Heard this shop from my friend and she highly recommended it! Tried their chicken lemongrass combo with Thai milk tea and Nem fries! Total around $15! It was my very first time trying nem fries and it was super good! Taste like a thin sausage spring roll haha Thai tea is nice and totally brings back my memories of Thailand! Miss it! Banh mi is nice since the bread is super crispy and tasty! Definitely will come back for another try!

It's great to have more banh mi in Richmond and affordable lunch options! I tried the pork lemongrass flavour and it was great. Pork was very juicy and flavourful. Bread was perfectly toasted and not too hard. The location is very convenient too.

New Vietnamese banhmi shop opened in Richmond near Richmond public market. They offered 20%off for the grand opening special. We ordered Sate beef sandwich and Halal chicken lemongrass combo. For combo you can choose one spring roll and one drink. The Sate beef is tender but I don't taste too much of flavour this time. I think it could have more flavor of the meat. I like the lemongrass chicken better because it actually has more flavor. Chicken also tastes good and tender. Nice option for a quick bite in Central Richmond area.

New location opened in Richmond across from Richmond public market. I saw the balloons and the menu outside. Looks clean. Looks good. Looks worth. You can order a single bahn mi or get a combo with a drink and a spring roll appy. Hububs and I ordered two combos with upgraded drinks and upgraded one of the appetizers to the nem fries. (If we're gonna try something new, might as well try it all). Drinks: Avocado shake (3.5/5) : took about 2-3 sips to taste it. The avocado was light and refreshing and not disgustingly sweet. I like. Viet ice coffee (4/5): barely took a sip and the strong coffee flavour smacked me right in the mouth. Just what I was looking for. I could taste the condensed milk but this drink was also not disgustingly sweet. Love it. Bahn Mi: The bahn mis were good. Pretty mid but tipping towards good. I would buy the bread alone....warmy and crusty and tastey. The fillings were ok. Pretty standard. It isn't something I'd be clamouring to get but if I walk past it, as I did the other day, I'd be like..."yes, I would like to eat a bahn mi". Beef sate (3/5): It's supposedly spicy, but I didn't taste the spice. Wasn't bad though. Lemongrass chicken (3/5): pretty standard. A little salty. (Note: be careful. The wrapping is nice so it is easy to eat but if you are a messy eater, you don't stand a chance with all the crumbs) Appetizers: Nem fries (2.5/5 for me, 4.5/5 for hubby): minced garlic pork wrapped in egg roll. Crispy. Tasted good. Was ok for me but my husband loved it. My filipino tastebuds enjoy something fuller like lumpia. Pork cha gio (3.8/5): not bad. Crispy and warm. Yum. Service: Suuuuper friendly staff. Makes the experience more enjoyable. It would have been nice if there was a washroom to wash hands but that's ok. I would defs come back...especially since it's so close. Overall, slightly above average :) I enjoyed it - a nice, hassle-free meal :)

Check-in Pro Tip: get the Sate Beef with fried egg combo and upgrade to a coconut smoothie. You'll also get a spring roll with the combo. Totally worth it

Good sandwiches for the price! Got to get there early or else line up gets long. Takes long like any other subs to get made.

It is a small Vietnamese restaurant, sitting low profile in the neighbourhood of Capstan. There are plenty parking lots outside. I ordered the fish cake noodle soup which is chef recommended. It took a while to cook. The fish cakes were unlike those in other Vietnamese restaurant, they are soft. The soup tasted soothing and without too much flavours. It is good as an everyday noodle soup. The owner is very nice and welcoming. I will be back again.

We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (3:30pm). The inside is tiny (3 tables, 6 high stool seats). Service was no frills, tea cups came out lukewarm. - Herbs - bean sprouts, basil and lemon wedges. Basil was limp. - Tan's special spicy pho ($16.99) - generous portion of meat. Best was the brisket, rare sliced sirloin and pork hock. Broth was decent, heat subtle. Puzzled by the raw red onions. - Han's countryside crab noodle soup ($16.00) - bun rieu broth was weak, lacking depth and substance. Plenty of Vietnamese ham. Okay fare but a step below any of the Vietnamese spots along Victoria Drive.
