I have extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist, and the staff at Smile Connection were extremely understanding and patient with me. They walked me through every step. Came in because of a cracked wisdom tooth, and they were able to see me the same day. After seeing the dentist, he was able to confirm my broken tooth and was able to fit me in with their oral surgeon to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed that Saturday. The oral surgeon was kind, gentle, and quick. I was in and out in under an hour. They were able to call in my medication to my local preferred pharmacy, and it was ready for pickup in less than an hour. This is a dental clinic that really cares about their patients and their health. My procedure was Saturday, and by today, Monday, they were giving me a call to check on me and make sure I was feeling okay and to make sure I didn't have any questions. They had good reviews, I decided to call and book an appointment. I'm really really sad to write this. Initially, my experience with Smile connection was fantastic. I love the team (and still do) truly amazing people. Here's my issue and please don't take this lightly. About 7 months after I got 5 root canals, one of them had to be re-treated. I was referred by Dr.Chen directly to another dentist who specializes in Endodontics. Wound up having to get the tooth removed fully by a surgeon who works with Dr.Chen frequently. The surgeon AND Endodontics both stated that the crown for the root canal wasn't done properly and wasn't sitting on the existing tooth correctly causing the tooth to basically soak in bacteria through the gap between the root-canaled tooth and the crown. Guess what... 1 year later, and ANOTHER tooth that Dr.Chen did now has to be re-treated and I can literally put a tool UNDER the crown and clearly it's not sitting correctly like the other ones. Now i have to spend more time and money trying to fix something that should have been done correctly in the first place by a doctor. I put 1000% trust into Dr.Chen to perform all of these root canals with the best care, and clearly they all fell short of this. I will never go back to Smile connection because now I have lost all trust in their work. read more

This is a brand new location and I drive all the way here because of Dr. Benson. He is a great dentist and takes great care in making sure my teeth is healthy, clean and white. I appreciate the time he takes to make sure I feel cared for and all my questions are answered. Anytime I ask advice about teeth product (whitening) he gave me his honest opinion- told me that they pretty much all will give me the same result and no need to pay extra money. I appreciate that. In addition, the facility is new so obviously clean, but I think what I love most is that every time I come, they have a kid friendly movie or video playing. I had been having several dental issues and went to this doctor to have them treated. The doctor stated that I needed to have oral surgery and told me on the 12th the oral surgeon would be coming in to do my procedure. I paid all copays and any fees necessary. When I got there, the surgeon refused to introduce himself to me and stated that he was not in the mood to tell me what his name was. The doctor, the oral surgeon, told me that he was not in the mood to tell me his name felt like he had had a slight heat stroke and really did not feel like doing the surgery because he felt like my blood pressure was too high and that I did not like him. I got up and walked out because of this rude experience. Today when i went back to get my copay repayment and all other images related to my case, the dentist attempted to shift blame onto me and continued to state things like I'm sorry we didn't feel your expectation. The doctor tried to act like he was releasing me as a patient because of my behavior citing that I was yelling at him but ignored the fact that I raised my voice because his surgeon was treating me like crap. I let the dentist know that his behavior was not accountability to any regard and that I was not happy and I would not be returning. He tried to act like he didn't want me as a patient because of my behavior but overlooked the fact that my anger was due to both him and his referring surgeon. Overall, the staff was very friendly and very efficient at their job! I got my X-ray and was sent over to Dr. Peter Huang for my exam in a matter of minutes! WOW! What an awesome dentist! In just the last two years alone, I've tried over 5 dentists before I found Dr. Benson... and I'm sticking with him now that I've found his practice. Most of the places I tried looked like they were straight out of the 1950s or they were big corporations that would treat you like cattle. But Dr. Benson and his team here are modern, professional, and some of the nicest people I've ever met!! I have a small mouth, so x-rays usually take a little longer since it takes some time to get the plastic into the right place. The x-ray assistant was super patient, and she made sure that I was comfortable before taking each round of x-rays. The actual teeth cleaning was very thorough, they made sure that they slowed down around some of the more sensitive teeth, and it ended up being pretty painless. Highly recommended! I came in last month for oral surgery to get my 4 wisdom teeth removed. My original dentist couldn't do surgery so I was recommended by medical to smile connection, I wasn't able to remember all their names because i was so nervous but the receptionist we're all really friendly, when I went in for my surgery we had to take our daughters with us & they were nice enough to put a movie on for them as they waited for me. Before the surgery the surgeon & his assistant did explain risks & everything to me before doing anything, it was so fast he took about 30 mins in the surgery, the pain was actually no as bad as I thought, the following day the receptionist did call me to get an update & to see how I was doing, which I was pretty surprised because not everyone does that! This dental office, doctor, and staff have made my dental experience so great that I don't fear going to the dentist when something goes wrong with my teeth!! Dr. Chen is the most patient, kind, and knowledgeable dentist out there! I used to go to western dental but the treatment there was horrible compared to this! At western dental they try to do all this unnecessary work and root canals because of the insurance payout but here Dr. Chen has only done the necessary work, the way it should be! Like most people I dread going to the dentist and this place has changed everything! I've been checking out different dental offices for a new dentist now that I finally have insurance. Making an appointment was easy and the whole new patient process was so easy and not confusing at all. One thing that I noticed is that the office is really clean and everyone is so professional. I had my appointment with Dr. Benson for a cleaning. He was so patient answering all of my questions and going over my X-rays. He really has this calming aurora about him that makes the whole dentist experience not as scary! You can just tell that Dr. Benson is a really genuine person and is making recommendations as if he were the patient. I came in because I wanted to get a second opinion, this other office wanted me to do some laser therapy thing that was going to cost a lot. Coming from a bad experience at a different dentist, I'm glad they caught my other two cavities that the other dentistry did not. They are professional, intellectual, and highly knowledgeable and skillful but also humble, gentle, and friendly.
