I had recently seen an advertisement for SmashD, however I can't remember where, and when I was trying to tell my Husband about it, I couldn't think of what it was called so we just did a Google search of Smash burger places in the city and when we came across the name I knew it was what I was looking for, especially after reading some reviews. It seemed like the perfect spot since we were in the mood for a smash burger and wanted to try something new. When we arrived at the restaurant, we walked inside to the left (not through the patio door) and went to counter which had menus laying on it. The inside is smaller, more intimate, with limited seating however there are about four patio tables outside as well. Based on other reviews that I have read, you can take your food next-door to Frankfort liquors and eat there while enjoying a drink or you can also order from there as they have QR codes on the bar. The staff will even bring it over to you which I confirmed after we finished eating and walked next door to check it out. Once we placed our order, the cashier walked into the Kitchen to make it. We each got a double smash burger and shared an order of beef tallow fries. It wasn't really busy so the food didn't take very long and of course came out hot and fresh. The burger patties were much bigger than I expected, literally hanging off the bun but were the perfect amount of smash. Some smash burgers in my experience have had their edges too crispy. No doubt about it, Smash'D was truly a smash hit for us all. Our expectations were high and they were surely met. Exceeded, even, in the case of the burger we ordered. It was juicy and topped with a delicious "burger sauce". Not sure what that means exactly, but whatever it was, it was pretty amazing. The chicken sandwich was also very good quality, though probably could have used a bit more sauce. That's just personal preference from a sauce addict, though. There were also shoestring fries, which I was hesitant to order at the mention of "shoestring"- they had never been my cup of tea. Luckily they were less of a shoestring- and more of a rope-size. Hot and fresh, as well. Overall, Smash'D provided an absolutely delicious burger and chicken sandwich and some fresh, falsely-shoestring fries. We stopped into Frankfort Avenue Liquor for a drink and saw the QR code to order from SmashD. It was easy to order using our phone & noted that we were customers at FAL. SmashedD staff delivered our food to FAL when it was ready. The smash burger has great seasoning and was cooked perfectly. The real star of the show was the thick chocolate milkshake. I called to complain and he pretty much said that because I ordered through delivery, he couldn't do anything about it. No apologies, nothing. My husband and I went to SmashD on Frankfort in early December 2025, around 2 pm. We walked into the restaurant, in the ordering area, and a young man took our order. In the room adjacent to the ordering area, we saw something we've never witnessed before: a couple of young men supervising what appeared to be a few young men, frankly, who were mentally and physically challenged...and loud...the supervisors were teaching them how to clean the tables and chairs...all within a couple of feet from us...paying customers! Now settle down, all you who are reading this, but instructing people in a restaurant should be done without paying customers close by. Was here today for lunch with my wife. Both ordered the smashd burger. I have to say it was one of the most delicious burgers I've had in my life. The fries were also quite good. They have on-site parking and the food is cooked to order. I definitely recommend this restaurant if anybody that is review. You will not be disappointed.
