Super skilled at what she does and super gentle with the kids. You definitely feel like you can trust her. My son had cavities that had to be filled, with laughing gas and it went very well. Finally, my youngest daughter had the most dental work done here after she experienced cavities and tooth decay due to drinking milk in bed as a baby and not brushing afterwards. She had to do the repair under general anesthesia at 3, which is super nerve-wrecking as a parent but under the care of Dr Nancy it went very well. We appreciate that everything is super kid friendly, from the coin kids get to retrieve a prize at the end of each visit, the tee shirt and picture with the dentist they get on their first visit, etc. We will keep coming here and also a special shoutout to all the dental assistants! I thought that was strange, my 8 yrs old never had cavity always have his regular check ups and last xray was done at previous dental office 6 months ago. Now coming to this new dental office, he didn't start with seeing the dentist to see maybe there is something questionable that needed xray to confirm but ordered xray to be done by the door as if it was getting a temperature?! Of course I denied it and was asked to sign a no xray waiver. I can't help questioning this clinic protocol on pediatric radiation protection, and I will speak to the floor manager over this issue.

I had excellent dental care growing up until I was about 14, but I also had a traumatic experience as a child when I flipped over my bike, knocked several teeth out, and had to be strapped into a chair while a dentist worked on them. That experience stayed with me. After my parents divorced, going to the dentist stopped being a priority, and despite brushing my teeth every day, I avoided dental visits for years. Eventually, I started having tooth pain and assumed I had one bad tooth. It turned out I needed two root canals and multiple fillings. To say I was terrified would be an understatement. One of the biggest fears about returning to the dentist after a long time is the feeling that you'll be judged. Dr. French completely erased that fear. She has been nothing but kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring from day one. She's the type of person who instantly makes you feel comfortable, and honestly, she's just an incredibly cool person. The hygienists and the rest of the staff are just as wonderful. Every single person in the office is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like they genuinely care about you. The office itself is beautiful and has such a calming atmosphere. Then there's the fear of pain. I can honestly say I experienced virtually none. Dr. French referred me to Dr. Baines at San Jose Endodontics for my root canals, and I couldn't have asked for a better referral. Both root canals were completely painless. They prescribed ibuprofen afterward, and I never even needed it. Back at Willow Glen Dental, I was also genuinely impressed by how much they've invested in technology. It's not just a beautiful office--it feels like they've made a real commitment to giving patients the best experience possible. After my root canals, they digitally scanned my teeth, designed my crowns, and milled them right there in the office. I took about an hour to an hour-and-a-half break, came back, and had both permanent crowns placed that same day. No temporary crowns. No waiting weeks. As someone who hadn't been to the dentist in years, I had no idea dentistry had come this far, and it made the entire process incredibly convenient. The same was true for my fillings and every other procedure I've had. Throughout every appointment, the team made sure I was comfortable, answered every question, and never rushed me. Yesterday I finished the restorative portion of my treatment plan after about a year and a half of care. Dr. French joked, "Last round!" and then laughed that I was probably tired of seeing them. I surprised myself with my response: "Honestly... I used to have really bad dental anxiety, and now I don't." And I truly meant it. That's one of the greatest gifts this office has given me. They didn't just fix my teeth--they completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist. I never thought I'd be someone who could walk into a dental appointment feeling relaxed, but that's exactly how I feel now. I've already recommended Willow Glen Dental and Dr. French to several friends, and I'll continue recommending them to anyone who asks. I was still charged nearly $150 out of pocket based on insurance claims. This is extremely dishonest, unethical, business practice. Please be careful and avoid this place.

She showed me the digital bite analysis and explained how my bite, limited clearance around the tooth, and wear on my canine could be contributing to excessive forces on my teeth. She referred me to an endodontist to evaluate the tooth, which ultimately allowed me to save it through root canal retreatment. I really appreciated that she didn't just treat the immediate problem but looked at the underlying factors that could potentially cause similar problems in the future. Dr. Raja also took the time to walk me through Invisalign using an actual digital before-and-after simulation. She explained how improving my bite could create additional clearance around the molar, potentially allow for a porcelain crown instead of metal, and at the same time address spacing and crowding that I've personally been unhappy with for years. What I appreciate most is how thoroughly she explains the why behind her recommendations. I never felt like I was simply being told what treatment to get. She showed me the information, answered all my questions, and gave me options so I could make an informed decision. The office has also been incredibly accommodating regarding the crown, and I really appreciate how they worked with me after the original crown failed. I'm now moving forward with Invisalign, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the treatment improves both my bite and my smile. I have an extreme gag reflex that often interferes with routine X-rays as well as some procedures. She stays patient, works with me, and finds ways to get the work done. Sometimes she will allow me to sit upright more, even though it makes her access to my mouth more challenging and forces her to stand instead of sit. I often need to have the suction placed differently to avoid the back of my tongue, but she still patiently tries to accommodate me, sometimes waiting until my gag reflex attack subsides a bit. The office also works with us with our dental insurance and tries to make things as easy for us as possible, even though the dental insurance companies are always trying to make things harder for patients and providers.
