To preface, I haven't been to the dentist in a long while as I've always been apprehensive due mainly to some uncomfortable experiences in the past but I have to say that my 1st visit to Alta Dental Care was a very positive experience (after finding them through a Google search of local top rated dentists). From the polite receptionists at the front desk (Julie & Jennifer) to the informative assistant (Amanda) who gave me a tour of the layout before I was seated in the chair, to the careful administer of the novocaine (Natalie) and finally to the very personable Dr. Zaveri himself, everyone was really a pleasure to deal with. In fact I was only planning on getting X-rays at first but after being made to feel comfortable, & I thought since I was already there, I also had a couple of necessary fillings done after cavities were discovered. Totally painless by the way. Dr. Zaveri himself is very positive & informative and he also has the sort of personality that put me at ease despite my nervousness....very down to earth & easy to talk to....and has an obvious affinity for his profession. In addition he was understanding with regard to my not having dental insurance and although I don't have a basis of comparison as to how he deals with his other patients, he was considerate to me personally, which I was appreciative & thankful for. As for the layout, very aesthetically pleasing & clean. Furthermore, I've never seen such state of the art dental equipment in my life....I really got the feeling that this is a practice that implements the latest technology, which was also reassuring. I'm actually now even looking forward to going back in again to get some bridgework done in a couple weeks..... Needless to say I would definitely recommend you pay Dr. Zaveri and his friendly staff at Alta Dental Care a visit if you're considering dental work or even if you're perhaps looking for a change in dentists......I can confidently guarantee from my own experience, you will be happy you did. read more

Having worked for several companies that changed their dental plans on a yearly basis I have had the opportunity to try many different dentists. Overall this dentist office is better than most: Dr. Zaveri is a young dentist who is both knowledgeable regarding the latest techniques and technically skilled (actually can perform the procedures well) He has a very relaxed but professional manner with both patient and staff. He takes the time to explain and show you what needs to be done to improve your teeth (You can tell a lot about a dentists patience as to how fast they administer novacaine how long they wait to begin work. A good dentist will take their time administering the shot, and then wait long enough for it to take effect before they start work, Dr. Z does both). You can also tell a lot about a dentist by the staff they surround themselves with: Office Administrator / Assistant does her job well without being aggressive about it. Dental Hygenist Carlos is very good at his job and can work under extreme conditions with an amazing attidute. I had my infant son with me and he became fussy so Carlos allowed me to have my son laying on my chest while he performed the teeth cleaning. Amazing who ever heard of a dental office where that could happan. The technician who doesthe photography and x-rays is top notch also. This office takes emergency patients without an appointment, which means your appointment might have to wait a little bit, but if you were the one with the emergency .you would want it to be that way for you. I think this office has the best technology, the crays are nice and you don't have to wait two weeks to get your crown. I do think the office is very nice looking and its very bright Ive been to some that don't have windows in the back and its dark and makes the experience worse. BUT what I don't like is........The office doesn't act professional, the receptionist Rochelle I think her name is has her cell phone next to her and every once in awhile you will find her tinkering around on it. The staff smiles and their nice but what you will catch them saying is anything but professional. Ive heard someone come out of the bathroom telling the assistant who was working on me not to go into the bathroom because she was in there for awhile.. also I have good hearing so maybe others wont pick up on it but Ive heard them in the room where they sterilize talking and some of the stuff being said is more explicit than a porno ..and that's not something I wanna hear when I'm trying to get my teeth fixed or anywhere for that matter. I just feel like they should be doing other things than talking about their home life and what they do with their b/f at night or about partying and getting drunk. As far as the Dr. goes he is nice but he does have a little bit of attitude depends on how you are as a patient I guess the easier you are to work with then the nicer he will be. Also the instruments have white crud all over them so I don't know if their well sterilized but maybe that's because instead of being sterilized everyone is busy with their phones and talking about the nasties. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Zaveri for 5 years now. Let me tell you that my first visit wasn't a planned one. With my wedding 2 weeks away, a bachelor party gone bad left me with 2 broken front teeth. Yes, you read that correctly. My wife set me up with an appointment to see her dentist (Dr. Zaveri) first thing the day after the incident. They took me right in and got to work. First they made me 2 replacement teeth "on the fly" to get me by for a day or 2 while they made custom replacements on their CNC machine. The temporary teeth looked good enough for me to go to work and not have to tell my bachelor party story every 10 minutes. When I went back for the permanent replacements, I can't tell you how impressed I was. Dr. Zaveri is not a dentist, he's an artist. I still remember what Dr. Zaveri told me when we first met and I questioned how realistic my new teeth would look. He said "I wouldn't put anything in your mouth that I wouldn't put in my own". He earned a little trust from me there. Once my new replacement teeth were put in, you would never know they weren't my natural teeth. The color, shape, size and texture were spot on. Now, 5 years later, I am writing this review with the same smile I had after the original work was completed. No color changes or signs of movement to date so needless to say, I am extremely happy with my experiences there. I also go in routinely for my cleanings and all my other dental needs. After dealing with a few other dentist, that did not meet my expectations, I came into the office of Dr. Zaveri. From the start, the front desk staff was very nice and even offered a bottled water. The wait was not long at all, the staff took me to the back, before siting me down, they gave me a tour of the place and even gave me a little background of Dr. Zaveri. I went in because of my pain caused by the other dentist. I had a root canal and a crown done at the other dentist office, however, it was not done correctly, causing my tooth to develop bacteria which lead to PAIN... Dr. Zaveri not only fixed the bad work form the other dentist, he also put in two new crowns. By the way they have their own machine that makes the crowns while you wait. (no more coming back to put in a crown, you could get everything done in one visit). By far the BEST DENIST .... The best part is when Jennifer called the next day to see how was I doing and if I needed anything form them to call and they will bring me in right away. I did go in the next day to re-adjust my crown, however, I was in and out of the office in 10 min. My overall experience from customer service, knowledge of dentistry, and Dr. Zaveri was amazing.. I have had bad experiences with every Dentist I've ever been to, until now. Dr. Zaveri has a great way of making you feel comfortable, and it's obvious that he loves what he does! But what puts this Dentist in the "Outstanding" category is: 1. The way he gives the Novocain shots (which can be the worst part of any visit) is by going half way in with the first shot, then after you're already numb, he goes in for the deep shot (which is usually a killer!). Why hasn't anybody else thought of doing it this way? 2. You get his full attention. Other Dentists will leave you sitting for half an hour or more while they take care of someone else. Dr. Zaveri does not double-book. In other words, he books one patient at a time. The waiting can be agonizing for me, so I truly appreciate Dr. Zaveri getting me in, getting me done, and getting me out of there! 3. Awesome Technology! A Root Canal at other Dentists can take 3-4 appointments to complete the procedure. Dr. Zaveri makes his own crowns right there in his office! I had the root canal AND the permanent crown in an hour and a half! Very impressive! His staff is great and the office is very attractive, making for a very pleasant atmosphere. I found this dentist via Yelp, and true to the reviews, my experience was as good as it gets. I had an onlay put in my way-back molar (#18 I think he said it was). The technology involved really impressed me: After scraping away the existing (old) filling and decay, Dr. Zaveri used a whiz-bang computer setup to image the half-tooth. That image was then brought up on a CAD-like workstation, where he designed an onlay, which is basically a puzzle-piece restoration that fits exactly the missing parts of the tooth. After he finished tweaking the design (~5 minutes), he transmitted that design to a milling machine in the same office. This was the cool part: out of a color-matched block of material, the machine spent about 15 minutes machining an exact replacement for the missing parts of my tooth. After that whole process was done, he cemented it into my tooth. It looks perfect -- no seams, and the color matches exactly. Done and done. The guy knows his stuff, and explains every step of what he's going to do. Like the previous reviewer, I also got treated to the Bose noise-canceling headphones. They offered an iPod shuffle, but I had brought my own. I would (and already have) recommend Alta Dental to anyone. Thanks, Dr. Zaveri! read more

I visited this office and the technology is impressive. You don't have to wait a long time to get your crown. BUT I do have to say that its not very professional, the receptionist I think her name is Rochelle not sure but she had her cell phone right next to her tinkering around on it every once in awhile. To me it seems as though the staff just came out of high school the things that were said were more explicit than what you would find on a porno. There personalities seemed fake . They were nice to your face but what you hear behind your back is different . their not very discreet about what they say and who's around. I'm not in high school anymore so I dint wanna feel like I am . Also the Dr. is nice but it seems like he gets pissed off it your not the perfect patient . I have a gaging problem and it seemed as though he gets mad at that. AND the instruments had white crud all over it like it wasn't fully sterilized. Other than the instruments looking as if they were taken out of one room and placed in your room without being cleaned and the staff with their high school attitude the office was the best looking office Ive been into and the technology they had was good . read more

The reason I chose this office was because of the good reviews I read on yelp. I am so glad I went to this office. This is one of the most technological advance dental offices I have been to. I waited too long with a broken tooth and finally it started to hurt. When I called this office the receptionist was able to accommodate me the same day. I needed a root canal and crown and you won't believe THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK LESS THAN 2 HOURS including the final crown. Previously when I had root canal and crown, I remember I had to go 3-4 times, they gave me temporary crown which I needed to wear for about 2 weeks and then I have to go for final crown. At this office they use this machine where they can make permanent ceramic crown in about 5 min!!! The whole process was very fast, painless and efficient that this was the first time I actually enjoyed dental visit. They do have payment plan and the fees were very reasonable. The next day dentist personally called me asking how I was doing. I told him that the pain is gone and will definitely be back for teeth cleaning. He is very caring and thorough dentist. Wrong place!I did not have any pain and I just went to dentist for first time to visit.The doctor said 3 of my teeth need crown and I accept it(I wish I did not) he did them in the first appointment and charged me and my insurance. after 2 days one of my teeth which he put crown started to pain a lot,I came back to the place and doctor said it need to be rout channel. They charged me all the bill because my insurance was already over limited and put hole on the crown and did rout channel.After 2 weeks I am writing this review with big pain on the other one he put crown which I am sure need rout channel too and I down to insurance and money because I picked up the wrong place. I asked them 3 times to give me my teeth O.P.G scan and they ignored me each time,finally after I wrote review They sent me x-rays and I showed to another doctor and he said non of those three teeth did not need to be covered by crown because the cavity was not that big. After all I lost my Insurance ,$2000 from my pocket and pain is what I earned. Never go back to this place. Do not omit my Review Admin! read more

I have to start by saying I haven't been to many dentists that have actually helped the situation that my teeth were in at the time of seeing them and they seem to want to fix something competely different then what's bothering me I feel like all the want to do is max out my insurance and my wallet So that being said I was very skeptical of finding a dentist on yelp but I'm so glad I did :) The staff had nothing but smiles and I felt like they just wanted to help and not just drain my pocket they actually seem like they love their job or really like working for Dr. Zaveri and who wouldn't he is super nice and he seems to genuinely care about giving you the care you need and does whatever he can possible to help even on the financial end he helped me out so much just to make sure that what I needed done got done So if you are looking for a great dentist in your area this would be the place you want to go I'm telling you I would travel a great distance to keep Dr. Zaveri as my dentist And I just want to say thanks to him and his staff for all thier help read more

I am the biggest chicken when it comes to seeing the dentist!! With that being said, I wanted to send a shout out to Dr. Zaveri and his amazing staff at Alta Dental. It had been a couple of years since I had been to a dentist. It probably would have been a couple of more had a big chunk of my back molar not chipped off. Yuck. Anyway, I went on Yelp, saw the amazing reviews for Alta Dental and I made my appointment. The office staff was very professional and very kind. Dr. Zaveri was amazing. I honestly could say that I didn't notice the shot to numb the area until he was halfway done and that was only because I saw him lifting it out to numb another section. I didn't feel a thing and THAT IS HUGE for me, because I hate shots. The new crown was completed there in-house in a matter of minutes and it looks completely natural. Thank you, Dr. Z and staff. I had previously been going to another dentist for over twenty years, when a change of job meant a change in my insurance. I was hesitant about finding a new dentist, but I am so glad I did! He and his staff are all so compassionate, patient, and understanding. You can tell that they really care about their patients. Decided to be a more responsible adult and visit the dentist on my own without being dragged in by my parents. As you can imagine I was very reluctant to step inside let alone make an appointment. However, every step from making my initial appointment to getting my examination and work done was incredibly easy and pain free. Dr. Zaveri and all the staff were incredibly welcoming and caring. Office is also very clean and organized. I believe they genuinely care for you, as they take their time to explain every procedure and make sure you are comfortable. Got my examination, needed some work done, got it done same day. As a bonus they let me borrow some Bose noise canceling headphones while i was getting my teeth excavated. Listening to Beyonce and tuning everything else out makes it so much easier. If you are looking for a great dentist and your insurance is accepted here, look no further! read more

I Hate the Dentist...now here we go...Dr. Z is a great Dentist..!!! started with him when the new office opened on Foothill. Our former DDS was in LA. We were set up for scheduled dental care and all was pre set with our Insurance..of course we still pay our share. I had routine care and cleanings...then alot of pain lower right jaw...u got it .root canal time..went in on an emergency and Dr. Z did a great job ..newest equipment and I saw on tv the process as he explained it..today..cleaning appt. Staff asked if I had any issues..well Yes, a slight pain in lower left part..Dr.Z came in ckd me and found a broken crown..and again I saw the 3 cracks on my tooth on tv. Dr. Z is very honest. He is very efficient and does great work. They have an on site lab..they made my crown n I was out in about 1 hr... Ps. Carefull drinking a soda afterwards...mumb lips will drip on your t shirt...Ray read more
