The artist wasn't happy with the painting she was supposed to be doing with us. She mentioned several times, it "wasn't her style". Her accent and soft spoken voice left many of us at a loss, as well. To begin the artwork, we were told to take a piece of paper towel and dip it in black paint. Then, smear our entire canvas with the black paint. What?? Are you kidding me? That is hardly painting! Not to mention our entire group of 18 adults had hands covered in black paint. What a mess! Plus, this was not a cheap event! It was supposed to be from 7-9 PM. Most of us were finished by 8:15. The following day a survey was sent to me by Paint The Town, as I was the organizer of the event. I was brutally honest, as I am now. They have yet to write me back, which upsets me greatly.

It didn't feel like it was over crowded and each of us had our own space to cook as well as sitting down to eat afterwards. It came with music, a beautiful setup, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are a level zero or a 5 at cooking, the instructor David will make sure that everyone will be on the same page the entire time. The menu consisted of an appetizer, main entree, and dessert. We cooked and made the Royale, pesto chicken, and 24K gold chocolatier. The Royale consisted of garlic bread with the option of onions, mushrooms, and herb scents served with a side of chicken or shrimp salad. The pesto chicken included cream cheese, herb sauce, pepper, pesto along with a fried herb wine and garlic pasta. The 24k gold chocolatier had rice pudding along with chocolate mocha pudding, raspberries, and edible gold. Everything was fantastic! It was an awesome learning experience that was fun and informative. Who doesn't love to eat?! David made us feel at home while we were able to cook and get insight on how things are cooked as well as sharing our own experiences with cooking throughout the evening. We shared a variety of items and started with the Parker House bread which is paired with an insanely delicious caramelized onion butter and a trio of tuna poke tacos. Both of these appetizers were superb! The billowy soft roll blanketed in the onion butter was dreamy and the tuna inside the tacos was well flavored and very fresh. Moreover, the combination of textures: the crispy taco shell with soft tuna harmonized extremely well. After we enjoyed the starters, we shared the seasonal chopped salad. The vinaigrette was magnificent and the sweet potatoes were roasted to perfection and danced delightfully with the cranberries and goat cheese. The sandwich featured toasted multigrain bread with a grilled chicken breast, gruyère, avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a sriracha aïoli.
