Chicken was really dry and over cooked. Fries were crispy but way too much salt. Burger was smaller than I remember and had onion and tomatoes which I requested be held off. Also saw two other orders have issues while we were eating. There is a communication issue as the order is placed and the staff have to then go back and retell the order to the cooks. One cook decided to hang out in the waiting area where he asked a customer how the food was and there was then a discussion with some four letter words shared. I can't believe what just happened to me at this location. I have NEVER had such an altercation with a food service worker in my life. I was admittedly upset after waiting 20 minutes for a bacon brisket burger and receiving bread, a burger patty, 2 dry pieces of brisket and no bacon. I returned to the store with the burger and the manager asked what I wanted. I told him what was wrong with the burger and he said, "so what do you want." I said "I definitely want a refund for this $15 plain burger and I would like to buy a different item." "I guess I can refund it," was his response. I said, "you guess?" in return and laughed. After refunding he simply said, "bye." I asked, "can I not get another burger?" To which he ignored me. I asked another employee what was going on and if I could speak to someone else. Terrible. I got a bacon cheese burger and 6 wings. Not only are the wings soggy, they barely have any sauce. The young women expediting the orders was more concerned hitting on my wife (actually told me she would take her home and treat her well if I didn't), than getting my order right. I didn't get any of the side sauces I asked for (for the wings). My burger was a glorified over priced JR Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's, but with no pickles (which I asked if they came with and was told yes). It has been about four years since we have eaten at Smashburger, primarily because of the lack of parking during eating hours. This area of this fairly newly constructed outdoor mall is laid out like a grade school student designed it with no experience and no common sense whatsoever!!! If you want to take a hike before you eat because you can't find a parking spot, there are several restaurants to choose from within feet of each other and my recommendation is to make Smashburger your LAST choice!! Four years ago the prices were fair and the burgers were MUCH larger!! I could share a burger with my then four year old and we would both be full. Fast forward four years and my now eight year old can eat TWO of their grown up burgers!! I did not order him a kid burger and gratefully so, or I would have had to order a couple more to fill him up!! The burger and bread SHRUNK big time and the prices went way higher!! A BBQ bacon burger is $6.99 and it didn't fill me up and I don't eat much!! I diet every single day by way of eating what I want, but eating much less than most. Typically I would take half of a burger home (even from Culver's) but not today. We arrived early (only one person having arrived prior to us) for lunch and the soap dispenser was empty in the ladies restroom. The garbage can in the ladies restroom was full. There was hair in the sink. It obviously was not cleaned from the night before. There were just a few forks and a couple knives put out in an almost empty area where you pick up your own utensils. Customer service is very poor. Ordered my food and when I get to the drink machine a worker is sitting on the counter leaning against the machine, when I begin to fill my drink she just sits there and doesn't even move out of my way. 2 of the ladies cleaning the lobby were yelling back and forth about how terrible other workers are and how lazy people are, mean while she's sitting on a counter where people per there food/drinks. They proceed to yell while we are waiting for are food. First meal all is good, food is fresh, no issues. Second meal arrives and it is not as ordered, when we tell them the lady delivering the food was hardly willing to bring the food back to be remade properly. We placed an online order for 2 burgers, 2 sides, and 2 milkshakes for delivery. We didn't receive the order for over 1.5 hours, we only live like 4 miles from the location. The food showed up completely cold - not luke warm, completely cold. The french fries and tater tots were so soggy that when you dropped them on the counter, they left a puddle of oil. And WAY WAY too much oil and rosemary was used - so much that they were not even edible, if you could ignore the sogginess. We spent approx. $50 for basically 2 milkshakes, because the burgers and the sides were disgusting, they went into the trash. For context we placed two orders, a dine in and a separate dine out order. You would think getting more of what keeps you in business would be wanted. Granted in fairness the cashier, you know the social butterfly, she placed it on the same ticket which apparently is the short order equivalent of crossing the polarities; that would be a Ghostbusters reference. Any hoot the cook had a hissy for about it which manifested itself in asked the customers to place the in a certain way. While we probably did more work then the ones working the front, not sure why the cook felt bitching and raising voices to ladies and their kids was proper or would correct the issues they were battling internally. At my location the manager alfredo is a complete jerk he was judging me on what I was ordering and also while I was ordering he was just talking to a fellow employee not paying attention to me while ordering. Otherwise the food is always fantastic an I have never had any other problems. I have returned to the same location and did not see Alfredo and have had a much experience. Today I was served by Benny who was much nicer and did not do any of the things mentioned above. Once I got it I realized I didn't get my chicken sandwich so I went back in and asked for it and they said they would get it for me. Walked in on a weekday evening, place is under Reno, no big deal. I've been coming here for years, always great food and service. No one in line, a few people in the store eating and similar waiting for online order pickup. My first greeting was a young girl yelling from the side where she's bagging orders to let me know it would be a 20-25 min wait. I acknowledged and stood at the register so I could place an order. I made eye contact with her multiple times and she never came to the register to take my order. After about 8 min of standing there I left. She just continued to bag orders and yell names to pick them up. More people continued to walk in for online orders and left with food while I stood there. Two more people stood in line behind me and she told them as well, 20-25 min. They turned around and left. She wasn't clear if her 20-25 min was how long it would take to come ring me up or get my food. And all I could tell was that it was her out front and maybe 1-2 cooks.
