He was able to do the surgery and remove both teeth with the speed I comfort I never experience before. It was just "top, top and pull" and the tooth was gone. Wow, it was amazing and Dr. Miner is amazing and absolutely the best! Today, I'm still doing great, no pain and no bleeding! I think Dr. Miner is the best oral surgeon in the San Diego area. Last week, my surgery for new teeth was quite the successful experience. Long overdue review! Dr. Do is an incredibly knowledgeable periodontist who truly cares for his…read morepatients, is so detail oriented in his work, and will patiently take the time to answer patient questions (I had a lot!). I am not local so flew into town to get my teeth evaluated + my gums grafted.....he proved to totally be worth the effort as the level of care he provided truly is exceptional. I've gotten multiple gum grafts previously from three other periodontists. Dr. Do's work not only provided the most coverage, but it held up the best and he was able to gain a teeny bit of height!! My previous understanding is that it was impossible to gain and maintain increased gum height. It was a lengthy procedure as Dr. Do took on the challenge of performing the graft on the lingual side (challenging angle to see in the first place) and I had scar tissue that made it harder to graft. During this time, Dr. Do was laser focused, maintained communication so I was aware of what he was working on, and checked in through out to ensure I was not in pain or didn't need a break. I cannot recommend Dr. Do enough and only wish I had someone like him for all my other medical needs!

I had all uppers taken out about 5 months ago as over a long time, extensive bridgework was failing. My regular Dentist is fine for the 'normal stuff,' and he had recommended the Oral Surgeon who did removal. Afterwards, neither gave me much confidence in their expertise when my gums did not seem to be healing. Quite frankly, the whole process was way more invasive and slow healing than I anticipated. After research, I made an appointment with Dr. Ho....he emailed me necessary medical history type, was quite amenable when I screwed that up a bit. Appointment was very solid, both he and his assistant were great. They actually listened while I conveyed my 'story.' He did a very comprehensive exam, took a large # of photos and took a lot of time in explaining his findings. He also gave me some small 'cleaning utensil' type brushes to help in daily brushing. He said the whole process can take a year before the gums, jaw etc. are fully functional....and I was progressing nicely. I came away feeling like all my questions and worries were addressed...that was very important. Also, and equally important, he (and his assistant) were quite diligent, took time, and both seem like very nice people. Highest Recommendation, No Doubt.

Later I called my insurance and found out they were out of network, I asked twice before my visit if my insurance would cover, I was misled to believe that it would and there would be no charges at the time of the visit. It extremely frustrating to be surprised with a bill after you are seen. What if I didn't have money to pay the visit? Be sure to ask if they are in network because the staff will lead you to believe they are.

I had not been to a dentist for over 40 years (please no judgments), and I thought I would need extensive peridental work. Dr. Yu started by saying that we needed to get aquainted since we had never met. He asked simple questions and assured me that most people's fears are far worse than the reality. The exam was gentle and Dr. Yu constantly reassured me that all was going well. He was thorough and explained each step. He took his time and did not rush. (At this point, I will say that you will probably wait past your appointment time, but when you are seen, you will receive all the time necessary.) As it turned out, I needed no peridental work. Dr. Yu and his staff recommended another dentist to do the root canal I would need since he did not specialize in that type of dentistry. I highly recommend Dr Yu.

Dr Raz spent so much time with me, assuring me that everything would be great and that I would not feel a thing, and she was 100% right. This ended up being such an easy experience. I am the biggest baby in the world when it comes to dental stuff. I get anxious over even having a small filling at the regular dentist. I had to have an extraction, bone grafting, bone augmentation, gum grafting, and then 2 dental implants. It ended up being 4 procedures, and they all were easy, comfortable, and for the first time in my life, I was relaxed in a dental chair!
