I may have just found my new pet groomer for my doggies. I will admit, my doggies were in desperate need of some TLC. I have two Havanese dogs and grooming can be high maintenance. I went too long in between groom sessions and my dogs were unkept so I expected them to be shaved down. I've had to get them shaved before. In the future I won't let the time lapse as long as I did. I explained this to a groomer who said that he understood the assignment and I waited a couple days for his availability. He started on one of my dogs and in the middle of the groom session, he calls me and tells me to come pick up my dogs and that he couldn't do it and that he needed a 40 (surgical) blade to continue the grooming. He never touched my other dog. So I had to pick up my one 1/2 way shaven naked and butchered dog and my other untouched dog. I called around to find another groomer who would take my dogs. That's when I found Kathy. We set an appointment and the rest was history. As I had anticipated, both of my dogs were shaved down and Kathy had them smelling and looking great in no time! I'm very pleased with her professionalism and I highly recommend Smile Pet grooming to anyone. She did a fantastic job. Terrible experience ever ! my dog was traumatized i'm not sure what she have done to her during but she has completely shaved her down to the closest you can ever get to the skin, it took my dog months to grow her hair back not to mention the emotional distress that she was for a few days after getting back from this terrible groomer . I specifically asked not to shave the dog and to brush her out and even if she is still tangled to leave her Fur , when I got back there could not even recognize my dog. I went to this place a few times and never had a complaint always loved their service. Until today - I went in for my appointment with my miniature poodle like usual and they said they're under new management and that both the groomers are new. They asked me how short I wanted him cut I said not too short and I told them to specifically leave the ears long (they never usually cut his ears cuz that's how I like it). So 3 hours after I dropped him off they call me saying he's ready. When I picked him up, I was shocked. I didn't say anything I paid and left and then got home and my husband was in shock at how ugly our dog looked. This is the worst haircut I have ever seen on him. He was completely uneven - his face had a flat top and long hair on sides and one eye brow was bigger than the other and his ears were cut short. Also I told them not to cut him too short. I know he had a little bit of matted fur but I told them I didn't want him too short and they completely shaved him. He doesn't even look the same anymore. Honestly im horrified I can't believe they cut him like this - it looks like I could have done a way better job. Very disappointed I won't return to this place anymore even though they were my go-to. I included 2 pictures of what he looked like before. Update: my dog has been shaking since he came back from the groomers. He's completely shaved and maybe that's why he's shaking - cuz he's cold? Anyways, I'm even more disappointed today than I was yesterday when I picked him up from the groomers. He drank a whole bowl of water when he got back and this morning he threw up (he hasn't thrown up in over a year - his food has been unchanged). I don't know what they did to him but he's been down and sad and not himself at all not to mention how awful he looks read more

Love this place so far! I brought both my dogs here this month and both times have been great! I brought my Mochi my maltipoo at first just to check it out only because he's less fussy when it comes to grooming and when he came home happy I decided to schedule an appointment for my other dog Mocha who HATES grooming. She literally goes insane when you give her a bath so grooming her at home is very difficult. I picked up both my dogs and they looked so happy and not stressed at all! I've had a bad experience with a previous groomer that traumatized Mocha to the point where she would howl if you tried giving her a bath but she seemed relaxed and happy when we picked her up! Their prices are reasonable and it's so close by. We will definitely be back here again! :) UPDATE: 9/2018 Still super happy with this place! Reasonable pricing and the groomers know how to handle my pups! And did I mention they have a cool kennel area for the dogs to wait in after their grooming so they don't have to sit in cages?! How awesome is that?! I love this place and Leah who was the lady who arranged everything for us up front is the sweetest! My dog even ran up to her to get her attention before we left! After Pet grooming stores were allowed to open up again I made an appointment with Pet Smile right away. Taken my dog two times before since it's close to my place but definitely after what happened today I would never trust them with any of my dogs. First when my dog got home she immediately ran to the water bowl and almost finished a full bowl of water. When I asked if they put a bowl of water for them after they are done, she said yes but dogs don't really drink because they are nervous. Well my dog is almost 7 years old and all the 7 years I took her grooming never once she ran to the water bowl like that after grooming. Second thing I noticed was a very eye catching uneven hair on her back and her right arm. After checking her arm carefully I noticed an open cut under her elbow and when I sent the pic she said that's not a cut even though a piece of her own skin was sticking out. Instead of apologizing she kept on making excuses. Maybe let your groomers know that they shouldn't be rushing and being careless with our dogs instead. If you care about the care of your dog I don't suggest this place at all. Unprofessional and careless! read more

It took me a year to write this but I think everyone should know. I took my maltipoo who is very friendly and playful for the first time to this place . First I was greeted with a lady having food in her fingers and trying to find a napkin to clean . Next I filled out the form and I wanted the whole salon deal. They said they would call me when my dog was ready. After 2 hours they called me and I was happy thinking my dog was ready but noooo the lady called me to come and pick up my dog since according to her he was aggressive . Now keep in mind this is the first time anyone has said that . Even the veterinarian has said my dog is very friendly . I picked up my dog as soon as they called me and thinking that is not my dog. My dog is not aggressive . I got to the place and the lady just said "Yeah he was aggressive" but we did give him a bath which is $20." I paid and I just wanted to leave .She went to get my dog and as soon as I saw my dog he wasn't himself . He was very frightened and didn't want to move . I picked him up and went home. While driving I notice my dog shaking a lot . We got home and he wasn't his playful self. It seemed like they might have done something to him . He just wanted to sleep . He did not eat play or nothing . I should have taken him to the vet right there and then . After 5 hours it felt like if he was given something it was weening off.Little by little he was starting to be himself . I truly believe they did something . I was very patient for about six weeks now and now that I receive the response from the manager or Anyone who is responsible for this matters that happens to all their fur babies.I will be very honest about this place.First of all, very shady they act like they're close and They don't pick up their phone calls ,you have to leave messages and then they will return your call to book an appointment, not to mention they only accept cash yes only cash.Three times I had incidents with this place first two times I was patient and nice enough not to say anything ,but this time my dog is going through a lot and she has a lot of skin issues that caused by their hot tools and the cut, which they're not taking responsibility for it,and that's the worst part about them because if you take your dog and keep continue doing business with them they're fine but once it comes to their mistake and they have to take responsibility, they will mention that you sign a waiver,!! great what a great service you guys are providing ,what an amazing business you are. My dog is still going through a lot of treatments the bill is up to $800 now they were trying to offer us $75 for the grooming ,hey if it's not your fault why would you offer a $75 !!! Such a great price for excellent service. Rare to come by these days. I gave my dog a hair cut before coming in so I'd only be paying for a bath and the groomer ended up cleaning the hair up a bit for me (I am NO pro). The bandanas they put on all my three pups were adorable. My favorite part about this groomer is your dog isn't waiting in a metal cage before or after their service.
