Out of Sight. Chopped BBQ and 2 sides.
    Phillip D.

Our first visit at the relocation. The traffic has picked from the previous location. In a more affluent neighborhood. The prices were inflated from our last visit a few months ago. Service was very good, food quality was high. We had the "SoulBowl" and the "Out of Sight". Lots of condiments and self serve ice cream for dessert. Still on our list for the best BBQ.

Still amazing! Ate here yesterday for lunch and nothing has changed my mind! Excellent food and service and a calm, relaxing atmosphere with some classic 90's country music going! If you haven't been here, get after it! Try the cabbage and the creamed corn for sides! So good! Enjoy and God bless ya...

Middle of the road barbecue at premium prices. Order from a line and carry your plate to table. Normal for Texas barbecue. The restaurant was clean, and the friendly staff was quick to clear and clean tables. The barbecue is average and unremarkable. If this restaurant is the only barbecue around, it'll be fine. With that said, there's much, much better options fairly close by. And, for the same price definitely go elsewhere. The ambiance is simple barbecue style with floors that imitation wood planks and walls with the obligatory branding. Nothing interesting here. It was quite while I was there. Some tables can accommodate 8, and there are plenty of booths and 4 seat tables. It's very clean, almost to a fault. There's something to be said for a grungy, smokey barbecue joint. The barbecue you expect from those places is generally next level. Overall, it's okay barbecue, but, you can easily find much better.

Another good dinner here! Service was friendly and fast! They seem to be consistent in this.

    Double barrel backed potatoe.

Service, dump the staff and hire people that are friendly. The MSN working the drive up was very rude. We waited over 20 min for our order. No explanation or apology was given for the wait.

Jimmy was awesome. He let me sample the fried cabbage, he gave my dog a pup cup of beef which she devoured. The brisket was delicious!

As a Texan, I'm almost embarrassed to admit I prefer pulled pork over brisket, but both were really good. Hot links were actually spicy. I was surprised. Turkey was really good as well. Not a bad side with our order either. Beans, Cole slaw, Green Beans and Broccoli & Cheese Casserole. All, very good. I ordered the most excellent BBQ Sundae that consisted of loaded mashed potatos and Mexicican style street corn topped with delicious chopped brisket and jalepeno cheddar sausage. The slicer graciously allowed me to substitute the black pepper sausage for the jalepeno cheddar and the combination was absolute dynamite, ya hear????? The service was kind and enthusiastic just like at many of the other reputable Texas BBQ joints. Barbecue folks=Good folks. My husband just had a side of the cowboy beans to enjoy for lunch. I thought the beans were excellent. I noticed too that they also have burnt end beans that are more like a baked bean dish. We chose a two meat brisket platter with brisket burnt ends, sliced brisket, the cowboy beans and Mexican street corn to take home. We paid a premium because our platter was essentially a double brisket platter. No problemo! Just give us that brisket goodness! We thought everything was fantastic and would definitely recommend as a great place in North Richland Hills for barbecue. I appreciate the patriotic theme of the restaurant and simply adore the name.

My husband found the Red Barn Bar BQ a few days ago and could not wait to go back - so there I was - a Saturday afternoon where the heat was over 86 degrees. And it was the best brisket I have eaten so far. It wasn't heavily smoked (so I didn't taste it for the rest of the day) and I didn't feel heavy and had that normal regretting feeling l have when eating this when it's warm outside. I enjoyed every single bite. They also have hand cut fries (love that as you don't see hand cut fries often around where I live). This one is worth the drive, friends. And it's owned by the original person who started this place years ago.

Just to the right of the sign were two Level 2 chargers. We each ordered two 2 meat plates, which included two sides. When we got home and opened the to-go boxes, we realized we had WAY over-ordered. We had enough for two meals for each of us! We had chicken and pork ribs, mac & cheese and flat green beans. It was very tasty with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. I spoke with the owner and thanked him for supporting EVs, to which he replied, "How could I not? It's what's coming. How could I not get on board?" He mentioned that quite a few of his customers found him on Plugshare.com and stop by regularly for a meal and charge. I had to Google "So mote it be."

What happened today was unacceptable from the moment we walked in. The place was visibly dirty and completely unappetizing. The back area was mostly hidden behind what looked like a shower curtain, which did nothing to inspire confidence. There appeared to be only one man working, and he came out only a few times during the entire 45 minutes we waited. Even more concerning, there was a child who looked to be about eight or nine years old wearing latex gloves and repeatedly coming out to the front, apparently helping with restaurant tasks that no child should be doing. Despite having prepaid through Too Good To Go, no one acknowledged us for nearly 10 minutes. We stood in a hot dining room with almost no air conditioning while the child wandered in and out and the adult remained behind the curtain. More people arrived behind us, also with prepaid orders, until there were about 10 people waiting. We watched three other customers receive their food before us. One was a DoorDash driver, which made sense, and one woman had arrived before us. However, another woman with a very small order was served ahead of us even though she arrived after we did. When the man finally came out, we showed him our Too Good To Go order. He swiped the app, marking our order as picked up, then disappeared behind the curtain again and never returned with our food. After waiting 45 minutes in a sweltering dining room on a nearly 100-degree Texas day, we gave up. We left without the food we had already paid for. At that point, losing the cost of the meal was preferable to staying in that environment any longer. This was one of the worst pickup experiences I have ever had. Between the unsanitary conditions, the lack of staff, the presence of a child apparently performing restaurant tasks, the complete absence of customer service, and the fact that we never even received the order we had already paid for, I can say with complete confidence: We will never return.

On a Friday night at 7 I should have wondered when the place was almost empty. The initial service was slow getting an order but actually picked up during the dinner. The decor inside is nice but that's really where it ends. I opted for a Caesar salad to start and it was actually pretty good. Surprising but also that was the highlight of the dinner, which is sad. My wife ordered the half rack of ribs that were just OK. It was a dry rub. Still not as much flavor as I was hoping or expecting. The French fries and beans were mediocre. I ordered the Tennessee Triple with sausage, brisket and turkey. It also came with hush puppies and okra. The brisket was horrible. No taste at all. The sausage not great at all. Now the turkey was surprisingly good and not dry. The okra was mediocre. Then we ordered peach cobbler to try and salvage the night. The server cautioned us that it was very hot. They microwaved it! Had to. The top was hot and then middle very lightly warmish. The bottom of the dish was cold. That's a sure sign of microwave and not a lot of flavor. Needless to say we won't be back .
