Andrew has been with them for the past five years because no other dentists in SoCal match their skill level. I've had my share of so-called "good" dentists in SoCal, and none come close to their standard of service. Both of them genuinely take the time to be meticulous and thorough, which I have high standards for and find hard to please. Super good spot. As an athlete I always found it hard to find the time to see a dentist. I came in 2-3 years ago with a terrible pain in my tooth and they helped me get that sorted as well as a cap on the open nerve. I would recommend as the dentist are incredible in explaining what you need and trying to look out. Another botched crown experience. This time it was seated incorrectly and left a ledge for food to get trapped. I raised it twice to them which they pacified with "that's just something you have to manage now". I went to two other dentists to check on this and they both confirmed the ledge that I suspected and indicated that the dental office is supposed to fix it since it has a 5yr guarantee but why would I go back to a team that clearly is not able to do the work nor take accountability. I've been going to Mint Dental care for around seven years now. Dr. Andrew and Dr. Michelle and the staff are always very kind, ask questions about my family and travel and always seem to remember things we talked about last time. They are very upfront and open about how my teeth are progressing and show me the previous visits pictures and compare them and show me what trends I've got going on and how I need to use preventative care to protect my teeth from grinding. TLDR; Two crowns botched, insurance company did investigation and returned me benefits. Mint Dental will not refund me unless I sign and NDA I have been experiencing severe gum inflammation and am unable to chew on with my left side as a result of of my latest experience. I got two crowns done by doctor Andrew on my upper left molars, 7/2022 and 8/2023 respectively. 10/2023 both crown simultaneously fell off. After getting them reattached within 24 hours, it no longer fit properly. There was a lot of adjustment done at the dental office but the tooth still felt very high when I bit down. I was in a lot of pain, and tried to reach out and explaining something felt off but I was brushed off. I sought a second opinion immediately elsewhere. They took images which show a very large visible gap between the crown and my gums. The new dentist advised me that this crown would need to be replaced ASAP. My insurance (Delta Dental) did an investigation and returned to me the dental benefits. I tried working this offline with Mint Dental for refund of copay. But they would only refund me if I sign an NDA. I feel it's unreasonable for them to prevent me from discussing my experience which is a necessary context for future healthcare providers. read more

You know when you go on a date and you meet this person and they seem perfect on the outside. However, as you get to know them more, they turn out to be shit. After being with this person, your mental health ended up being far worse than prior. Now, you need to shell out money to go see a therapist. Well, this is like my experience with Mint Dental Care, but replace the mental health part with my teeth. The office does look new from the outer appearance, but the expertise is unfortunately new. I don't want to go into details of my dental situation, but I will still try to give examples to illustrate my experience. I do see a decent amount of reviews of people having negative experiences with getting crowns from them, and I would like to add on top to those reviews as I also had a similar experience as well. My crown ended up causing unintended negative consequences in which it would take me at least a year and more money to fix them. I did tried addressing this with them and advocating for myself, but to no avail. I sought second opinion from other dental practices on these issues related to my crown, and they told me that these problems could've been easily avoided if they did this and that. Also, Mint recommended me a bunch of unnecessary procedures. I know they are unnecessary, because I also sought second opinion, and learned that they were unnecessary based on my circumstances, and could be further detrimental to my dental health, if I were to blindly follow their procedures. Overall, I don't want to go to a dental practice where I have to watch my back constantly and neither should you. At first, I saw no issues because of how new and clean the office was (oh wow, you can watch TV while getting your teeth cleaned!) and how friendly everyone seemed. However, after my crown situation, I lost my complete trust in them, and that's when I said, thank you next. Fool me once, shame on you, and you never fool me twice. I normally don't write negative reviews, but I want to voice out my experience, so that people do not make the same mistakes as me. read more

Love coming in and seeing the staff at Mint Dental! Dr. Andrew has been servicing my teeth for about 2.5 years and Dr. Michelle has serviced my boyfriend's teeth for about 3.5 years! We love the clean and extremely COVID safe office (temperature check upon arrival), especially the tv on the ceiling (with all video streaming sites) that makes visits go by fast! Dr. Andrew does a fantastic job explaining each procedure. He does it all! I've gotten 4 adult wisdom teeth extracted (at once) done by Dr. Andrew which was PAINLESS, with only numbing shots and no anesthesia. I had VERY minimal swelling to the point where my family didn't notice I got it done. He's never rushed any procedure and has always explained ALL my options before we proceed. When I complained about a dull pain in my mouth, Mint Dental found a time to squeeze me, and thankfully Dr. Andrew recognized right away that I needed a root canal. He put in a beautiful porcelain crown afterward and was extremely diligent in making sure that my bite was correct. Other procedures to highlight: he's replaced my silver fillings from decades ago with beautiful white fillings, deep cleanings, regular cleanings, and my favorite part of visiting Mint Dental.. they floss at the end of each procedure! After looking up reviews and photos of all the spots in the area (i absolutely need a clean, modern office with amenities and all that jazz!) i decided to give Mint a shot and super glad I did! This is comin from a guy that generally feels uneasy with dental appointments, dealing with insurance, worrying about the dentists bedside manner, etc The entire process was smooth: it was easy scheduling with front desk, checking in, getting situated, the teeth cleaning was comfortable/easy and Dr Michelle was really easy going, informative, and genuine (something i need to build trust and a long term relationship with a dentist). Dr. Andrew & Dr. Michelle are amazing dentist! Dr. Michelle is usually the one that does my routine cleaning and she is very thorough with everything she does. I also had the pleasure of being Dr. Andrew's patient when my wisdom tooth cracked; it was a fast and pleasant extraction procedure. There was no active bleeding after the procedure, I also had a comfortable healing process and I had to take minimal prescribed pain medication. Dr. Andrew also had a steady hand and I did not feel any pain at all. Following my procedure Dr. Michelle personally reached out and did a follow up on how I was feeling and if everything was okay. As for the office it is high tech and pretty much brand new . Everything is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is also very friendly and always helpful. They always recommend the best shows to watch while I am getting my teeth cleaned . The best part is that if you don't have dental insurance Dr. Andrew & Dr. Michelle can help you work around that and provide you with the best solutions . If you had to pick between which Dr. Andrew or Dr. michelle i guess I would say it boils down to preference. Dr. Andrew is really gentle and handles you with care but sometime when he talks to you I personally feel like someone pressed the paused button and Dr. Andrew is speaking 3x time slower and I am usually like what is happening . I have been scared of dentists and needles ever since I can remember and because of that, I'm embarrassed to say that the condition of my teeth are.. not that great.. I found Mint Dental through Yelp and surprisingly, a coworker of mine also referred them to me as well. I made my appointment pretty easily through their online system. It's been awhile since I've been to a dental office but WOW! I love how high tech everything is, down to the TV on their CEILING - I get to catch up on my Netflix shows while I have my teeth worked on :) Drs. After being away for college in Michigan for four years, I was really hesitant to go to the dentist. I knew I had neglected my teeth with the student college lifestyle. I also did not want to just go to any random office as my dentist from when I was younger had provided a great experience and I knew I couldn't settle for less. Luckily I found Dr. Michelle Nguyen. The experience was beyond what I had hoped for. 1. Waiting time: I did not have to wait minutes to hours in the waiting room with other people like other appts I've had at doctors offices. They were very quick to see me. It flowed from greeting me very kindly, to xrays, and then review treatment and then my cleaning. It all flowed so smoothly. No one seemed rushed, annoyed. Everyone was happy calm and pleasant. 2: Modern: why don't other offices offer Netflix? How is this not common. And the tv is above you so your not breaking your neck trying to see the movie. Also you get to pick what you watch! You don't have to see the same movie the child next to you or someone else wants. The office was clean , sleek, and everything looked new. 3. Treatment: after xrays and some pictures Dr. Michelle showed me on the screen what was going on with my teeth and what treatment she suggested. I never had this before. No one would show me xrays or take pictures. It was always a mystery. But here she shows you so you go more informed or on the same page about what's going on and what you need. I really appreciated that. Overall everyone was nice to me. I trusted the doctor knew what she was doing and she showed me clearly what I needed. I have never been to such a sleek modern office and I feel it's a standard all offices should have. I definitely can't wait to come back for my regular cleanings and rest of my treatment. This is honestly one of my favorite dental places to go to. Dr. Khoa Nguyen and Dr. Michelle are extremely attentive to my care and needs. When I worked on my Orthodontist to get Invisalign , they made sure to work with the scheduling and worked my orthodontist to get the best results possible for my teeth. They always explain all the best available options for me as a patient and they are always transparent about what options will best be fitted for me and why. I've switched dentists back and forth and even switched insurance providers, but I always make sure I can still work with them. I don't even live in the area, but I make sure that when I'm in town, I can work with them to get scheduling that will allow me to see them again! So after a while since this first review happened I tried to move my appointment to 2022 due to hesitancy of actually going to a place like this, as backup. I've been consistent with going to the dentist for the past 14 years (my entire adult life), and this office is by far the best I've experienced. Communication from them is very clear, and they are always flexible if I need to change an appointment. Top notch customer service! This is easily the best dental office that I've ever been too. The experience that Dr. Andrew and Dr. Michelle have provided is completely unmatched. The staff there is very welcoming and extremely accommodating, especially since I have a very busy work schedule that can change on a daily basis.
