I lost count as to the number of times I pigged out at Smashburger while I was working in Chesapeake for 3 weeks, but however many it was, it wasn't enough! I created my own burger each time (I'm very picky) and each was perfect! Each was just as I had requested. With my complicated orders, that's saying something! I tried the sweet potato fries and the onion strings. Both were really good. I do have to say the sauce for the onion strings ... SUCKED! It was bitter. I imean, REALLY bitter. It needs some tweaking. I opted for ketchup to finish off the onion strings. The staff? Totally cool! Very friendly group of workers. I will say, the place is a bit on the SMALL side. Had to wait more than 20 minutes for a table. Oh, that's 20 minutes AFTER my food was ready. So, there's that. But overall, great place, great experience, great food. I happened to be looking for Firehouse Subs and a few doors down from there I ran into Smashburger on the day before Christmas Eve 2020. The lady behind the counter was perfect for the job...she described the burgers as I asked about them and she was so warm and kind. My receipt indicated her name is Kyla. I purchased the "Spicy Baja Double Smash". She was kind enough to offer me a small military discount as well. The burgers are small and there was almost no guacamole on it but I liked the heat from the jalapeño peppers. I've noticed the Hardees "Cheddar and Prime Rib Burger" is about $3 dollars cheaper, much larger, much tastier (actually seasoned) and even the bun is good. This is an update. Burgers were crispy and black on bottom. They got our order wrong 3 times. I swear I'm not exaggerating! 3x! My husband, my son, and I each got our burgers 15 mins apart. My family and I come here a lot. Like, a lot. It's one of our favorite places to go because the food is always amazing. I love that they have Brussels sprouts on their menu and my husband is obsessed with the sweet potato smash fries. We came last week for dinner, after not eating there in the few weeks prior, and the customer service has taken a huge turn for the better! I've been here 4 times now and the food and service is always good. The service is quick efficient and friendly. The food comes out hot and fresh and always delivers. I've had the Monarch and the Triple Double Pub Burger when I've come in and each have been fantastic. Also you can't go wrong with the Smashfries/Smashtots or sweet potato fries. After both of us speaking at length with the cashier about using their app offer, I received my food without a problem. My burger tasted good. My friend did not receive his second burger; neither did his receipt show he ordered, nor did the two employees who came to talk to us fix his missing burger situation. Third visit: This time, the person who took our orders did enter the discount available that week correctly. However, for some reason none of the particulars of our burger order appeared on our receipts, as they had in previous visits. I tried this place in San Diego and it was really good. This location in greenbrier is new so I wanted to give it a try. The staff was friendly and attentive. When you order they give you a number to put at your table and the staff delivers your food to you. They will also help clear your table as well. I got the classic smash burger and that was pretty good. I also ordered the smash fries. I thought the smash fries could use more olive oil, rosemary, and garlic like they claim to have in it. I didn't order a combo since it was more than $4 extra for fried and a drink. Food came out relatively quick. The burgers were just ok. My daughter and I both thought 5 Guys tastes better.
