That one-hour drive has been 100% worth it ever since! They've handled several complex dental issues for me that other dentists struggled with--especially when it came to achieving outstanding cosmetic results. The work is always precise, natural-looking, and done with genuine care for both function and appearance. I've never felt rushed or like just another patient; they truly listen and tailor everything to what works best for me. The entire team is exceptional. Dr. Rosen is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and has a calm, reassuring manner that puts you at ease. Amanda and Jeanie are absolute standouts--warm, attentive, and so good at what they do. The front office staff is equally friendly and efficient; they make scheduling and check-ins a breeze. Despite the distance, I'll keep coming back because Wauwatosa Dental Arts simply offers the best dental experience out there. If you're looking for top-tier care, especially for cosmetic or challenging cases, this is the place. Highly recommend--5 stars aren't enough! Thanks to the whole team for taking such great care of me all these years!

I've had a new tech this year and sad to see the one I had no longer there. The new dental tech is very nice, more direct and less talkative but very professional. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them! Each time I've gone they've informed me of potential issues that may be coming. This is nice because other dentists I went to just told you what you needed and you didn't really have a say in the matter. You'd think a good dentist would see issues starting and let you know. The same should go for car mechanics. I recently had a horrible situation with one of those.

I did not intend on writing a review but at this point I'm so angry that I wasted my money on a sub par finish. When you spend this much, it should be perfect. My smile is nonexistent again.

I have had bad experiences in the past with dentists and was very worried I would feel judged and shamed for not going sooner, I decided to try this dentist for the first time about 2 weeks ago and they were all absolutely amazing. Everyone was very very friendly and didn't make me feel bad or uncomfortable for not seeing a dentist in a long time. I just went today and got a few fillings done and normally this would have been a very stress inducing situation for me but they made me feel very comfortable and walked me through everything they were doing. The dentist I had was Dr.Wu and he was absolutely great! So friendly and knowledgeable! I will definitely be recommending Pewaukee dental to all my friends and family! This has been the best dental experiences I have had, couldn't be happier! :))

He works with you to achieve what's best for you and your teeth. They give you all the information you need to make an informed decision. Leaving a yelp review for a dentist seems weird, but I see there are others so... My family has…read morebeen very happy with Elmbrook Family Dental for 20+ years, starting when Dr. Brunner was just a kid! I recently completed a tooth implant process that took several months (remove 40-year old crown, bone graft, wait for that to heal, implant post, wait for that to heal, implant!). The whole process was about as painless as it could possibly be. One of the things I like best about Elmbrook Family Dental is that they explain things clearly -- throughout the process Dr. Plecas explained each step, what the options were, what he thought the best option would be, and why. Knowing about the bone graft was especially important to me, and seeing what the part of the implant would be and how it all went together was cool. I was initially concerned because my son's wedding was coming up, and I didn't want to have a big hole in my mouth for pictures. Dr. Plecas discussed options with me -- the full process wouldn't be complete before the wedding. If I wanted, we could have gotten a temporary fake tooth there, but he thought I should wait and see how it looked. Once the tooth was removed I found that the space wasn't very noticeable at all. I'm very glad that I didn't spend the extra money on a temporary tooth! It feels like we know everyone there - we've been there for years, and at times we had six family members going. My older kids only stopped going there when they totally left the area; while they were in college out of state they still went to Elmbrook Family Dental, scheduling appointments around their breaks. One of the other things I like about Elmbrook Family Dental is that they keep up with processes, technology, and materials.

I had been seeing Dr. Brunner for about 13 years for general dentistry. Since his TMJ training, my…read moregeneral dentistry appointments have been awful. It's a hard sell for TMJ services with every appointment. Cost for TMJ services: Assessment $650 and treatment $5400-6500 (services weren't clarified) with payment required upfront. He says he uses a third-party to maximize insurance payout and after that is received, he would refund anything that insurance covers. When I asked what patients do when they can't afford this treatment, he became defensive and explained that he couldn't provide services for free (which I wouldn't expect). I found a local (TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Center) doctor who is excellent, fitted me with a night guard for under $200, and that has very clear patient costs for services after insurance, and charges much less overall.

Due to new insurance and healthcare the way it is, I had to find a new dentist for the first time…read morein 15 years. The past two years has been good but this review is around general check up and cleaning as I am pretty diligent with my teeth. I have seen Dr. Rao both times and she has been good and has taken the time to answer any questions. I see they provide restorative, corrective, implants, oral surgery and emergency services. Most dentists will refer you to an oral surgeon so that's a plus. Location is just off the Pewaukee Beach. They use one tech that I haven't had before which is a very pin point high pressure water for cleaning. Scheduling was easy as a new patient. I called for an opening, they sent me paper work to fill out prior and I was able to get in within 5 weeks. Each time for my appointment I arrive and taken back within a few minutes of my appointment. Very little waiting. I have not had any issues with billing and processing through insurance. I'd recommend ForwardDental and Dr. Rao.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Dentalcare of Pewaukee was bad enough that I…read morefeel other patients should be aware of what I experienced. After multiple visits, I completely lost confidence in this office. My concerns involved patient care, communication, dental work, treatment recommendations, and billing. My recent appointment was approximately four hours long and extremely painful and uncomfortable. I experienced significant gagging and choking and urgently needed to use the restroom. The dentist left the room multiple times to see other patients, but no one checked on me or asked whether I needed a break. When I finally asked to use the restroom, I was told to wait because the procedure was almost finished. I expected that would mean only a few minutes. More than 30 minutes passed before the procedure was finally completed. I found this extremely upsetting and felt that my basic needs and comfort were being ignored. As a senior citizen, I expected considerably more compassion and attention. I felt so unwell afterward that I was essentially bedridden for approximately two days. I also had problems with the dental work itself. A filling felt rough and unfinished. I asked for it to be corrected, but the problem was never resolved. Later, when my permanent crown was being placed, I was told that the crown was too small because the laboratory had made an error. I ultimately accepted it, but I was very disappointed that I was put in that situation. I felt coerced to accept a poor fitting crown by the dentist. The billing and insurance process was also extremely frustrating. I spent hours trying to resolve insurance issues involving missing X-rays and other required documentation, and similar problems occurred more than once. I also felt that recommendations for additional treatments by the hygienists were sometimes repetitive and overly aggressive rather than based on what I felt I actually needed. For me, this was not one isolated bad appointment. It was a pattern of experiences that left me feeling unheard, uncomfortable, and dissatisfied with the care I received. Patients should not have to fight for a basic restroom break during a four-hour procedure, repeatedly question the quality of dental work, or spend hours trying to resolve documentation and billing problems. I would not recommend Dentalcare of Pewaukee based on my experience. I have lost confidence in the office and will be seeking dental care elsewhere.
