I got the smoked turkey with green beans and the burnt in beans. They really are one of my favorite side dishes to eat. The two guys carving meat were funny, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the most excellent BBQ Sundae that consisted of loaded mashed potatos and Mexicican style street corn topped with delicious chopped brisket and jalepeno cheddar sausage. The slicer graciously allowed me to substitute the black pepper sausage for the jalepeno cheddar and the combination was absolute dynamite, ya hear????? The service was kind and enthusiastic just like at many of the other reputable Texas BBQ joints. Barbecue folks=Good folks. My husband just had a side of the cowboy beans to enjoy for lunch. I thought the beans were excellent. I noticed too that they also have burnt end beans that are more like a baked bean dish. We chose a two meat brisket platter with brisket burnt ends, sliced brisket, the cowboy beans and Mexican street corn to take home. We paid a premium because our platter was essentially a double brisket platter. No problemo! Just give us that brisket goodness! We thought everything was fantastic and would definitely recommend as a great place in North Richland Hills for barbecue. I appreciate the patriotic theme of the restaurant and simply adore the name.

Just to the right of the sign were two Level 2 chargers. We each ordered two 2 meat plates, which included two sides. When we got home and opened the to-go boxes, we realized we had WAY over-ordered. We had enough for two meals for each of us! We had chicken and pork ribs, mac & cheese and flat green beans. It was very tasty with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. I spoke with the owner and thanked him for supporting EVs, to which he replied, "How could I not? It's what's coming. How could I not get on board?" He mentioned that quite a few of his customers found him on Plugshare.com and stop by regularly for a meal and charge. I had to Google "So mote it be."

I genuinely want this place to succeed, which is why I still give it chances every so often. Today (Feb 24, 2026) I stopped in with my daughter just to pick up sides. Many menu items were unavailable (we were told no greens), so we ordered cabbage, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. The total was about $15 and I paid $20 and told him to keep the change as a tip. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. The cabbage was essentially plain steamed cabbage -- very underseasoned and more like cafeteria vegetables than braised southern cabbage. I actually had to go home and re-season and cook it further just to make it edible. The sweet potatoes tasted good, but they had a noticeable smoky/BBQ odor, like they had absorbed grease or smoke from the kitchen environment. The cornbread itself was very good, but the portion was extremely small -- basically a sample-sized piece. Considering I tipped $5 on a small order, it would have been nice to include an additional piece or two. The biggest ongoing issue, though, is consistency. Over the years the restaurant is frequently out of items and the quality varies visit to visit. The dining/kitchen area is also visibly worn and could really benefit from a deep clean and upkeep. I truly say this respectfully because I remember how good this place used to be. The potential is still there, but right now the food and overall experience don't match the prices being charged.

I hit the drive-thru and the service was excellent. I could even understand through the speakers! Nice displays of menus and specials. Looks like they even have a Thanksgiving package (hint hint). Lots of drive-thru ambiance. I ordered the 2-meat plate (brisket and sausage), and instead of 2-sides I replaced with a loaded baked potato. When asked which sauce, my eye started twitching. I dont like pouring sauce on meat after the fact...I prefer it baked and baked in. But...I told them id take their spicy BBQ sauce on the side. So...once I got home, I tore into the potato. It was HUGE so I cut it in half. The meat did not have sauce baked and baked in, but it was good. Really good. And then I went crazy. I tasted the spicy BBQ sauce. Very good. And went crazier and poured it over the brisket, sausage, and baked potato. There was a lot of food on the plate, so I saved half for leftovers. It was really really good and I'll definitely be going back.

I had the squash and my wife had a baked potato. Both of our sides were just barely luke warm. Disappointing. The steak tasted good but also "barely" lukewarm warm. Even when it tastes good the temperature of a good steak is paramount to your experience. Not quite sure if we are willing to try again.

It definitely felt like a family restaurant, I'm sure there are people who come regularly. We loved having all the meat cuts available, rather than paying extra for premium cuts. I think I'm used to a heavier coating of sugar. The shrimp mix and marinated mushrooms in the salad bar provided the perfect palate cleansers between the heavy meats. We finished off the night by splitting a slice of tres leches cake that was divine! I'd definitely recommend that if you want a little something sweet

Seating is a little cramped between tables, salad bar is still limited for vegetarians. I get that it's a steakhouse but it would be nice to have more vegetarian options where it'd be worth it for any vegetarian to go. Maybe add smoked salmon to the salad bar with a few other vegetarian friendly options & more fruit choices? Their pork tenderloin with parmesan was also dry, that was the consensus amongst our entire party. Lobster bisque was a bit thin. Service is amazing, everyone there was so polite & attentive. We were frequently checked upon, our glasses were never halfway empty, & we never had a need for anything because of it. From the salad bar, the chicken salad & pasta were excellent. Mashed potatoes & Brazilian bread were also good. Aside from the pork tenderloin, the remaining cuts of meat were well worth it. The waiters were generous with portions, often asking if we needed more than one piece at a time. Get the chimichurri & the horseradish sauces to compliment some of the meat. We really liked how nothing was overly salty, often we've had that issue at other places but not here. I would go here for two things alone... the cajun picanha & the grilled pineapple. Hands down, the best picanha I've ever had! The grilled pineapple, absolute perfection. Add them to your list, this is a must. I didn't even get any photos at the table because we were too busy enjoying our dinner.
