Tamas determined that Optimum and Verizon technicians incorrectly installed patches that were short term fixes and left behind "the other guy's" cables and connectors that were not connected. In fact, the Verizon Extender was not transmitting a signal and was merely a fixture on the mantle below the tv. Not only did Tamas clean up the mess others left behind, but he patiently explained what he was doing every step of the process.
