10/10 Spot, very very friendly atmosphere. Julz was a PEACHHHH. she told us where and what do to around the city and gave us amazing food. From the greeting to the food all the way to leaving was an amazing amazing time. If you are passing by you HAVE to stop here even if it's for a beer. I can say that i will forever be going here till the day i die. Thank you!!!!

    Super cool entrance.

Best drinks and service i had, by far, during our 4 day trip in Kanab. Jacob, the bartender, was excellent and gave us great drinks and recommendations. TRY A SMOKED OLD FASHION, you will not regret it. We also had mac n cheese bites and pork belly bites which were really good, dip them in bbq sauce and ask for a side of Chipotle sauce. The staff here is really nice and always willing to help. Can't recommend this place enough.

I'm not really a 5 star sort of diner bc I feel like the minute you recommend a place someone first and doesn't have quite the same experience. But this time around I have to give this place 5 stars. Cut straight to the chase - the food was really damn good. I hate paying for bbq bc it's always over priced and I can cook it at home for a faction of the cost but this place was really reasonably priced it made eating bbq enjoyable. We started off with their pretzel platter (can't remember the name) but it came with 3 different types of sausages cut up that each had their own unique flavor profile and were all 3 great. I actually really liked the bison sausage. The pretzel was large and such great density. The plate could easily be a meal but get it as an appetizer to share and save room for a meal. If you like deviled eggs theirs are a must try. They actually smoke them and it gives them a great flavor. And they don't skimp with the filling. The Mac and cheese bites were delicious- warm and creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside wish we had more. For the meal we tried the brisket burger which had a slice of brisket as thick as the burger patty and an onion ring in it. Great flavor and combination. Definitely making any old burger shine! We also ordered the two meat combo with a smoked chicken thigh with amazing flavor inside and out and the most tender tri tip (with caramelized onions) I have had anywhere. The only drawback back to the tri tip was it was served on the platter kinda in a spiral pile and it wasn't really appetizing looking for nice clean cuts of tri tip. But flavor wise it was spot on! For the sides we had Mac n Cheese which were a white creamy cheese and SO good, mashed potatoes which were so creamy and buttery smooth, thick cut potato chips with flake salt that are SO good, coleslaw which was just ok really nothing to write home about, and baked beans. I wasn't a fan at all of the baked beans. They were more like Van de Kamp beans with some cut up pork belly in them. I would not recommend trying those unless they change the recipe. But if you like beans either way go for it. Our server Jacob who I think was the chef and clean up crew was great! So sweet and such a great person to chat with. The ambiance of the place was super fun and much nicer looking than any saloon they would have had back in the days. Upstairs is small but there are some games to play while waiting for your food and just an overall comfortable atmosphere. It is worth the little over an hour drive from St George to get there. The drive is beautiful. We are definitely looking forward to going back. I really want to try the tri tip sandwich and get another pretzel! Go for the food and as a bonus check out the museum - which we don't get to do, maybe next time! Keep up the awesome flavors and service!

This is such a cute little gem of a place! Just 7 miles outside of Kanab, has plenty of parking and even RV parking space. There's seating outside and inside, prices are pretty good and honestly the portions are good. My grandma and I shared the tri tip sandwich with the cowboy chips and my aunt had the smash burger with the Mac and cheese. We had the corn ribs appetizer and WOW! They're a must!! The ladies are very attentive and I was glad to support a small business keeping the history of Kanab as well as the US alive.

Wow the food was too good best hamburgers and Mac and cheese! Good service and atmosphere !

We were on a trip celebrating our anniversary and we were offered complimentary dessert to help us celebrate after dinner. Even though we were stuffed, we took our waiter up on his offer. I enjoy trying small batch local ice cream and our server took the time to go find out where the ice cream was made. He let us know that the ice cream was from Salt Lake City and I settled on getting the Huckleberry ice cream - it did not disappoint. The limoncello ricatta cheesecake was equally delicious. We had a reservation for 7pm and ended up being ready for dinner much earlier. I didn't see a way to change our reservation so I just made a new one for 5:15pm with no problem. It was just after 5 and I had no issues making a new reservation online. We did see several people come in and get turned away since they did not have a reservation. They were told the next reservation was not until 8pm. The restaurant was pretty much empty and there were quite a few tables still open when we were leaving. We enjoyed our meal and had no issues, but it does seem like you need to make a reservation and the best way is online and not through the hostess.

We recently dined at the Red Rock Grill at Zion Lodge and had mixed feelings about the experience…read more We ordered the elk chop, bison burger, and bean burger. The burgers themselves were actually good -- the bison burger was flavorful and thankfully not dry, which can sometimes happen with bison. The fries, however, tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. I ordered the elk chop because I had never tried elk before and was excited for the experience. Since I was unfamiliar with how elk is typically prepared, I trusted our server to guide us if needed. Unfortunately, our server -- an older gentleman with glasses and thinning hair -- seemed rushed from the start. He avoided eye contact, took our order hastily, and never once asked how I wanted the elk cooked. When the food arrived, the outside of the elk looked fine, but the center was extremely raw. At first I assumed maybe that was simply how elk is prepared. It wasn't until I overheard the table behind us ordering the same dish and being asked how they wanted it cooked that I realized we had never been given that option. I looked up elk preparation on my phone and learned it is commonly served medium rare because it's such a lean meat. I called the waiter over and explained that my chop was raw in the center. He looked at it and said, "Yup, that's raw." I mentioned that he never asked how I wanted it cooked, and he offered no response or apology. He simply asked, "Anything else?" took the plate, and walked away. As he was leaving, he turned around and casually asked if I wanted another chop. At that point, the poor attitude and lack of service had already ruined the experience. My mother even commented that she felt we were treated differently. To make matters worse, when he returned with our expensive bill, he never checked on us again or even offered dessert. The food itself had potential, but the service completely overshadowed the meal. We left disappointed and wishing we had spoken to a manager before leaving. But wilL never visit this establishment again. There's other option. It was convenience since we were staying inside Zion lodge. We dined with them on May 23 at 745 pm reservation we eat inside since they were closing the outside at 8 pm.

But that's just where the experience starts, and continues whilst your selection of food and beverages are served with little tips, anecdotes and expertise without anything feeling like it's a spiel. Now the food - tremendous! I'm actually forlorn we love so far away this isn't our local! As a couple, we always share. Our choice over two evenings (one being takeout as we weren't staying at the connected hotel were: Steak tartare (I don't enjoy eggs and they accommodated this by putting them in the side) Spanish octopus Golden beets carpaccio Bolognese with the golden trio of meat blend Duck confit cassoulet Pork chop Honestly, I would order any single one of these again without hesitation. Everything component belonged on each dish, and pleasant to eat separately or piled on the fork as one mouthful. (Also appreciated when getting our takeout order that chef referred to cutlery as cutlery - rare in the US - specially when plastic takeout) Don't miss this on your Zion trip, and definitely worth going out of the way for!

One thing to note is that the chips and salsa are ordered separately, and the queso is an added extra charge on top of that. For our meals, we ordered the special swordfish taco and the carne asada tacos. Both proteins lacked flavor and were heavily covered with pineapple salsa, which overpowered everything else. The tacos themselves were very bland and desperately needed salt. Once we added salt, they became much more enjoyable. The same went for the rice and beans -- both were pretty flavorless until seasoned. The highlight of our experience was Jimenez (Hopefully I'm spelling his name correctly) who did a great job handling a very busy bar section. Service was attentive despite how packed it was, and we appreciated that. Overall, the food just did not meet expectations, especially for the price point. Sadly, Bit & Spur would be a hard pass for us if we return to Springdale.

I did also get a cup of their soup of the day (was tomato bisque that day) which was smooth and lovely, and got an order of their homemade bread to go with it. I cannot stress enough that it was some of the BEST home made bread I have ever had, and it paired so well with the creamy soup. It was an unconventional lunch but I left so happy! Both were warm and delicious and we just couldn't stop eating both of them. We loved the pie so much that we got a slice of coconut cream to go and ate it for breakfast the next day. I have been dreaming about this pie ever since and have even had the thought of taking a flight back to Utah just to get a slice. On top of all that, our waitress Jersey was a delight. The burgers were good too, but man, if we didn't order burgers, we probably could have eaten two more slices of pie and I would have liked that just fine!
