We had never been here before, so when asking what they recommended, we got a little taste of the burnt ends! My god it was good! Got the Brisket sandwich and burnt ends sandwich! With the habanero slaw! It was soooo good!

    Brisket and burnt ends.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was late taking my photo and ate majority of my food. I will definitely find this food truck again. The service was amazing. I didn't get the gentleman's name helping me, but he was definitely amazing. It was at a food truck so the atmosphere was a bit noisy.

Absolutely delicious food. The burnt ends are phenomenal. The brisket is perfect. They really know what they're doing. The owners are extremely nice and are even willing to let you try before you buy. Originally I wasn't even gonna eat here but the owner let me try his brisket. I just about died on the scene because of how much flavor was packed in a single bite. I love this place and come here every friday. It's my local favorite.

We recommend ordering a bit of everything or "the whole right side" of the menu

First time visiting tonight - everything was FANTASTIC! We ordered a bit of everything and each bite was better than the last. The burnt ends were delicious bits of juicy meat candy, the brisket was flavorful and tender, and the habanero slaw was fresh with just the right amount of meat. This is a must stop for anyone in the mood for good eats and great company!

So I am a little disappointed in them today. First time I ordered a small side of beans and well the name is certainly correct. Small!! I paid $2 for a spoonful of beens. The complimentary sauce cup is nearly as large as my $2. Side. I mean look at the spoon compared to the been cup. Its literally 2 spoonfuls. I suggest changing the side to a bit larger dish and charging $3 or dropping the price on this size cup. The beens, watery and not good, the first time I ate them amazing this time I took one bite and throwing them in trash. No flavor just water and beens. Opened my sauce cup to discover a half cup of very old sauce that smells fermented. Very disappointed. Ribs were good but not sure if I'm going to return now.

I have passed this new outdoor food court style BBQ joint several times over the past few weeks and have been really wanting to stop in and give it a try. I finally got the opportunity this evening. Waiting at the window to order was a small line of small town folk hunger-ly anticipating a Texas BBQ treat. After a short time a member of the staff popped open the trailer door and started pulling some meat off the industrial stainless steal smoker with what looked like all the bells and whistles. Very nice!!! So, I took it upon myself to spark up a conversation to provide myself a look into the smoke factory. I mentioned to my dinner partner that it looked like a large batch of burnt ends and the gentleman promptly offered me a piece to sample. Nice array of sugar and spices on meat bits. the piece i had unfortunately was basically a "burnt" fat chunk but the flavor was on point and it was free, the best kind of BBQ :). After a short wait i was able to proceed to the counter window and I ordered a full tray. Sliced brisket off the point, turkey, jalapeno sausage, regular sausage, half rack of pork ribs and a side of beans. Todd Lorch the proprietor offered e a sample of his cole slaw. Now normally, I don't eat cole slaw, just not my thing so I will do my best to be impartial. What am I saying? It was delicious, well for cole slaw. Todd pulls his slaw recipe from a foundation of Carolina style preparation. Well done Todd. I received all my food bits well packaged for my travel home and all the while of Todd slicing my meal he provided a pleasant banter of BBQ discussion and you can really feel that he loves this art and wants to provide a good quality meal. Now lets discuss the meal. I always like to start with my side and then work my way to my favorite, RIBS :). The beans reminded me of western movie of trail riders settling down on a pot slow cooked to fill their hungry bellies. Full of chunks of brisket sausage and a sharp hit of pepper to finish on your pallet. I would say a highlight of the meal. The jalapeno sausage had the just right amount of heat and the the flavors were pleasant. I personally prefer a more course textured sausage but like i said the flavor was good. Not overly greasy either which can happen sometimes. Turkey was tender and juicy, well smoked to make sure the poultry performed and was not overshadowed by smoke. What can I say about the ribs, well, a little disappointed. They had great flavor, slight sweetness with a hint of vinegar and spice mellowed by a butter but, they were not done. I would guess to get tender they most likely needed another hour or maybe two. All Pit masters have a day when they just have to get the meat out and serve it. I happened upon this day. Now, for the grand finally and what I think was a cherry on top of the meal, the Brisket. Absolutely some of the best my lips have had the pleasure of holding to my tongue. All the regular adjectives can be used but I will just say great job!!!!! All in all, I enjoyed my visit and will return with friends. One small recommendation Todd, put up a radio sir, its dead quite standing in line :)

Pretty solid brisket. Sides ore just okay. The mac and cheese is straight from the box. Price is decent.

My wife and I just had lunch there today. I decided to try the chicken fried steak, smoked jalapeño gravy, pickled chiles, au gratin potatoes and my wife had the brisket stuffed piquillo peppers, bone broth, cotija. First, the $21 chicken fried steak: It was SEVERELY OVERCOOKED or had been under a heat lamp since Bush was President. (No, not THAT Bush, his dad.) The meat was a rock and the breaded crust was hard, shattering when I cut into it, revealing even more disappointment within. The au gratin potatoes had a vague, disconcerting coffee aftertaste I wasn't expecting (and HATED). A golf course restaurant (Raven's Grille) in Euless has a FAR superior chicken fried steak at a MUCH lower price. I can't believe Woodshed Smokehouse is owned by a chef. Seriously. My wife's lunch was three tiny pieces of brisket (again, severely overcooked) wrapped in piquillo peppers. Although relatively inexpensive at $12, it wasn't even worth that. A "smokehouse" that doesn't seem to understand cooking meat. Odd... and not very Texan at all.

Oh my goodness, they were ferocious cartoons but they were adorable and I loved the aesthetic. You could tell this place was good, because the bar was hounded by locals and people from town just stopping by to eat. Everyone seemed to know each other and was happy. Service was really quick for a place that was packed and squished, with people still coming in. I imagine this is a daily popular spot. No one on staff seemed overwhelmed or rude even when being slammed. I hate that it's in Forth Worth, because the sides, the meats, everything was perfection. They even had cane sugar soda. Like we need a Panther City BBQ in Houston.
