On the way from DC to Chicago and stopped for a happy hour and was thoroughly happy with the food and service thanks to the delightful hospitality of our bartender Emily Rose. Had plenty of small plate food, it satisfied our empty stomachs. Pulled pork sammy, tacos, and boneless wings were delicious. The hamburger was a little underseasoned, but good nonetheless. In another visit previously we had a proper sit-down meal (as opposed to at the bar) and highly enjoyed the ribs and combo platter they offered, too. You know when you go to grandmas or your favorite aunts and they keep feeding you until you can barely roll out the door? That's what it's like when Deb serves you. She is awesome. We popped in for a late lunch on a road trip with our son who has sensory issues and is a picky eater because everything makes him gag or dry heave. She made tons of suggestions for him and showed us options on the menu so we could get the most bang for our buck. When I ordered, she told me my meal was on a special that day for B1G1 and brought me extra bread to get 2 sandwiches from my pulled pork. The kitchen had made extra fried pickles so she brought some over to try. She was quick with the drinks and is definitely a pro at her job. Make sure to ask for her if you go in. I've been to this Smokey Bones several times, and it's always a favorite. As such, this review is for more than 20 visits in total. The service and the food are consistently good quality. I always get the "make your own combo" without fail. I've never had a bad meal here, but I have had some food come out every so often that wasn't as hot as it could have been (maybe twice in 20 visits, and I order 5 or 6 food items per visit). Last night, I had the BBQ chicken breast (burnt, but I like burnt chicken), pulled pork, fries, and cole slaw. Hands down, the best cole slaw I've ever had in a restaurant. My only complaint is that they seem to run out of brisket very quickly. I'll come in at 5:30 or 6:00 and Smokey Bones will be out of brisket (they serve it beginning at 4:00). However, considering the quality of food and portion size, I recommend Smokey Bones every time. The service is pretty consistent overall. Obviously when the restaurant is busy, I'm a little more patient. A handful of times (maybe 3 times in 20 visits, and I drink 4 or 5 glasses of tea per visit), I've waited longer than necessary for a refill on iced tea. My friends have no complaints about the bar (but I don't drink alcohol, so it's a moot point to me). As I said, my only complaints are the running out of brisket and occasionally some lukewarm food. But, this is my favorite restaurant in all of Butler County. read more

My friends and I came here for dinner yesterday. We were seated instantly and the waitress was nice. What our food came out, I could not believe how small the portions were for what we had paid. The food was good, but definitely not worth the $35 bill for myself and my fiance. We all left hungry, which is a big issue in my opinion. I stopped in after an appointment at the Lemiuex Sports Complex for lunch. I had the BEST ribs I have had in a long time! The managers Kayla and Ian were very accommodating, and the bartender Kirsten was on it! I wanted for nothing! The mash was hot and the ribs fell apart yet had great texture! The beer/liquor menus are oversized and cumbersome. Please go back to the books you used to have and coach whomever had this idea, as well as who approved this change. BIG STEP BACKWARD! read more

This is the WORST restaurant experience we've had in a long time. There's no host or hostess at the front so you just wait till a server has time to seat you. We had a barbecue combo. 'Bourbon' chicken was dry and leathery. Baby back ribs were dry and flavourless. Sides... baked potato was cold, Mac and cheese was dry and stale. Caesar salad was soaked in garlic. Excellent pulled pork, cole slaw and baked beans. 22 oz cold beers. Fried pickles and onion rings as an appetizer. Group of 12 seated in less than 5 minutes and excellent server. Drinks and apps arrived in 10 min after ordering. Nice atmosphere, watched Ohio State vs Hoosiers on TVs. Server had us and 3 other full tables and never missed a beat with us. Ordered dinner on a Friday night. Waited 30 minutes past the promised time. Then got home and one meal was missing. If you are getting take out check your order. Also, don't expect to get it in time. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Do not waste your money on this awful place! I ordered via Uber Eats. I live 1.5 miles from the restaurant and I could see when my food was picked up for delivery via the Uber tracker. The food arrived roughly 10 minutes later once it was picked up. Everything was ice cold, the baked potato was hard as a rock! I threw all of it away! I called and communicated my dissatisfaction and was promised a call back. No one ever returned my call. Dropped in for dinner after a training class. Being from Texas, I was extremely hesitant but I was pleasantly surprised. When you walk in there are two things you notice. The wonderful smell of meat being smoked and the very attentive waitstaff. The manger personally came by to make sure everything was good. The smoked brisket and wings were excellent! Mouthwatering pieces that melted in your mouth. Add some of the different BBQ sauces set on the table for more delight. For sides I had the dirty rice and steamed veggies. We eat here at least once a month mainly because I love their smoked wings. Try them dipped in their chunky blue cheese dip for a tangy-sweet wonder. Other go to dishes are the nachos, chicken fingers, ribs and mac and cheese. The service has always been friendly when we eat in, but we usually do takeout. They set you up right for takeout with everything you need to enjoy the food-especially those wings!!- at home. read more

We've eaten here twice. terrible service both times, so-so food both times. The menu is not very big, and its printed on your placemat... i had a hard time finding something that sounded appetizing. They do have a pretty good happy hour though... edit: (5-20-08) We went again a couple weeks ago. We sat at the table for 12 minutes and the server still didn't come over.. Went to this restaurant around 12:30 on Sunday... Usually a busy day for most but not here. The meals we picked were a little lower scale because the price increase since we last visited. The meals were very low quality for the price...for ex. The kids meals appeared to be made from the lowest quality food they had in the kitchen. Grilled cheese usually an easy kids favorite ended up untouched. The BBQ chicken was from a Cornish hen..and appeared to be undercooked. The soup and salad was a very small portion with the lettuce core included in the middle......so my point is, there are many places to eat in Cranberry, look a little harder. I agree, as far as the chains go, it isn't bad at all! I typically get the ribs when I go, which end up being nice and tender...(not fall off the bone though ;) ). I really like the assortment of BBQ sauces at the table, It's nice to add a splash on the ribs. I also really enjoy the Spinach and Steak salad. YUM! My steak was done perfectly and the deep fried mushrooms really compliment it. The dressing is excellent as well...really enjoyed this place when I came with my boyfriend. When my boyfriend came to visit , he agreed that it was a nice change of pace from the organic, hairy-legged ambiance he typically encounters up in Cambridge, MA. We love coming here, my favorite is the pulled pork tacos, very yummy. The service is always fast, we always ask for Emily Rose, she's our favorite waitress there, she goes far beyond to make every guest feel right at home. She's very down to earth and friendly, you can tell she loves her job. We usually come back at least once a week because of the great service and food. read more

The food here is really great for a chain. I've had variations of the ribs and pulled pork; the ribs in particular are really great here, with a decent amount of meat that's easy to pull of the bone and little to no fat to work around. Their baked potatoes are a must have. THE SERVICE IS SPECTACULAR. I ate lunch here with my family once and we ordered a dessert... which wound up taking longer than anyone anticipated. Without us even saying anything, our server removed the desert from our bill we were given a 2nd dessert as a courtesy. Now that's customer service. read more

Recently had dinner there with the fam and had a decent experience. We arrived at 5 so it was fast getting a table. They have the goofy computer ordering system at the tables, but don't mess with it or you'll get charged extra for games and whatnot. The meal was decent except my wife's burger, she asked for medium and that sucker was bloody as heck. The pulled pork was good but the serving was small. The fries are ok but totally coated in salt so everyone's mouth was dry as the Sahara all night. I'd probably eat there again in 6 months or so after I try more of the local places, but I'm not in a hurry to rush back except maybe to check out the waitress' butt again :) read more
