The OG The Cheesy Classic Chili Fries
    Ashli A.

First time trying this out - quality smash burgers that are actually SMASH burgers!!! Negatives - it's Pepsi -wish the fries were crispier and hot. But the garlic aioli was a nice side sauce for dipping -sliced onions were a little hard to fully bite through. Chopped would have been nice -music is a tinge loud in the back room area -chili didn't have flavor Positives -burgers are delicious -toppings are fresh -burger buns are soft -spacious. Lots of seats to choose from -service was great. Staff was friendly and explained the menu line up since we are new to the area. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I got the OG and everything was great. Loved the sauce too on the burger.

This is a very unique place to eat. But the burgers are phenomenal. And the loaded fries... omg!! Since discovering this gem we have been back 3 times.

I don't know how I've missed this place for so long. We were looking for a good place for burgers and yelp suggested this location. We were not disappointed. I had the salmon Smashburger with two patties. The flavors are awesome and it's such a nice change from beef. The fries are crunchy and flavorful. The front desk counter person was very friendly and helped us understand the menu since it was our first visit. This is a great place to hang out with your family and friends. Very comfortable environment. Can't wait for it to warm up just a bit so we can sit on the patio.

I may have just found my new favorite local burger. Overall, the quality of the food was excellent. Each item was well-made, hot and fresh. The service was just as good as the food; everything came out quickly, and the staff members were hospitable. That said, things were a bit pricey, especially given the portion sizes. One bit of feedback, they really need to add shoestring fries to the menu. No smashed burger spot is really complete without them.

The Original from the Smash'd trailer at the Riley Festival
    Christina B.

I've had Smash'd on my list to try for awhile but just haven't made it in yet. But I saw the trailer at the Riley Festival and knew I had to try it since it pretty much came to me. It looked like they had a good variety of burger options from their regular menu on the trailer menu. I went with the original and it was pretty good! I'm not generally a burger person. I ONLY liked them smashed and with lots of toppings. And this burger was that. The burger patty was crispy, the bun was soft, and the toppings were crisp. We got our burgers in about 30 seconds so they had to be pre-prepared. The burger was just warm, not hot, but I'm sure that's just the nature of ordering your burger from a trailer during a busy festival instead of the restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try more!

I have been seeing this place on social media and wanted to give it a try. I was able to park on the street and there is more parking available in back. There is outside seating, high top seating or regular seating available. The menu is plentiful and lots of options. I ordered the danger Smash'd burger with a double patty. They have salmon and chicken as protein options as well. Service is nice and fast. Price point is affordable. Can't wait to try more of the menu!

We had been hearing about this place since it opened and I have to say, it absolutely lived up to the hype! The service was so friendly and helpful! This was honestly was the best smashed burger I've ever had. You can tell the food was fresh and the fries were delicious! My only rec is that the food is very filling, so one patty was plenty for myself and my boyfriend got two and that was the right amount for him.

    Gluten free burger
    Kristin U.

We got takeout from here for a birthday dinner. I had trouble with the lack of allergen menu. I had to hunt to find that yes, they have gluten free buns available. They do have "gluten-friendly" fries as well. They carry a lot of sauces, and I think they're probably what "make" the burgers, but I couldn't find any info on what was in them so couldn't safely order online. I ended up asking for mayo on the side, but it wasn't included in our order. The gluten free bun was burnt, and without a sauce or cheese (which I can't have as I'm medically dairy-free) it was a bit dry. The burger patty itself was good, and the lettuce, pickles, and tomato were too. Fries were okay, but nothing special. So I'd try this again, maybe when I can ask about the sauces or when they get an allergen menu together, but it won't be my first choice for a burger for now. If you are gluten free and dairy free like me, may be hit or miss, but could be worth a visit if you're in Irvington.

This is the best smashburger spot in Indy!! There are so many good creative options for burgers and fries! The wait for the food was a bit long but it was well worth every minuten Everything was so good, the lady who took our order upfront was helpful and funny! 10/10 would come again!

This place is really good. My family and I came and really like it. Burgers were well prepared with crispy edges and the fries were so good! We came on a Tuesday so the special came with a free dole whip! Service was great as well. Parking was not easy though but once you do, it's pretty great!

For a quick, easy, and delicious burger spot, look no further! On busy nights you may have to circle the block to find street parking but it's worth it. There is patio seating and two rooms of indoor seating. When I walked in I was greeted by two kind and friendly employees who saw the indecisiveness written all over my face and helped me decide on a burger! It was a tough choice because there were so many unique options. I got the PBJ Time burger which was honey roasted peanut butter, Boar's Head bacon, crispy jalapeños, + pepper jack. I order it as a combo so I could get the sweet potato waffle fries and a drink. My friend got ice cream (Dr. Pepper ice cream!) which she so graciously let me try and it was super tasty! Definitely a great place to grab a bit on a nice summer evening.

When you're walking in Irvington, passing this area really smells strong in a burger sense so it's just hard to resist stopping in. They don't have a designated parking lot, you'll have to find street parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating with separated sections for the bar area and the family friendly area. They have good customer service-- I was getting water and someone offered me a lid for the cup. Water was free. Pricing here is average --a burger cost around nine dollars and more, fries are about four dollars and more. It gets busy on a Thursday afternoon around 7 PM. The theater beside them has open mic night on Thursdays from 7 to 10 that's outside so you can enjoy that while you're eating your meal outside. You can get free refills on soda - they have Pepsi products. The water cup looks different. They have restrooms inside. After you order, you take a number and they bring the food to you. Many people choose to eat outside, especially if they have animals. I got the farmhouse burger that came with bacon and an egg with sweet potato fries and sweet sauce sweet. My husband got the dangerous burger with the cut fries. They place next door plays music so it was a whole vibe. The food was delivered hot, I love that! It didn't take too long either, another plus. Everything was so good. I love smashed burgers, so this is definitely a great spot to keep in mind. I really liked the regular fries but the sweet potato fries are really good too!

Hands down favorite burger in Indy so far! I'm a sucker for a good smashburger and they hit the nail on the head. I ordered a single burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon on the burger with pickles and their burger sauce on the side. I did visit during the lunch menu and was able to snag a combo for $13. The waffle fries were delicious and the ice cream was delicious. I tried the cappuccino and chip, so so good. Will be back!

However, as I parked I spied Sleepy Hollow Gourmet Deli & Cafe along with a Jack's Donuts. I was curious. So, I wheeled over and realized they were like conjoined culinary twins. I detoured my plans and decided to hang out at Sleepy Hollow, a delightfully named establishment (though I do wish they'd lean into the decor a bit more) for this Irvington-set restaurant. Jack's does seem to be the dominant force here. There are donuts, bagels, cookies, and even kolaches. The prices are surprisingly affordable. Drinks include hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, boba energy, and Pepsi products. They do have both sweet and unsweetened iced tea. The menu also includes Choc-ola! The deli menu includes toasted subs (every sub has 1/4-pound of meat and you can go double for an extra price). They use Boar's Head meats. You can get chips and a soft drink to make it a combo. This strip center is always a little hit-and-miss in terms of access, however, with some nearby road construction it seems just a bit slower and I was able to find a spot that improved my accessibility. If you go to the door by the entrance, the curb has a bit of a step to it. If you go to the end of the aisle, there's a smooth and level section to make it all easily work. The interior itself is nicely laid out and easily accessible. The employees were super friendly. They also offer catering. There's a combination of higher-top tables and regular tables. Business was fairly steady, however, I had no issue finding a place to sit. I ended up ordering a chicken salad sandwich that was a healthy size and quite tasty. I grabbed a bag of chips and my usual unsweetened iced tea. Pricing was right about $13. Overall, I was quite pleased and I would easily return. Whether you're seeking donuts or a deli sandwich, Sleepy Hollow (or Jack's) is an ideal place to stop in.

A work of edible art -- crispy rye hugging tender corned beef like it was saying "don't ever leave me." Spoiler: I didn't. We also tackled a basket of fried glory -- fries, jalapeño poppers, mushrooms, probably some hush puppies sent from heaven. Each bite whispered, "You'll need a nap after this," and I listened. The sauces? Four tiny cups of personality. BBQ sauce with swagger, honey mustard with attitude, ranch that knew its worth, and ketchup just happy to be here. It's counter service with clear menu boards on the wall, making ordering easy. I had the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon and an egg and... my goodness. So incredibly delicious. One friend ordered the same grits but swapped in fried catfish instead of bacon--also a fantastic choice. Our third went with a classic plate with eggs and bacon, and let me tell you, the bacon is thick and plentiful. We ordered a side of fries for the table and there were more than enough to share. We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
