He listened to my concerns, answered my questions genuinely, I have a fear of needles and specifically; dental injections, he was gentle, kind, talked through the whole process and explained everything to put me at ease. Theres more.. he's an educator and I would like to say im a good judge of character and my instincts tell me this man is 100% genuinely a good person. His staff were all so sweet and yhat tells you a lot in itself. He was also very thorough. I mean the list really could go on. Dont miss your opportunity. Then after the procedure my claim for payment was denied by insurance. I called the office and they told me that my insurance was not a participating group! Really? Why did they mislead me in the beginning that it would be covered and now tell me something different. It's not fun having a $1,480 bill that you did not expect! I take notes on conversations and have all this in writing. Very unprofessional the way they handled securing my business and then taking responsibly or helping in anyway about the bill. And for the actual procedure, the dentist had two pieces of his tool fall into the canal of the tooth and joked with the assistance about this never happened before and they hope to be able to get them out, all while I am speechless due to a rubber shield across my mouth. He did not explain what happened or reassure me that it would be ok. The end result was a three step/appointment procedure and I believe all turned out ok.

When It should have been done RIGHT the first time. Giving a one star because the office staff is extremely friendly. However, I dont need friends. I need my mouth fixed. I was referred to Dr. Strzalka by a coworker who spoke highly of him. Even though she loves him she had concerns about how many times she had to see him to fix one thing. She had even expressed to me that he couldn't find a tooth that was hurting her, after she pointed out which one she thought it was. She came back with pain in the same area and At that point she just told him to start digging. Sure enough, it was the one she said it was. That rubbed me wrong because as the dentist, a patient shouldn't be telling you how to do your job. You should know. I ignored all that because I was thrilled to see a new dentist. One who would take their time and be kind. Like my coworker said he was with her. However, my mouth is still not fine after MANY visits. I went in with two cavities and sensitivity with the metal fillings. I was told by Aspen Dental that I needed to get root canals in the two teeth and a few fillings in some others. I should have just let them do it. After Dr. Strzalka did my ONE root canal, which took 3 visits, I told him my tooth was still hurting and hurt bad to bite down. He told me to wait until it heals. Its been 3 months and I still CANNOT chew on that tooth. When I floss in between the teeth he "fixed" it is STILL very painful and SMELLY. Same as before. Because he didnt fix a thing! Anyway...He fits me for my crown and that was a rush order because I was leaving town. I was cool with that. But because he rushed, it didnt fit! He ended up having to file it down along with my actual tooth above it. Somehow, I had a HUGE open gash inside of my jaw. Of course I didn't feel it when it actually happened. But after my numbness went away it was so painful and sore. I could taste the blood nonstop. He could have at least told me he made a mistake and cut my cheek. But there was no acknowledgement or apology. ALSO, he worked and filed on my crown with bare hands. I watched him handle my crown with his bare hands, not wash it off and then proceed to place it in my mouth. He also did NOT change gloves often. I watched him scratch his arm with gloves on but then come right back to my mouth. He would leave the room and come back. Touch stuff in drawers and paperwork then come right back to my mouth like it was nothing. Another lady came in to look in my mouth at one point beacuse they needed a second opinion on something. I jerked back when she leaned too close and pointed in my mouth with NO mask OR gloves. She said with an attitude, "I'm not gonna touch you." Well you shouldn't be that close anyway! Then she didnt even introduce herself. I still dont know who she is. Kim, his assistant is very nice and pleasant. She had great conversation. But her cleaning is subpar. She barely wiped down any equipment. The spit suction cup has a liner in it. All she did in between patients was empty the liner and place a new one in. The actual handle and other suction equipment was not wiped down. Ive seen blood on the outside of the suction. The gun that that they use to inject the filling solution is not properly cleaned. The uv light gun is not properly cleaned. Ive seen both of them with blood residue or just dirt in general. When taking an xray, they go from touching the inside of your mouth and spit to touching the walls, xray switch and camera. The walls, xray switch and camera are not wiped down. The ONLY thing that I have seen them wipe down with cavi wipes is the bed and counter if visibly dirty. Im sorry but they are not clean. I should have just went with another dentist from the beginning. I couldn't switch in the middle because he kept putting clove in my tooth and placing a temporary cap on. It took extremely too long to do ONE root canal. If they are too busy of a place them they should hire more dentists. They SHOULD DEFINITELY hire a tech to THOROUGHLY clean between paitients. And take some aseptic workshops!

First of all, let me say all of the staff at Thomas and Dragonette were very relaxed, patient, and professional. I never felt rushed or that they were too busy to manage my care in the way that it should be. What a pleasant surprise to be able to book an appointment within a reasonable amount of time with a wonderful, caring, professional, dental hygienist. Unlike my previous dental car provider, my dental hygienist, at Thomas and Dragonette cleaned my teeth and I felt absolutely no pain or tinges the entire time. It's also very nice at the end of your appointment when your dentist walks in to the room, addresses you by name, shakes your hand, checks over your dental work, and you feel you're not just another number out the door. I'm completely glad that I have returned as a patient to Thomas and Dragonette.

One of them was with Dr. Carlo. I found his office by searching in Apple Maps. I typed in "dentist" and I looked within a few mile radius of my home. Dr. Carlo happens to be less than a mile from my home. Perfect!! His office was able to get me in for an appointment within a few days which was nice because some places I called were scheduling months out. Yikes. I can't wait that long. I was directed to their website and instructed to download, print, and fill out the forms needed for my first appointment (dental/general health history, patient financial responsibility agreements, etc). Done. The day before the appointment I received a call from the receptionist reminding me of the appointment and to make sure I'd been able to print the forms from the website. I appreciated the thoroughness of that. The day of my visit I arrived an hour early due to a misunderstanding on my part. Rather than go home and come back, I decided to wait there. No big deal. The waiting room was clean and welcoming. I liked the way it was decorated and the procedure for check-in was pleasant. Dr. Carlo saw me right away (once it was actually time for my appointment, lol) and he was very knowledgeable. He was kind and seemed nice, and I did leave feeling confident in his abilities. Also, price-wise he was actually on the lower end of all the estimates I received. That's a plus!! However, I do feel you should be aware that he is a very fast talker. I'm originally from the Los Angeles area so I talk pretty fast. But this guy puts me to shame LOL. In a way it made me feel like I was being rushed and I think that, in part at least, ultimately contributed to me not selecting him for the needed procedure. I had come here a couple of times for a cleaning and some x rays complaining of tooth pain. There was a specific doctor I had seen on this particular day for tooth pain. I don't remember her name and she didn't work much longer at this dental office after this incident happened. I went in for tooth pain on this particular day. When I got to the office, they did a visual check of the area where the tooth was that was in question. I couldn't pin point exactly which tooth but had an idea. It turns out, I was correct on which tooth was causing the pain. The technician took an x-ray and brought me back to the room to wait for the dentist to look at my x-ray. *I didn't see the x-ray that day! The dentist didn't ask or offer me to look and I didn't think to ask. The computer was behind my head. The dentist proceeded to tell me she didn't see anything on the x-ray and saw no visible signs of decay or anything unusual. She told me to come back in 2 WEEKS if the pain persisted or didn't get better. Welp, 2 DAYS later, I woke up with serious pain and swelling of the right side of my face! The side where the tooth was in question. I scanned around the left side of my mouth with my tongue to discover something that felt like a PLUMP BLUEBERRY! Oh, of course it's Saturday and I have school all day! I called the dentist and said I needed to be seen right away and explained the situation. They saw me in 30 min with a different dentist and she informed me I had a tooth abscess and they needed to drain it immediately. It was so tender, swollen and painful they could barley numb me to drain it! It took quite awhile and a lot of pain!! I asked why the previous dentist didn't catch the start of this 2 days earlier. She said it's not always possible to see the start of an abscess. We looked at the x-ray together and quickly discovered the tooth in question was not even in the x-ray that was taken!! The technician didn't get all the way to the back of my mouth and the tooth that has the abscess wasn't included in the x-ray! Why the first dentist didn't catch this is beyond me! I was livid! I said, well there's no way to know if it could've been caught because the tooth isn't even in the x-ray. They ended up waiving the emergency fee and charged me for the draining of the abscess and a couple other things. With that being said, I was charged some other fee or a higher fee than normal for this procedure because it was an emergency visit. Insert eye roll. Oh and insurance only covered part of it because it was an emergency visit. Insert another eye roll. Anyways, I kept coming to this dental office as long as the new dentist I saw would be my dentist. I had a root canal done, maybe 2. Don't judge me. She was great, but I could not stand the receptionists and BILLING! After almost every visit, i'd receive a bill in the mail saying I owed more money even though I paid what they said I owed at my appt. Please, get it togethe
