Ray is very professional and kind, and I usually call first (I recommend to call first), so no waiting time, very convenient. Hopefully he will keep his business for many more years. I just got here and already had a bad experience. When I asked how long it would take, the man responded with an attitude, which felt unnecessary. Then, when I tried to throw something away (thinking it was their office trash), he raised his voice and told me to use the gas station trash instead. There's also only a small table outside to wait, which isn't comfortable at all--especially in the heat. I really don't understand this kind of customer service. It makes people feel unwelcome. Been coming to Smog Wiser for years and owe it a review. The owner is extremely professional and keeps things moving quickly. I've never made an appointment and am always quickly in and out. He also has an area where you can sit in the shade while your car is being inspected. You may have to wait on a really busy day, but the owner is very clear about the order and gives an accurate wait time. I've had to wait for more than one other car maybe once in the 10 plus years I've been coming here. If you do have to wait, you're in luck! There are plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. in walking distance to kill a little time. Value-wise it runs pretty standard pricing. Completely fair and a good value. For something I have to do every other year, this place is quick, professional at a fair price. I never have to think about it, I just return here. read more

Seriously - Smog Wiser is the Best, seriously. The Worker Guy Dude Was courteous, professional and cool. A rare diamond in the rough. Nobody needs to be nice anymore because of the internet - but this worker guy dude was nice - even to my two kids(who aren't that "conventional" - see pic). This worker guy dude might be the owner person but I didn't want to call him the owner person in case he wasn't and then I accidently give the owner person good credit when It was actually the worker guy dude. Seriously though - Everybody needs to Smog (except really old big delivery trucks driving around town am I right?!?!?!? - smells like the 1800's in Los Angeles and people need to stop owning so many trucks and cars). There is a little outdoor waiting area (see picture) and it fit me and my two kids perfectly (see picture) and we had pizza while we waited (we brought fyi but zoom into picture if you want to see what brand it was). The Umbrella (see picture) is one of those kinds that blocks the sun - so it was great. I have a cheap umbrella at home and sometimes it is still too hot for me and the kids to hang out under (see picture - my kids are whiter than most redheads). We barely had enough time to eat because it was so fast (see picture). I will only come here from now on. I have 6 cars so I need to Smog often. Thank you.
