The first time I walked into the JaM Cellars tasting room my thought was how cool & eclectic the vibes & decor were. I've been here twice now. There first time I suggested coming here with 2 friends before we attended an event, I mean why only go to 1 event when you can enjoy a few other stops along the way, right? So we stopped here which happened to be the release of their magnum chardonnay. What a nice treat and since it was earlier in the morning there were only a few other people in the tasting room. The tasting room associate, and his name escapes me but it was his last day before moving, was very attentive, knowledgeable & friendly. Since there was 3 of us we each ordered a different flight so we could taste & share. We got the California, Napa & Devereux flights which were very delicious. My friends purchased the chardonnay "Butter" I purchased a sparkling wine that wasn't being poured but was for purchase. The name escapes me at the moment but it's soft pink in color & was told that it tasted like strawberries so that sold me! Have I tried this bottle of bubbles yet? Sadly no, and recently took it to friends place & still didn't get to try it. The next time I came here with a group of 8 friends after an event. We all purchased the special they had on GroupOn. We sat in a booth, but instead of just trying their wines we were able to order some items off a special menu from the restaurant next door, Tarla, to go along with our tasting. One of the wifey's favorite wines is the Butter Chardonnay. Since we were in town for her birthday we just had to drop by. We arrived on a Friday afternoon. The wine tasting room is located in a nice area in downtown Napa next to the city hall. Parking is accessible with street parking. This was our second time visiting the JaM Cellars tasting room. The music studio like influenced decor is cozy and inviting. I remember the first time we visited was on a Saturday afternoon. We did a tasting in the outdoor patio with old school RnB music blasting in the background. It was a cool nice vibe going on. Our second time around was more of a chill relaxing vibe due to it being on a Friday afternoon with less of a crowd. We sat inside on the lounge chairs and couch with the kids hanging as well. Our glasses of Butter Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon was quite satisfying. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the JaM Cellars tasting room. We will be back. read more

The place itself is cool looking and we went when it wasn't busy so we could sit anywhere. I did expect the vibes to be high energy but since they were not busy, it wasn't very fun. The music was really low volume and the service was quick and helpful, but not really fun and didn't click with our party. We ended up doing a bottle instead of the tasting and the bottle was pretty good. Overall, I would return if the place was busy, or I would find a more upbeat place and/or wines that are more up my alley, since I mainly came here for the vibes and tasty chardonnay, and only one expectation was met. read more

JaM was our last stop for our afternoon in Napa. We loved the musical atmosphere and, more importantly, we enjoyed our wine. We do prefer a tasting with all wines poured at the beginning, and JaM instead brings the glass (already poured) one at a time. Stoppped by for a quick drink after a day of wine tasting. Don't judge. This was the holiday season and they had a guy playing piano singing Christmas carols. Not sure if live music is the standard format here but his voice was cracking and wildly off key. I don't have room to talk given I'm not much of a singer myself but then again I keep my singalongs to the shower. It was a strange scene in a small intimate setting. I've been to jam cellars several times and i had a really good time. The wines were spectacular. I went on 14th April 2026. The front door was propped open making the place very cold. It was probably 60F in there. We asked the server to close it. She did. Then once we ordered wine she opened it again. We quickly left afterwards even tho we were going to have a few glasses. We are locals and had our first experience at JaM Cellars tasting room on First St. We had a super friendly and knowledgeable host named Jake who made the whole experience a real treat!! We are really disappointed to find out that JaM Cellars won't be at this year's BottleRock concert, for many years JaM Cellars was the main stage sponsor. I love the Butter Chardonnay , it's perfect with music! Luckily we live in Napa and will be attending some of the Fun events coming up at the tasting room. I absolutely loved this place! My friend and I were in Napa for a weekend trip and decided to head downtown for some live music to cap our night. We ended up here because it was recommended by the hotel, but also as soon as we got out of our Uber, the music from down the street attracted us anyways. The live singer was incredible and interacted with the crowd well. She took some requests while also playing her own setlist of classics, popular hits, and original music. In November 2018 my wife and I + friends visited JaM Cellars and enjoyed a few bottles of their delicious 2016 Cabernet. Fast forward to 2024, to celebrate a friend's birthday, my wife and I made the one hour and some change drive from Elk Grove to Downtown Napa...our first stop...JaM Cellars. As we walked through the doors, we were simultaneously greeted by the sounds of 90's R&B music and a friendly employee. As we took in the cozy environment, the employee (unfortunately I did not obtain her name) handed us menus and made pleasant small talk with our group. To get the party started, we enjoyed toasting a round of their rosé Jello shots with Pop Rocks as a topping...who would have thought that this would be such a delicious pairing! Afterwards we ordered snacks to enjoy before indulging in a bottle of wine. My wife and I shared an order of their delicious Greek Fries, which are a perfect serving size for prepping an empty stomach for delicious wine. We then ordered a bottle of their 2020 Cabernet, which did not disappoint! As we took slow sips of our wine and chatted amongst ourselves, a large group of individuals entered the tasting room and commanded use of the guitar. As they sat in a circle in the seating area near the entrance, they passed the guitar around the circle and did beautiful covers of pop songs...I'm all for an impromptu live performance! Every so often the employee would stop by our table and check in on us. Prior to closing out our tab, the employee thoughtfully presented the birthday girl with a glass of bubbles. I had a full itinerary for how I would spend my birthday in Napa Valley on NOv 8, and the first tasting after breakfast was at JaM Cellars. Never having been to Napa, we didn't know what to expect. As soon as we walked in, Jackson immediately greeted my friends and me (all visiting from different cities), and we chose a spot next to a window because the weather was so beautiful. It was equally as nice inside (different from other wineries I had been to on the East Coast. After we sat, Jackson provided tasting menus and explained the difference between each one. I could not have chosen a better first wine tasting to kick off my birthday than JaM Cellars. While we decided on which wine tasting to try, I bought a round of jello shots. None of us had ever had pop rocks in jello shots before, but they were yummy. I cannot remember which wine tasting I had because I let Jackson pick for me because I wanted to try something new and not my normal red wine tasting I always choose - I know they were all white wines I tasted though. Jackson picked some really great wines (thoroughly providing descriptions and history for each). Before leaving, Jackson provided other wineries that were must-visits while in Napa. It was empty since the live music hadn't started yet but I'm sure it would have gotten busier. We opted to share the Napa Exclusive tasting ($50) between the two of us which they kindly allowed and brought out two wines at once for us to compare and at the end let us have a second pour of any wines we like as well! They have a Napa exclusive Butter Chardonnay too which is different from the bright yellow bottle you're used to seeing in the grocery store. There's a small food menu too. The Greek fries are more like potato wedges but good nonetheless. I can't remember our server's name but he was really kind and knowledgeable and super friendly! My only minus star was our server told us that any bottle we bought would be $20 off but when the bill came there was no discount and I actually didn't realize it until we had left!
