We just hired Cortez Rolling to be a vendor at our wedding this past weekend! I can't say enough…read moreamazing things about them. Diego was our roller and he brought 3 kinds of cigars for our guests to choose from! Our guests were RAVING! Diego was so funny, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. We selected to have 50 prerolled cigars available and we went through all of them. They made a custom label for us and it all looked so so great. The cigars were also rolled on site and it was such a cool experience to have at our wedding. The price was fair and we 100% got our moneys worth! People are still texting me saying how much they loved the cigar table and posting photos online enjoying them! If you are considering Cortez Rolling for your event GO FOR IT! Their shop is also so cool and the staff are so friendly. Thank you x a million to this business for making such an impactful and fun time at our wedding!

The irony, as Cortez Cigars was the vendor used for last year's company Holiday Gala, so it was cool to pop in as a passer-by. Shawn was the Cigar Curator where he gestured us in to this dimmed, pretty clear air (not a heavy smoke presence), dark wood/leather furniture & just the right amount of rustic artwork lounge. There's 3 display cases to choose your stogie of your choice, & all of the necessities to enjoy fully. If you choose to delight in house, you can sit amongst a small square table or in the recliners against the brick wall. The small layout provides a relaxing & quant indoor venue for the cigar enthusiasts. My OCD caught hand sanitizer, mints & some other grooming aids for the before & after of partaking in the chohibas....a classy VIP touch. I saw empty bottles of expensive libations, so my summation would be you can BYO, as I didn't see any products on display or for sale...if I missed it, my bad. & what great timing as soon as I walked into my building, my neighbor was walking out & I unexpectedly bestowed the foil bag & lighting accessories upon him. For the cigar lovers in the SS vicinity, this is the place to be to enjoy a tightly-rolled bundle of various types & sizes of dried and fermented tobacco leaf.

Society Seafood has officially revamped, renovated, and reopened with a refreshed concept centered…read morearound upscale coastal seafood and bold Caribbean-inspired flavors, so I had to check it out. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Mac & Cheese was creamy and made for the perfect side. For our entrées, we ordered the Calypso Pan Seared Branzino and the Coconut Curry Snapper. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. Beyond the food, the renovated space feels modern and inviting, making it a great option for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. If you're looking for an elevated seafood experience with Caribbean-inspired flavors, Society Seafood is worth checking out.

Probably an ideal cigar shop for the seasoned cigar smoker and male seasoned cigar smoker. But not…read morea good shop for a novice. I came in here ready to throw my money at them cause I'm loving the new world of cigars. Unfortunately the gentleman wasn't very welcoming. I asked for recommendations and showed him a cigar band of something I smoked hoping he might know a thing or two about it. He curtly said "Never heard of it. Must be a private label". That's fine. I don't expect everyone to know every label on earth, but he didn't bother to ask why I liked it. Instead he walked to the humidor and asked how much I wanted to spend. I told him my budget. He assumed I preferred something lighter (I learned pretty early on into cigars that I prefer medium to plus). However, he decided for me without asking my preferences and said "You'll want a lighter smoke" then pulled out two cigars. I felt too uncomfortable to ask questions and learn more about cigars. It was like he was telling me what is best for me without my opinion and that was that. He was a polite guy, but I could feel that my purchase was more of a nuisance to him than anything. Definitely not a shop for the new cigar smoker. Like I said, this is probably a shop for the seasoned male smoker. I won't be back.
