There were mistakes made with billing from the start, but even worse, I called bc I had part of a crown that cracked on my tooth. They said the soonest he could see me was 4 WEEKS later. Despite me calling to say I had started to have pain and I thought something was wrong, they wouldn't give me an earlier appointment. Then they cancelled on me and it took MONTHS for a reschedule, despite all the info I had given about my situation. THEN THEY CANCELLED on me AGAIN the day of the rescheduled appointment after I had already taken off work and they didn't tell me about it until I was at the office. I can't make this up. THIS COST ME $4K in a root canal and crown (even with insurance) at another dentist. I am truly beyond frustrated and upset about the entire experience. They never apologized or addressed the issue afterwards. They don't care about the well-being and needs of their patients enough to pay attention to serious requests. I heard that the reason they can't keep enough hygienists around (and thus don't have enough appointment slots) is because they refuse to get rid of long standing office staff who are not competent, and people don't want to work in that environment. I genuinely doubt my urgent requests about my tooth were even brought up to Michna or anyone else there. I never take the time to write reviews, but this behavior was egregious and I want to warn others.

Dr. Michna doesn't push unnecessary procedures and one feels a great deal of trust in his skill. He has done a few filling replacements and one crown over the last 6 years. Each time he showed me exactly where the problem was and why a procedure was needed. He is as good if not better than the Dental practice he purchased several years ago. I have always felt the hygienists have been great. and Dr. Kazak is always quick but personable. As others have said, I never felt like I was being sold on any procedures especially for stuff that I did not need. I do appreciate the complimentary fluroide solution that they apply after the cleaning to ensure tooth health. They also have been super accommodating for fitting me in even with a last minute change in my schedule. When you go for the first time, it may be a hard to find as it is a little tucked away and shares a parking lot with a church. However, I have not had any issues parking in front to the office. Overall, I would recommend checking out Ross Valley Dental if you are looking for a dentist in the Marin area.

Bridget seemed to have a weird change in appearance when I was in the office the beginning of the year. Bridget a couple of years ago was very mean to me and when filling out an invoice got the year wrong. She did fix it when pointed out to her. There is some bait and switch game going on with the appointments available online for booking. Two appointments I booked online were cancelled immediately and one when I called the office they gave some clearly a lie for the reason. For my recent appointment that was cancelled, I booked another online for an evening hygienist that was not Sam (Sam has a bad attitude problem) and I called the morning of the appointment and my hygienist appointment with the part-time hygienist was not available. When I told Bridget (office girl) I will be writing a review she offered me an appointment that next day, but that is not okay. When Lindsay and Bridget (office people) got me very angry two years ago, I wrote a review. And Dr. Kantor left a voice mail message and asked me to delete it and asked what I wanted in return for deleting it. I did delete it then, but it did not seem right to accept his offer for something in return, and I did not ask for anything in return. However, I will not be deleting this review. I give Dr. Kantor 4 stars and hygienist Sam 3 stars. Sam can do the job but seems to have severe attitude issues. The office seems to have a policy the first time you are seen or the first time with a hygienist to get good service but after the first time the service declines. And the office has a high turnover. If you book online, be aware of appointments listed that aren't available and complain about bad office staff. And please read other 1-, 2-, and 3-star reviews.

To my surprise, I received a call from Dr. Yee's office early the next morning. They got me in immediately and fixed my bridge perfectly. I truly felt cared for throughout the entire experience. Dr Yee and Jennifer were kind, responsive, and professional. I'm very grateful for how quickly they helped me, especially on a day when the office was supposed to be closed. Then the doctor came in, and the entire experience changed. He was very unprofessional and spoke to me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. He didn't even examine my teeth before asking questions and saying he didn't want to be involved because I had previously seen another dentist. I told him I don't have a regular dentist in the U.S., but it didn't seem to matter. The conversation felt awkward and childish rather than professional. Waiting area was dirty I've never had a dentist act this way. I left feeling confused and unwelcome. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.
