Parking on the street. We ordered the apple tart and coffee.

Another pretty good bakery in winter park. Loved this donut and the chocolate twist at the bottom, the fruit pastries were not my favorite. This place is beautiful inside. Very well maintained, super clean. They have a glass wall and you can see them working. I thought that was pretty cool. Haven't had their drinks but I need to come back for one because they looked pretty good just didn't have much time. Service was okay.

I really wanted to love Croissant Gourmet, but I don't think the prices are commensurate to the quality. The latte was not good at all and was way too milky. The server was kind enough to add an extra shot to it after letting me know their latte only comes with one shot of espresso. However, it still was pretty poor quality after the extra shot. The egg and cheese croissant was good enough and came with a small side salad. But for over $15 for it, I don't think it's worth the price, and I probably won't be back.

I am a sucker for a good croissant. It's probably in my top three favorite breakfast item and favorite bakery item. I think the croissant here is one of the best, if not the best, I've had in as long as I can even remember. I am still thinking about that perfect buttery, flaky bite. I had them warm it up a bit, and it was a game changer. It just melted in my mouth and had everything I want in a croissant. I also ordered an almond croissant. This one was a bit different in that it wasn't just frangipane on the inside. They combined it with a pastry cream, so it had a more luscious and smooth interior. I liked the flavor and texture, but it was a bit sweet for me. My son devoured it though! I can't attest to anything else on the menu since I ordered just the croissants for take-out. Service was quick and the two working the counter were very friendly. I wish this was a lot closer to me because I would definitely be a regular. Whenever I'm in the area I will definitely be stopping by.

Croissant Gourmet was a treat for brunch from my daughter one Sunday we were in Winter Park. The croissants are fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. I got the one with the different breakfast meats and cheddar cheese. The staff was warm and welcoming even dealing with the morning crowds. It also seems the perfect spot for a quick breakfast or an afternoon pick me up. It is a little on the pricey side but worth it. I'll be back!

A nice quaint place to grab your well prepared croissants. We tasted the Dubai Croissant and it was well balanced, not too heavy, just enough to have a tad of the pistachio cream and chocolate. Should come back for next time.

The butter and jam they give...

A rip off. Only the baguette was worth it in the French Breakfast. You don't even get fresh jam nor butter but those cheap boxed ones... The croissant is not buttery at all, plain, boring.

If I'm craving an almond croissant, Croissant Gourmet is always the place I know I'll need to go. When trying an almond croissant for the first time here years back, the staff told me that the secret to making it extra tasty is to have it heated up and they were right, there's nothing like the flaky croissant with crispy edges and a warm almond filling throughout. Croissant Gourmet is a peaceful place to enjoy some peaceful moments with a book and a treat or alongside a friend with great conversation alongside their huge wall of windows (or sitting outside when the weather is nice!) - definitely worth checking out.

The service was really great! You place your order at the cashier and they give you a number to take to your table. The servers were very nice and helpful. It's a very casual breakfast place but you can tell it is loved by the locals. The croissant sandwiches are really big, i did not expect that. They are also delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Cute spot to wait for the boat tour. Had a chocolate twist, divine, my mama had a peach danish, lesser so. The bread was stale compared to mine. Had a tropical green tea that was light and refreshing.

I stopped in for a couple quick treats! Staff was so friendly and genuinely happy to be there, it was a wonderful experience overall. I got the apricot bread pudding and the lavender latte and both were lovely! This is a great little spot to stop and have a relaxing breakfast or midday snack. I will be back!

Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. I have been a Buttermilk Bakery fan for well over a decade. Until this last weekend…read more I got online at 8:15 in the morning to place my order. Each item that I selected came up with a message that read, "Our store is not currently accepting orders." I tried again a few minutes later. Then again. And again. And again. I tried to call and received a voicemail that stated a different number. At 8:50am, the option to order seemed to be back up and running. I ordered five items, including the Roasted Tomatoes & Goat Cheese Quiche. For context: I live 45 minutes away from Buttermilk Bakery. It used to be on my way to work but, as of a few years ago, that is not the case anymore. So, it is now a special occasion destination. Reserved only for weekends when I can make the trip. More context: I have been raving to one of my closet friends for years about how much I love this place. My most emphatic musings have been about the quiche. Today, since she and I were planning an afternoon poolside, I thought that I would surprise her with an assortment of Viennoiserie and other items. At 10:36am, I received a call from Buttermilk. The woman on the phone informed me that they had run out of the quiche. How?!? Once the website was working, I was able to place my order quickly and the item didn't even read, "Low stock." I know that this is a small problem in a world full of large problems, but the thing that really set me off is that when I arrived at the store, the person in line in front of me asked for the Strawberry Buttermilk Pie. He was told that they were out of stock. He was pleasant in stating that there appeared to be slices in the refrigerator case. The girl behind the register told him that they were being held for online orders. When it was my turn, I stated that no one had held my slice of quiche. She blandly said, "I am sorry," and proceeded. I then stated that I was unhappy and had driven some distance. She asked if I would like something else. I responded that the person on the phone had simply told me that I would receive a refund. I then asked for the girl to check on my refund. She said it was not processed yet. So, I said that I would wait. She needed to ask for help to process the refund. She wasn't nasty to me, but she did not care one iota. My effort and subsequent inconvenience meant nothing. I wonder if my refund would even have been processed had I not asked. My friend and I thought the pastries that we received were fine, but she is fitness-minded and was hesitant to indulge in so many carbs without the rich protein that the quiche would have provided. And, yet, more context: This happened once before. With the quiche. Maybe a year ago. Though, that time, I believe it was a butternut squash quiche. My husband needed to be in the area, so he suggested that he pick-up at Buttermilk. When he arrived, he was told that there would be no quiche. No call. No nothing. He didn't think to ask for a refund and we never received one. That time, I simply thought, "Well, accidents happen." This time, I think that I received very shoddy service. I felt very disrespected. I felt unseen. I have loved this place, but I am so disappointed.
