My grand daughter tuned two and she had her first dental visit at Smiles of Naperville. The dental hygienist Pat was so wonderful. She sat in the lobby with us talking. When my grand daughter felt comfortable, we went in the back. Pat showed her everything and let her press the buttons. She pick out her tooth brush and this made my grand daughter super excited. After that anything Patty told her to do was OK. When leaving she was able to pick out a gift from prize box. I like that Pat showed respect to a child and took time to explained to her what was going to happen. She allowed the child to agree to the process. Following up on my call with the front office manager from yesterday: "How can we make it up to you?" "What can we offer so you take down this negative review?" I told them to treat their customers with respect and that I can update my review to what was discussed instead of removing it. The front office manager will now also handle billing, and I am told that the one who sent the letter will no longer be used. The manager wanted to make sure it doesn't reflect poorly on her, as she will be handling billing going forward and this negative experience should not be looked at as her fault. Instead of trying to remove negative comments / feedback, I suggest following up with a proper response here and show that you are committed to your clients and are willing to make (or have made) necessary changes. The one extra star is for them to have taken some action. But, it still reflects poorly on the owner / management on having a new employee bargain so her reputation is not affected. read more

Never again! Went for a dental checkup and cleaning and they force me to take xrays because the doctor wont examine without those (and also be cause they are covered by my insurance). Next they recommend me a deep cleaning- when all I am asking for is a regular annual cleaning, and they say they wont do a regular cleaning for me- why? I was very disappointed in the care I received from Smiles of Naperville. When I first went into the room to get my teeth cleaned, the hygienist wanted to talk about another business she was involved in and she let me know that she would use my patient information to send me information about her other work. How do you say no to the person who is going to be poking around in your mouth for the next hour without making things awkward? I felt like this was out of place and unprofessional. Once she was finished cleaning my teeth, she informed me that she would be bringing my mother into the room. I am over the age of 18, and you cannot bring anyone into the room without my consent. I felt that this was again very unprofessional. When the dentist came in, he looked at my teeth and spoke only to the hygienist. When he was finished examining my teeth, I had no idea of the extent to which I needed to have work done, and he seemed to have no interest in telling me. He simply told me to make another appointment and left the room. How can I make another appointment to have work done and not know how much work actually needs to be done? Steer clear of this dental practice. As others have reported, they upsell and make you endure unnecessary procedures for what can only be explained as financial gain. I dealt with one particularly nasty female dentist here and am happy to share her name in private message if you do find yourself stuck going here. First let me say I hate going to the dentist. On that note my experience here was AWESOME from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted like I had been coming here for years. I came for a consultation as I knew what I needed. Needed tooth pulled. Having no Dental Insurance I spoke with Ericka. This lady worked with me. When I came for the tooth to be removed my dentist was Joy Ko, let me tell you she's Awesome and with needing much dental work she's my choice. My tooth was pulled and I was finished before I knew it. Hardly moved my head when she was doing it. No pain that night or bleeding. I'm on my third day and still no real discomfort. I reviewed them before but my frustration continues. We have now moved and are being told my son needs braces again. He has an issue with his mouth and the new orthodontist needs his previous X-rays. Smiles of Naperville says their X-rays are not digital and they cannot send them. Although the X-rays are on the computer. My new orthodontist even called over there and had no luck getting the digitally or otherwise. He said he has never run into this type of reluctance to turn over records before. Stay clear of these people. My son has a serious issue, more serious than crooked teeth, and they won't turn over his records. read more

Terrible service. They made me wait 2 months to see a specialist b/c apparently only a "specialist" could resolve my issues. However, the day of the appointment, I arrived there and was told that I had no appointment to begin with!! I had MULTIPLE text messages from them confirming my appointment, which I emailed to them. But apparently that was not enough for them and simply laid blame with their "messaging" services. Not an apology, no attempts to make things right. Not very good business practice. We have been coming for last 2 years and already 3 orthodontist were changed . Always late in taking in. Since I paid off I am stuck with the office. I wish we had 1 orthodontist and not keep changing . Orthodontist comes only once a month now and if you can't make that day you have to wait for another day. I do not recommend for ortho read more

I don't quite get some of the bad reviews I've seen. I'm glad I did not let them turn me down. I've just started working with Smiles or Naperville and really like the whole team. Jose I believe was the name did a great job with my teeth cleaning and doctor Dawal (might got it wrong) a thorough exam and gave me very good advice. I have posted on this site 2x but it was taken down..so I will continue trying till it is left up. The dentist in this office rotate her chair quicker than a toll on the highway. Attention to detail is minimal and their office staff changes as well. They also called asking why the review. I told them to be honest with me when their care plan did not match treatment. They also refused to accept what my insurance covered in cleanings and wanted to charge for a deep cleaning which is painful and as the patient. I did not want. Very Disappointed. read more

I have been going there for a few years now and I am always greeted with a smile! They get me in and out quickly but do not rush me if I have questions. They offer additional services but are not pushy about them. I followed Dr Arora from another office, so you know I like them. My children feel comfortable there as well and that is important for me as a parent. I do think that the night guard they make is great but pretty expensive compared to over the counter options but they will give you all the pros and cons of each option. Thanks!! read more

I was very pleased of the service and care I received from Smilles of Naperville. I walked in and the room had a comfortable atmosphere. The dental assistant guided me into one of the rooms and the first thing I noticed was hoe clean it was!!! Obviously its something you would expect in a dental clinic but I felt that the place was a lot cleaner than some of the other clinics I've been to. The dentist who pulled my teeth was silent most of the time but he did his job pretty well. I'm not a big fan of needles but it was relatively painless when I got the shots to numb my mouth. 4 of my teeth were pulled and it didn't hurt a bit. I guess the anesthesia really helped but the dentist worked fast and I was out of there in no time. This clinic overall was pretty good, I would greatly consider this place to anyone looking for a decent check up, or when you need to get your premolars taken out. read more

After several visits , the dentist seems distracted and overworked, working on several patients at the same time. They inflate the treatments and mandate their own suggestions without accounting for what the patient wants.. I would not recommend this to anyone who chooses quality over quantity! read more

After only one visit to this practice, it became clear to me that these people were more like "used car salesmen", than anything else. I was told that I needed several crowns, and one filling. That seemed a like a lot of work, so I contacted my insurer, and was given a list of dentists in my area. I went to one of the dentists on the list, and was not only told, they could see NO cavity that needed filling, that the teeth that Smiles wanted to crown, did NOT need to have crowns installed on them! It looks like Dr. Pinky and her staff are more interested in filling their pockets with the hard earned money of the patient, than the patients well-being! To say they were trying to rip me off, is an understatement! Do yourself a favor, and seek dental care elsewhere. read more

The worst dentist ever! Tried to rip me off. They kept sending us $40 cleaning and consultation coupon and charged me $200 when we finally decided to check them out. The staff is horrible and so is the dentist. The staff kept trying to sell me the orbit mechanical toothbrush for $50 when I found the same thing on amazon for $11. They forced me to schedule an appointment for getting two fillings and my wisdom teeth removed. I went to two other dentists after who said that there is absolutely no need to get any of that done. To add to that, they persuade you into scheduling appointments/surgeries and say that you can always call later to change the time. They have a $175 cancellation fee! They take all your social security info too. I have canceled my appointment with them and recorded the phone call just to make sure they don't create any problems later. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputed and experienced dentist. read more

I would give zero stars if I had the option. This place will try to tell you your teeth are falling out then charge 3x more than average. Went for an "examination" they tried to tell me I had 7 cavities. Now granted I hadn't been in many years I still had hard time believing that for a guy who has had 1 cavity in 39 years. Here is the kicker they wanted to charge $3600.00 for cavities and a deep cleaning. I couldn't believe it, so I pretty much said thx but no thx. Fast forward 6 months after my brother urged me to go to his Dentist Dr. John Houlihan in Westchester, Il So I took his advice. After another examination turns out I needed the deep cleaning (which I knew) & had 3 baby cavities not 7 of which only 1 needed fixing and for a fraction of the price smiles wanted. Smiles wanted over $1200.00 for just the deep cleaning alone. All said and done I made it out of my new dentists office with one filling and a deep cleaning for under $1100 with zero dental coverage. That is less than 1/3 of what shady Smiles of Naperville was trying to bang me out of. Thank god I got a second opinion and shame on this practice for the false diagnosis. read more

Bad customer service. Been there for almost 10 years. A lot of turn over in their front desk staff. The new office manager is so mean. First, I didn't get a reminder for my appointment. Second, I got there like 10 min late and they said the hygienist had left and I should go home. First of all, I normally have to wait like 10 min there before my appointment. Second, they should have wait 15 min before assuming the patient won't come. In the past, they will call if I am on my way so they can wait. But somehow, today they just left. Additionally, they call me at 4 asking if I can come at 5 after I call them to ask if my appointment today or not since no reminder is sent. I told them I am coming at 6. What a waste of my time to leave work early and was told to go home. So it's okay for the patient to wait in the waiting room but the hygienist can't even wait for 10 min. I hope their dentists are aware of what kind of services that their staff provide to their patients. There a lot of dentist office around the corner. So time to move on. read more

They are horrible! I mean, both their charge and attitude are horrible! When I got my daughter's routine teeth cleaning done there, the dentist checked my daughter's teeth for 3 seconds by eyes(not X-ray), then said evreything is OK. Because of this they billed my insurance company $51 evaluation fee besides the cleaning charge. Definitely my insurance refused to pay for it. When I called them for this issue, they just treated me terriblely. They don't want to talk with you and they just want to grab your money. read more

With a revolving staff and technicians not to mention DR Ko who works on several patients at a time,this dentistry has allot to be desired. After numerous visits , I still have pain in a tooth that Dr Ko worked on for 2 hrs. After, she instructed that she could not help me, that I was to go to a surgeon. Absolutely, unacceptable. Had she been honest and referred me to the surgeon before starting her work on me, I would not be in pain today. Now I must wait till I can afford another surgery when this could have been taken care of back than, It also doesn't help having technicians who are being evaluated ,work on you. After my treatment, I requested a general cleaning using my dental insurance that covers an annual cleaning, They denied it, claiming I needed a DEEP cleaning,which is painful, along with a 3 month waiting period to see the hygienist. Again,unacceptable..I am the patient and I was not presented with another option other than their costly procedure. There is no consistency and I felt that billing was their main objective. Save your time and money and choose a dentist that prefers quality over quantity! read more
