After discussing with several electricians and searching online for who could do a relatively simple Ring Floodlight install, I found Smart Technology Solutions (John and Hao). This is a continuation and update of my last review. I just had a reputable company fix the issues that Smart Technology failed to fix. They found that the DVR that John sold me a little over a year ago, was very dated and the lowest of quality and was on its last legs. I had the new Company install a name brand DVR and it works fabulously. The Front Gate camera that I mentioned on the last review was grainy and skipped. The new company fixed the settings to make it hi def. Smart Tech obviously didn't have a clue on how to make it work properly. One of the cameras that John moved stopped working because of a faulty wire - duh!. So, this all cost me money, but at least I have a good system and a company that knows what they are doing. Recommendation: If you're going to use Smart Technology: 1. Make sure you do your research on the recommended products and use only name brand - not the crap that Smart Tech makes a huge markup on. 2. Get a copy of their written warranty before doing business with them. 3. Do not pay him until you are totally satisfied. 4. Don't listen to his pitch where he says he is not trying to sell you anything (then he goes ahead and sell you junk). My reviews are 100% factual. read more

I found Smart Technology Solutions through yelp for assistance with utilizing run, but unfinished ethernet and speaker wires. I also required assistance trouble-shooting a TiVo and TiVo mini connection. Victor arrived promptly and at my convenience. He quickly and efficiently assessed my home network, completed the ethernet connection (wires run, but ends were not attached) and went so far as to tidy up the cables. He scoped the job, worked with me to plan it and test and in general did quality, clean work for way less than I had estimates for. I contacted John to get a bid on installing exterior lighting and a Ring doorbell. His bid was well under other companies that I contacted. This was all very foreign to me and John walked me through the process step by step.
