This review is only for consultation, haven't decided if I'm going to do the work. But, I will say, they were great. Came right on time and were HONEST about my roof and what it needed - and didn't need. Sure, he could've been doom and gloom and said, "You have to do this now!!!" because what would I know? Instead, he gave me an honest assessment, checked on the price for overlaying the whole roof, and then replacing. And, then also gave his thoughts on whether it was something that needed to be done asap or to wait a while. I appreciate people and businesses who aren't all about making you do something out of fear because what do I know about roofing? Yes, my roof will need to be replaced, eventually. Long overdue review! Jesse and team did a stellar job. Removed decades of old layers from our roof, while adding so much more value to our home! Quote was competitive too. After a few estimates we decided to go with Rafi and Levi at Smart Roofing and I'm glad I did. Their estimate was the best out of all and they were very personable. We had multiple shingles that needed to be torn down and it was done so quickly, efficiently and cleanly. We requested to have an old swamp cooler removed and they were honest that they couldn't do it themselves and needed assistance. They guided us through the correct channels to get it done properly. Laying down the shingles took the crew 1 day and you never would have known the crew was there after how clean the place was. I had a leak in my roof directly over the front door. I called Smart Roofing and immediately got a live person Michelle who was very pleasant and scheduled a project manager to meet me within two days of my call. I had the pleasure of working with Jesse who is very personable and a good communicator. Chance of rain and high winds put the job off for a few days, but we were still able to get the job done within two weeks of my original call. With each delay, Jesse kept me apprised of the situation. The crew was able to repair the leak in one day. Nearly a third of my clay tile roof and the rotten wood beneath needed to be replaced. The crew worked hard from 8:30am to 5:30 pm. They were respectful of the property, took down an old antenna that was an eyesore, and cleaned up beautifully afterward. used a different roofing company won't name them but first word M second word R for two houses will NEVER use them again. They created a huge mess in my attic ruined my HVAC with roofing material getting into it during tear off because they tear off the shingles and underlayment at the same time. decided to try a new company. What a difference . These guys are meticulous. Tear off shingles first then sweep and blow off the roof before removing underlayment. What a difference. Rafi, Isaac and Levi are great guys to work with fair prices and outstanding workmanship. And I know what I'm talking about because they tore off and reroofed three houses for me and all were excellent. Plus they TEXcoted one house for me. So we had a leak thought we could just repair it but no we needed a new roof. So I started getting estimates. What a shock at the prices. It took a long time to find someone I trusted and felt good about. It was Smart Roofing. Jesse the project manager was great he was my 11 estimate I was so done with this. He was a breath of fresh air. I felt he was honest and fair with his product and pricing. But I had such bad experiences with other estimates and company's they would lie use bad products had horrible reviews and very expensive. I needed to check him out further. I was pleasantly surprised, everything he told me apparently was true. Good reviews, license was good I couldn't find anything bad. I felt even better about Jesse now so I hired him. Everything went great he stayed in contact with me every step of the way. If I texted him he replied. He would call if he need to talk. He told me 4 days and did as promised . Almost forgot there was no extra fee for bad wood if there was any and if any problems come up they would take care of it. The roof look great. I actually found Smart Roofing on Thumbtack. When I scheduled an appointment online, someone from the company called me back within minutes and ended up giving me an earlier appointment. Rafi showed up on time and was very nice. He checked out my roof and explained that I had no plywood on my roof and had three roofs. Rafi was very thorough in his explanation of what needed to be done in terms of the plywood, shingles, etc. I will not lie, Smart Roofing was not my cheapest or most expensive quote (I got three); however, I liked that Rafi broke it all down to me and explained why they had to gut my roof down to the beams. He also showed me what type of shingles they would be using. The other two companies did not do this. After the contract was signed, it rained and Rafi called to see if I had any leaks and if I needed them to come out and cover up my roof. I thought that was nice as they didn't have to do that. Overall, I was satisfied with the end product. The guys who worked on my roof were always on time and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. Everyone also always work a mask, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. Rafi checked in to make sure everything was good and always let me know what was happening. Oh, because there was a lot of old shingles and wood in my attic, they sent a team of men to clean it all out. My roof looks great, my house looks much better, so I'm happy!
