Was disappointed with what came in the rage room -- for $45 a person or only came with 10 beer bottles and 10 clay pigeons (per person). The "furniture" was a rubber made table with a hole in it, a piece of cabinet over two barrels and a cone. The dressing up in the coveralls & gloves probably took as long as the time in there ~10 minutes. The way they said the rules was super fast like the way they say the rules of a sweepstake entry on the radio. I legitimately could not understand what they said. But then it said on the wall, they will fine you if you damage the walls? They had us put our used items in a separate barrel to be cleaned, but when taking the mask off our faces, our faces were literally black with dirt. Nearby was a bunch of cans of aerosol Lysol bottles, idk if that's what they clean with?? But I got immediate allergies super congested that only happened once I left that place? One of the others we were with got a rash on her face? Possibly from the cleaning of the face masks? read more

10/10 experience!!! We went here for our very first time and booked a 30-minute session and had a blast!! My kids (12 and 14yo) had a great time here. The 30 min time we got was more than enough to break absolutely everything. They used teamwork to break open the safe in the room. Nick is the very best that no one ever was. To smash them was my real test, to throw them is my cause. I will travel across San Jose. To concuss them far and wide. Each rage room will understand the rage deep inside. Rage Room (Gotta Smash Them All!) Very nice room. I loved the breakables. We arrived earlier than our reserved spot and they accommodated us as soon as they had a clean room available for us. While we waited for them, we went next door to AxeVenture where my kids tried to hammer a nail straight into a block of wood (sounds easier than it is!) We were given coveralls and protective gear. The room was well stocked with breakable things. We had a fun time and even purchased extra clay pigeons and color blast bottles. The staff generously offered otter pops to my kids which was much appreciated! read more

The Smash City staff were friendly. They provided coveralls, safety gear, and had fun places to take pics (I love their "Cheaper than Therapy" sign). However, the objects available in the room for smashing were limited to large, mostly metal items that were virtually indestructible. If it were not for the addition of about a dozen glass bottles with brightly colored powder inside, there wouldn't have been anything satisfying to destroy. I was really hoping for printers or monitors or other such things that were actually destructible. read more

I wish I could give this review zero stars! I booked an appointment here at 11am for my brother and I, and we came 20 minutes early like it says in the confirmation email. So we got here at 10:38 am, and we have been waiting for an hour now, as it is 11:35 am. We have tried calling multiple times, and my brother emailed them asking for a full refund now because nobody has showed up still. This is completely unprofessional, especially because in the email it states, "No refund will be provided in case of booking cancellation or no-show." What happens if the employees are the no shows? This is very disappointing and I'm not sure if it's just because they open at 11am today or if they are always like this, but we definitely will not be returning. This is really disappointing because we were really looking forward to this activity as well. read more

Got stress? Then Smash City Rage Rooms is where you need to be! Smash experiences should be part of everyone's self care and therapy regimen. We came here after a rough day and boy did we have a blast. We destroyed furniture pieces using bats and hammers. We smashed beer bottles and ceramic discs against the wall. The staff were very friendly and helpful with getting us geared up. All in all, a very nice experience. Would definitely return whenever we need to let off steam. read more

The guy working there was great. He was friendly, explained the rules well and kept it simple. He even let my teen make music requests. Unfortunately, the dress code was not made clear on the website or even after registering. It was our first time and we arrived in pants and closed toe shoes but did not know we needed long sleeves and pants that fully cover ankles. We all had to wear coveralls on a hot day, in a hot room without air conditioning. Had we known the dress code, we could have been dressed in fewer layers and a lot more comfortable. Many of us bailed early because it was so uncomfortable. We had some fun but I was a bit disappointed in the lack of variety in the items that could be smashed. Just beer bottles, clay pigeons and wood. read more

While the actual space was on the smaller intimate side, Max Capacity is 120 guests-- so you can still have a good amount of folks for a party. Did I mention it includes a red carpet? It was rolled out for all of us upon entering and added that extra bit of glamour to match the occasion. Once inside, I appreciated the white walls and black drapes. There were multiple TV screens thoughtfully placed on the walls to showcase the celebrant. Later on, these same TV screens were used to present a slideshow of the birthday gal. Uplighting was laid out on the ground to lend to the atmosphere. In the middle was a mini stage that could be used for anything from performances to a DJ. The backlit black drapery behind the stage also gave cabaret vibes. From the looks of it, you could opt to bring your own catered food and also use their in house catering. For this specific party, they had both. The star of the food was their baked chicken-- It was tasty and fork tender. If I had to be nitpicky, the bathroom air freshener scent was off-putting. Pick up was easy. They did all the work. No lifting on our part. They don't have a fancy website. Most of the communication was done thru text. I sent my deposit via Zelle. Besides that the pricing was super great so I rented again for my daughter's first birthday party. This time around was wonderful! I got an invoice super quick and when it came to delivery Emmanuel called the day of to let me know a time he was arriving. I rented on a Saturday and they picked up on Monday and texted me an ETA. Super great company and will be renting from them again in the future.
