    Fish tacos
    Jacqueline P.

It's not awful if you are not disabled but the last time that I was in there, I asked for a water before I was going to order an alcoholic beverage and the (kinda rude) bartender snidely directed me to the self serve water station that as a disabled person with limited use of my right hand, I absolutely could not navigate so I couldn't get my own water and the bartender refused to. I didn't get an alcoholic drink after that because I just really wanted my Smiley's experience to be over at that point but still needed lunch. Their fish tacos are my go to on the menu- they are consistently delicious and complemented well by the chips and salsa. The bartender was either nowhere to be found or repeatedly trying to clear the food that I was clearly still eating. Like he asked if he could take my chips and salsa (most of the plate was obviously still left) while I was actively chewing and couldn't respond. Even if I had been physically able to go get my own water, I wouldn't have been able to leave my food long enough to get a refill without the guy throwing away my food. I will be avoiding that particular bartender for the foreseeable future. And there is 1 disabled parking spot. That one spot is sometimes occupied by an umbrella or a table that they will move if you just let them know. It's kinda inaccessible but then so is Bolinas.

Great old school place! Loved watching the surfers roll in from our seat at the bar. Amazing bloody Mary's! We stayed the night at the main hotel lodging and the room was simple but clean and comfortable. The music from the bar was acoustic so we didn't hear it at all. Welcoming staff, pet friendly, very unique spot worth stopping by if you're in Bolinas!

Great vibes all around! Good food with a fun band playing in the backyard and a chip bar with dank salsas. My only qualm was there were some Yellowjackets outside and I have a huge irrational fear of bugs. The food was great and everyone was very friendly. Definitely a good place to stop after surfing or hanging in Bolinas!

    We loved the scrod!!!

Scrod was a 10 out of 10, atmosphere was dece and they didn't accept cash app (which a review said they did?). Overall it was solid but would recommend bringing a flask, and ordering heavy. Clientele left a little to be desired, but as they say, "when you're here you're family", so we managed. God bless.

This review is for music and drinks. It was a gorgeous day and live music was such a treat. The bar was incredibly crowded. I don't think this crowd was expected but here we all were. A thirsty bunch at that. We grabbed a spot outside, got a drink from the chaotic bar, and went back out to enjoy the music. It was such a treat. I wanted to get food but since the staff was overwhelmed, we decided to try a bite next time. This is a great local spot to check out if you're in the area.

After I posted my review the business went out of their way to try and correct the mistake. They refunded 1/2 my order and went over with their staff in terms of training. We spend a lot of time in Bolinas and I need to give props to tasty food. Their food is good quality. Please know there are no Bolinas restaurants with good prices so expect to pay more than usual for your meals if you decide to go out.

Awesome getaway with the one you love. We stayed in the capitan's quarters with the balcony and I was so impressed with how huge our room was how comfy and so so clean. The food down at the bar was awesome as well. The green salsa is a game changer! Can't wait to go back!!!

The newly reopened and remodeled Smiley's Saloon is a beauty! We spent the night in #1 and were impressed by how comfortable and clean the room was. The new bar looks great and hasn't lost any of its charm. And The Live Oaks put on a killer set outdoors. Can't wait to go back!

My review is based on my experience with them in the planning process. WIllow Camp is run and owned by Wendy DiPaolo who has been more than accommodating throughout putting my wedding plan together. She was recommended by several people, whenever I told someone I'm getting married in Stinson Beach they said, "You have to talk to Willow Camp." With so many recommendations I was sure she'd be the most expensive caterer in the area and would be out of my budget. Turns out she's very reasonable and is willing to work within a budget while still offering a lovely menu. We're also vegetarian which she handled beautifully when she crafted our menu offering foods that are substantial enough so that our guests won't miss having meat. Most of the other caterers who created menus for us didn't seem to be able to put together a vegetarian menu of substance, I don't want my guests to leave feeling hungry! I also like the fact that Willow Camp is a smaller operation and you deal directly with the owner. Too many caterers pass you through the ranks and you don't even know which person will be at your event. This is an abbreviated review and once my wedding actually happens I'll come back to update, in the meantime I would recommend Willow Camp to anyone.

Wendy DiPaolo is the owner and an expert at helping you shape your menu and work within your budget. She is very flexible with meeting your needs and really knows how to capture a wedding vision through food. We really wanted locally sourced food that showcased the North Coast area and they specialize here. Additional to our wonderful food and attentive and caring service, Wendy helped us source folks to help set up and break down our wedding. Suki, who works with Wendy was also invaluable. They anticipated needs and really pitched in to help us throw a wedding we will always remember. They also went above and beyond and we truly felt that they cared for our event like it was their own! Matt and Patrick were extremely friendly and the food was to die for! We celebrated our microwedding in Mill Valley and I have always selected new restaurants based on yelps top reviewed restaurants. I figured this would be the best way to go to select a catering option for an area we're not local to or able to try before in person. The reviews did not steer us wrong. We would love to book again after experiencing the food and stellar service. Appetizers: We ordered the heirloom tomato bruschetta which was one of my favorites! The tomatoes were fresh and every bite was memorable! The goat cheese croquettes were to die for and the braised pork shoulder had everyone coming back for more! Dinner: I'm not a huge kale person but we had an amazing kale Caesar salad that had me hoping I could recreate it at home. I honestly don't think there was any left over! It was accompanied by the grilled antipasto platter which complemented the lasagna dinner we had perfectly! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection! We had the classic bolognese lasagna and red wine braised boneless beef short ribs for our dinner option which were gone in the blink of an eye. Dessert: To top it off, we finished with the mini amaretto panna cotta and blackberry coulis. They were as delicious as they were aesthetically appealing!

We rented a home through VRBO and thought it would be a treat to have a catered meal from Epicurean Escape. The price was over $1000 but seemed well worth it and we paid the bill 10 days prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, if not unbelievably, we were alerted by VRBO the very next day that our contract was being cancelled as the rental house had just been purchased by a new owner. Thinking we might have to cancel the trip as VRBO might not have an alternative (they did not), we immediately contacted the caterer that we would have to cancel plans. This was 9 days prior to the planned dinner. The caterer then informed us that this was beyond their normal 10 day cancellation policy and there was nothing they could do other than a (hold your breath) 25% refund!! provide a 'credit' - a great idea for a group of 8 with most of us living thousands of miles away, or assisting us in relocating to a new venue. We eventually located a hotel where we could stay and proceeded with the trip - still very much disappointed with the caterer for not refunding our money with 9 days prior notice (along with forwarding them the note of cancellation from VRBO). With a $150 delivery fee charged by the caterer for delivery to our hotel, and no way for us to warm the food in our rooms, we anticipated the meal would arrive on serving trays with sterno heaters. But of course not.. The server who delivered the food was very nice and accommodating (we tipped them as well even though the paid contract already included an 18% gratuity fee). We began eating immediately, only to find all the food (fish and beef main courses) at room temperature. Perhaps everything would have tasted better had it been heated, but classifying the meal as 'mediocre' would be overly kind. Making matters worse (if that's possible), we have been promised a 'final' contract as three of the planned attendees could not attend, and the caterer agreed to 'adjust', only to never hear back from them almost 2 weeks later. Inflexible policy + less than thrilling meals = at least in my book, an experience worth avoiding at all costs. Caveat emptor.
