Well, my wife and I had a taste for Smashburger after shopping tonight and saw they were open until 10. We walked up and saw the sign light was off and workers were inside cleaning. We pulled on the doors and they were open. I walked in and saw a young female at the cash register. She looked at me and then down at the ground. I politely asked the female at the register "are you guys still open". She looked at me in disgust, rolled her eyes at me and rudely said "yeah". I said, "alright, we definitely won't be eating here". "Way to be polite". We left and will never eat at this location again. It's amazing how rude this girl was. I just wanted a damn burger. The main thing wrong with this place is that it's so infested with flies that they kept running into our faces as we tried to eat our food. It was so bad that we requested to-go boxes so we could eat in a place where we weren't being accosted by insects. As for the food, the burger I had was average, but the Smash tots were excellent. First time here and I'll never be back. My husband and I only eat out once a week and we really look forward to our splurge meal all week. We decided to try smash burger today and got a couple burgers and an order of fries to go. My husband got the Colorado burger and I got the bacon and avocado burger. To say these were bland and tasteless would be an understatement! His Colorado burger had jalapeños, which had absolutely zero spice to them. I'm not sure how you take the soul out if jalapeños but they did. My avocado burger was nasty from top to bottom. The avocado had mostly turned brown, the bacon was flimsy, the bun was stale as heck, and the ranch was all but nonexistent. Now to top it all off... My husband ate his burger and I finished about 3/4 of mine. Since we finished lunch, we have both been in a state of horrible stomach aches. I don't know what they're doing at that place but the food is terrible and it's made us sick. Do yourself a favor and go to Five Guys for a good burger, this place was awful. Well, I don't know where to start. As soon as we walked in it felt like it was 90 degrees hot! I know it's winter but 90 degrees? I told the server and she said there was nothing she could do because the thermostat was not working. (I felt sorry for the poor girl to have to work in such an environment). Then the food came. The onion rings were an over-cooked, brown mess, (unlike the ad on the wall where the picture shows them golden light brown.) The hamburger wasn't bad (seriously it was good), it had bacon, a burger patty and brisket. Overall my experience did not compel me to return. This location has gone downhill fast (as described by many other reviewers). We visited about a month ago and there was a long hair in my burger and the order was wrong. Came back this past weekend to give it one more shot and our order was messed up yet again. Zero consistency with the kitchen. When I brought this to the managers attention regarding the order being incorrect, he basically told me I was wrong when the order was messed up for yet a second time in the same visit and they will fix it. Visited on 03/12/25. Cashier gave me the wrong amount (gave me the amount before the 'kids eat free' discount was automatically applied) and got an attitude when I gave her that amount instead of the actual amount (which I couldn't see until I had the recipet). Terrible food, I was given the veggie burger even though I ordered the chicken smash. Ordered 2 shakes which did not come and we were all almost done eating our food. The same cashier had a huge attitude when I went up to ask for them. She then made the shakes (I think kids size because the $6.19 shakes were previously much bigger) and aggressively smacked them down on the table. One shake ended up having a small piece of plastic in it. I didn't even alert them since I am sure they would not respond nicely. I'm shocked at how openly rude the staff is. Place is pretty empty (at lunch time) and not surprisingly considering the attitude & blatant rudeness of the employees. Will never return, do not recommend. Bad food, bad service, bad vibe. Firstly, I see that someone recently commented on the cashier today. Personally, she did an amazing job. She was handling everything well, my order was taken promptly and if anything, if her being polite is considered a bad thing then I don't know what people look for in costumer service anymore. There was quite a rush today so I was thoroughly impressed with how it was managed. A few hiccups here and there but mistakes happen. The only complain I can look to make is the cook. He looked like he was having a hard time and chose to make it everyone else's problem and it just all together didn't seem very professional of him. Cook had long hair down to his shoulders with his hair hovering all over the food that he was cooking as well as a fan blowing on him blowing his hair all around Wright over the food as he was cooking the food. Looks like a very gross very unsanitary situation to have a cook with that much hair blowing all around leaning right over your food as he cooks it. It is inevitable. I can't believe that Smashburger had such low reviews. I thought the food was great and you had tons of customization for your burger. I've never been to Smashburger before and the lady at the register did a thorough job of explaining everything. Her customer service was excellent. I wish I had got her name-she was that good. Our food came out after a few minutes to prepare and it was very delicious. I was very satisfied with the meal and would not hesitate to come back here again. Absolutely perfect for food poisoning. The service here was beyond horrible. We ordered 4 meals. After waiting 10 min we saw 4 people who ordered behind us get their food. At the 20 min mark we finally had one of the kids meals brought to us. We told them we had three other meals and the next meals came 10 minutes apart from each other after we complained again. At that point we were still missing a meal and were repeatedly brought the wrong meal of tenders instead of the double burger. We complained they gave us the wrong meal and they cook got mad at us and demanded to see our receipt that they haven't given us so they looked us up in the system to see they were wrong we waited another 10min and they still didn't have our last meal. We let the other kids start eating at this point only to realize 2 of the meals had hair in it from the cook not wearing a hairnet and one of the chicken tenders meal was bloody inside. We have being coming to this location for two years and have slowly watched it change. The service isn't as nice and help as it once was and tonight I notice it had alit of tables needing wiped down. The floor had soda or something all over it by several tables. It took longer than normal to get our food, no one was in the restaurant at the time. Smashburger is not my favorite burger, but it is pretty darn good. Their smashfries are probably my most favorite too. I love rosemary and salt and it is so delicious. I've come to this location a few times and it has been pretty consistent as far as service, wait time and cleanliness. They aren't overly friendly, but not rude or anything like that. Burger tasted good. However my son and I got a gluten free bun and it was ice cold. Not very enjoyable. My husband's regular bun was toasty warm. There was no one in the restaurant but us.
