My husband had Invisalign done here as well and it went very smoothly. They also give me a goody bag of toothbrush and floss every time. Used to be Bonaventura Dental, but I think ownership was passed on to other dentists as the other ones had retired? I'd been a customer at Bonaventura and got transitioned to Smiles-R-Us. (Admittedly, I like the original name better.) The quality of service is overall comparable, and the office hasn't really changed a whole lot, except that I'm usually sent to the smaller rooms instead of the open corner area that used to be where the regular cleanings and checkups were held, and that's nice. The dentists have been good, although my experience with them is not as consistent--sometimes it's really awesome, sometimes it's just okay, but for the most part they're very friendly and seem to do a decent job. Thankfully, none of them have been pushy about getting work done that may not actually need to be done, which is what really sold me on the previous set of dentists, so they are definitely carrying on the tradition of honest dentistry. Overall, pretty good, and I'll be coming back for my next checkup :) read more

I had gone here for check up and was diagnosed to have a bunch of cavities that had to be filled right away. Over the course of two sessions, I got all my cavities filled up along with deep cleaning of my gums. There was pain right after the procedure to which I was given ibuprofen and was told that the pain is normal and is the expectation. Fast forward two months, I still had the pain. The pain was caused due to TMJ, because my mouth was left open for too long during the procedure, according to an ENT specialist. Ever since the procedure, one of my teeth with deep filling has been extremely sensitive because the filling was very close to the nerve. I had a very bad experience with smiles-r-us that is affecting me even today(5 months later). read more

I have been patient of Dr karia since the time I have been in bay area i.e. 2010. I first visited her when i fell on my face loosing 2 front tooths.....yeah....it was bad!!! I was advised to go for an expensive cosmetic surgery by my original dentist which prompted me to take a second opinion. Here, I visited Dr Karia who understood the situation and came up with schedule and procedure to help me with my problems. It took 3-4 months to get them fixed and after few more months I was able to feel comfortable with the front crowns. The job done is commendable and it is hard for any person to believe that my front tooth are crowns. She has been our family dentist since then. I highly recommend her. read more

Even though I originally came to this clinic on an emergency situation for my father-in-law, I was really impressed with the professionalism, the attention to details and above all - the care with which Dr. Shah took care of the needs. He was visiting us and so, we were quite concerned about making sure we take care of his health while balancing his coverage and the overall cost. Dr. Shah is extremely knowledgeable and explained the details of all the procedures as well as what needs to be done immediately vs what can be put off for later. The reception folks worked with the insurance and were very clear on what'll be covered and the cost throughout the time. I have to first start off by saying Dr. Karia and her staff are amazing. I have been coming here since early 2017 and they are incredibly gentle and caring. I had an unrelated medical issue when I came here this past week that came out of no where and they were extremely attentive. They took very good care of me until my husband arrived. I have teeth which are prone to cavities and been to different experienced doctors and never had problems with fillings. But moving to bay area and going to Dr. Shah, since I got my filling almost 2 months ago, my tooth is still sensitive and I am not able to eat one side of my mouth and I am finding new doctor. Dr. Shah and her staff are amazing! They are open on Saturdays also which is super helpful for people who can't take work off easily.
