First of all, beautiful office and friendly staff! Free arcade game and kid area for waiting. Lots of cool little freebies around the office too. Secondly, what a nice doctor! Great bedside manner! I went to Dr. Larson for a 2nd consult after my previous dentist said that my molar fillings were so big that I needed an inlay and a crown. They were ready to charge me $2000+ for it. Dr. Kirk advised me against it and said he might able to save my molars and not get a crown. It was 4 hour long but he has a dental mouth prop with light to support my mouth, keep it open comfortably. I might have dozed off for a few minutes. He also let me take breaks as well as explained to me step by step what he was doing. He used ozone gas to sterilize my molars and that should give them a fighting chance long term. He's also the first dentist ever that did a perfect bite adjustment after a filling for me. I ate breakfast the next day and everything was fine, no pain. With previous dentists, I had to go back multiple times to adjust my bite because chewing caused me pain. When they could not adjust my bite 100%, they always suggested root canal. If I had listened, I would have 6 root canals done by now. Seriously, if your dentist suggest root canals, please go get 2nd opinion from Dr. Larson. I really appreciate Dr. Larson who is not eager to suggest big dental procedures like root canals or crowns just to make more money. He really loves his work and cares for his patients. So thankful I have found a forever dentist for me and cannot wait to bring the rest of my family to see Dr. Larson. read more

Dr. Kirk has been my family's dentist for over 15 years. He followed in his father's footsteps and now his son will be following in his dad's in serving his local community. The wait time is always only minutes and the office is warm and inviting with a playhouse/Pacman game for the kids and cold water/coffee/tea are always available. I have just visited this office for the first time for a semi-emergency and I cannot believe what a great experience it was. If all dentists ran their businesses like this, people would have no fear of visiting them. I was very skeptical and frankly fearful of a new dentist, but my fears quickly vanished. If you are looking for a dentist, you simply MUST go here. Let me give a bit of my dental history: My trusted previous dentist of many years retired and sold his practice to a new dentist just starting out. During all my time with the previous dentist I never needed any major work... mostly just a check up and cleaning twice a year, and my teeth looked great. However, once his successor took over it seemed that new dentist discovered some big new problem every time I visited. I've spent several thousand dollars in the last couple of years for services, treatments and non-ADA-approved devices that I now believe to have been unneccesary and possibly even damaging. I finally felt pretty stupid for going along with the regular clearing of my wallet about a year ago and I stopped treatment with that dentist. For the last couple of weeks I've had a dull ache in my lower teeth... then Saturday night a tooth broke. I needed a dentist, so I searched Yelp and found the wonderful reviews for this office. Next day I called them up, and they set up and appointment for the following morning. The "New Patient" forms are available on their website, so I was able to print them and fill them out at home, to save time when I arrived at the office. And what an office! My previous dentist had remodelled his place (using my money) with modern stainless steel and plastics, creating a cold and harsh feeling. THIS office is done in a California bungalow/antique/craftsman style that is calming, warm and inviting. I've never seen a professional office done so well. It's hard to put into words how nicely I was greeted, but I felt less like a patient off the street and more like a friend. The people here obviously like their jobs and it shows. I was given a walk-around tour where I saw the entire offices, and met several nice people busily working away. Although the other reviews here on Yelp talk about Dr Larson, my appointment was with Dr Hardy. I found her to be completely caring and interested in my well-being. She actually took the time to listen to me and asked questions relevant to my past and present. My immediate dental pain proved quite difficult to subdue with drugs, but she persisted and worked with several possible solutions until my jaw finally numbed up enough for her to do her work. She worked in my mouth for around 2.5 hours and let me tell you... she worked hard. After the immediate problem was fixed, Dr Hardy explained a couple of other areas of concern in my mouth. She gave my options clearly so that I could make proper choices. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have communication with health care professionals, and this doctor excells at that. Excellent balance of friendliness and professionalism. When I was done in the chair, I was taken up front to pay for the day's work, and discuss prices for future dentistry options. I was charged less for xrays here than at my previous dentist, and the entire visit for the day was about 1/3 less than what I was expecting. The price for a crown needed in the future is about what I expected. Overall, I believe the costs are as expected, customary and acceptable. If you are still reading this review, I hope you will consider visiting this office. I truly know how disappointing it is to have bad dental care, but I can tell you it doesn't have to be that way. If you don't have a regular dentist, or if you are presently seeing a dentist you don't trust... just call these nice people and go see them. Believe the hype. Everything that has been said about this place and Dr. Larson is true. I actually thought the true shining star was my dental hygienist, Branda though, more about that later. As promised, there was Keuring coffee, cookies, flavored chapstick, hdtv above my head, and a nice hot lotion treatment to compliment their services. They are very high-tech here. Which, I think, could be a good thing or a bad thing. Part of me likes the dental offices that do a quick once over for cavities, then let you go so you can keep pretending like you're doing a good enough job taking care of your teeth. Their fancy cameras and lasers won't leave you in the dark. This place definitely knows about service. The office staff seemed to know their patients well and try to make their patients comfortable. I felt very lucky to have Branda for my dental hygienist, who is well known for her work with Motel Kids in Orange County. Dr. Larson apparently gives these very needy and deserving kids free dental care as well. This is definitely a 5 star establishment. That is why I will not be going back. I do not want to know that much about my teeth. The lasers frighten me. I want a 3 star establishment. I want someone who's going to do the quick once over and tell me everything is good enough. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years and I was utterly terrified. Everyone here is so super nice! Dr. Larson and the hygienist were both very gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I had 4 fillings at once and spent the entire time watching a movie, which made the time go fast. It went better than I could've hoped. I don't have insurance so I was a bit worried about the price, but they were very upfront about what everything would cost before anything was done and allowed us to pay the balance over 3 months. read more

The reason I am telling you that part is I am secure in my badassness and can admit I used to have what I called Dentiphobia. Obviously I could have done a quick google search to find the real term but.. meh. Back to ze awesome review. Believe this: I didn't even feel the needle! The pretty doctor lady took about 4 whole minutes to get it in an I couldn't feel any discomfort let alone pain. Besides the lack o pain, o my gee so many sweet perks! They gave me a hot lotion hand treatment!! (purrr!) They let me watch Dr. Who!! They gave me BOMB fresh cookies!! They have PEAR flavored chapstick AND a futuristic coffee machine from some beautiful faraway coffee land that will change coffee forever. The Jesus of coffee if you will. OMG! I know I know! This is what I am telling you. Go call them right now! I didn't even tell you half the awesome shiznit that is there but seriously I actually floss regularly now and doesn't that say something? I visited this dentist based solely upon the Yelp recommendation. I am terrified of the dentist and thus I have procrastinated like so many others. I have a three hour appointment scheduled, which only added to my dread. I would have probably done anything to avoide this appointments, but it was time to be a grown up and just deal with it. This office is immaculant. The environment is welcoming and relaxing. The staff greet you and make you feel like you are important. Dr. Larson has a wonderful presence, and I felt at ease with him. Of course this visit wasn't pleasant, it is the dentist. However, this is the first time in my life I did not cry while in the chair. Dr. Larson never made me feel awkward or stupid and genuinely cared about my comfort. The other part about the dentist I have always hated is the billing staff. They always seem judgemental and a bit shady. Dr. Larson's staff are wonderful. They know what they are talking about. They did a great job of checking with my insurance and knew exactly what my insurace would and would not cover. Unfortunately, an error was made with my daughter's insurance, and Dr. Larson's team fixed it immediately and didn't even charge me! I could not believe that a dentist was not gouging me for money! Unheard of. This solidified for me that I have found my dental home. I am never going to look forward to going to the dentist. However, my days of paralyzing fear are over and hopefully that will enable me to be proactive versus retroactive with my dental care. Go see them. You will not regret it. read more

I liked this place a lot- pleasant surroundings in a beautiful office. You get to watch TV (with headphones) while you get your teeth cleaned! And they give you a hand softening treatment (so unexpected!). The staff and dentist were very nice. Some of the turnoffs - The dentist told me I had 4 cavities (not his fault) but because they charge so much for a teeth cleaning, my insurance did not cover the fillings so I would have had to pay $400 out of pocket. I thought that to be a bit much and I did not have the money. Also, there is a huge video game in the waiting room that is super noisy. You can't do any reading or anything else but be annoyed. It's ridiculous. I realize they are trying to appeal to kids but even if they turned the sound off of the video game, the waiting room would be more tolerable. Overall, I would go back once I had more money and some ear plugs for the waiting room. read more

When I heard about Hedrick Dentistry, I had not been to a dentist for 10 years....YIKES! I walked in, ready for pain..... I walked out in LOVE with this place! I go every 6 months for regular cleaning. I have been going for three years now, and I have NO complaints! Dr. Hedrick is professional. The hygienists are gentle, and very skilled at their job. The receptionist (Mercy) remembers your name, and is an absolute sweetheart. They are very aware of pain management. The office is modern and clean. Five stars, just for the level of professionalism alone! The only negative is they don't take all insurances. But if they take your insurance, CALL now...they are so great, they get booked fast! WOW! Definitely a believer of the hype! I was a little leary at first having a fear of dentists, but this place is awesome. The place is super clean, the atmosphere is very relaxed, but also professional. They have complimentary cookies (yes, at a dentist office, they will clean them anyway), coffee, and water bottles. I had Branda as my dental hygienist and she is great. Such a nice person. She made sure I was comfortable, and realized that the noises the instruments make made me uncomfortable so I got a headset to watch the T.V. while she worked on my teeth.
