The food here is really great for a chain. I've had variations of the ribs and pulled pork; the ribs in particular are really great here, with a decent amount of meat that's easy to pull of the bone and little to no fat to work around. Their baked potatoes are a must have. THE SERVICE IS SPECTACULAR. I ate lunch here with my family once and we ordered a dessert... which wound up taking longer than anyone anticipated. Recently had dinner there with the fam and had a decent experience. We arrived at 5 so it was fast getting a table. They have the goofy computer ordering system at the tables, but don't mess with it or you'll get charged extra for games and whatnot. The meal was decent except my wife's burger, she asked for medium and that sucker was bloody as heck. The pulled pork was good but the serving was small. The fries are ok but totally coated in salt so everyone's mouth was dry as the Sahara all night. I'd probably eat there again in 6 months or so after I try more of the local places, but I'm not in a hurry to rush back except maybe to check out the waitress' butt again :) read more

We stopped here for dinner tonight. After being seated immediately, we were greeted by our server. We selected the "Pick 2 Favorites". The turkey breast was tender and delicious. The chicken strips were accompanied by a choice of tasty sauces. (These sauces were not suggested by the server, but we knew that we could order them.) The baked beans were excellent and the baked potato was perfectly cooked. The sweet potato stix were outstanding. The grilled vegetables were good, but they weren't worth the extra dollar that we had to pay for them. Beverage refills took a long time to get. First visit after reading some of the recent reviews. I went for one reason...to get a decent burger not cooked on a flat top. The burger I got here was grilled and very tasty. I ordered it rare, knowing that it would be medium...it was and that's OK. It was properly cooked and served with crunchy onion rings, without a bit of seasoning (lack of seasoning is the burgh way from what I gather). Note to 'burghers: salt and pepper are considered seasoning as they enhance the flavor of nearly all foods. I sat at the bar and was served efficiently by Kate, the busiest person in the front of the house. The staff seemed friendly and courteous (not the burgh way) and the place was clean and worthy of my patronage. I didn't smell anything that resembled bbq. Not sure why, since this is supposed to be a bbq joint. And NO Hipsters! Nice! I'll follow up after my next visit which will be soon. read more

I usually don't do these thing how ever I think it's necessary today! My son and I came in today after school to grab a bite, after waiting about 15 mins we where seated. Our servers name was Brittny and she was absolutely amazing!!! Right away she interacted with my son. He is 6 and a little rambunctious and she was so good with him. She checked in on us but not to much to were it become annoying. She made sure drinks were full and table was cleared. We had a pleasant conversation she was very cheerful and professional. It was our first time here. The food leaves something to be desired, the sweet potato fries were not that great and they were out of the ribs my son was wanting. However our server Mariah made the visit worthwhile. She fixed our check with a smile on her face and from watching we could tell she genuinely likes to interact with patrons. Donuts are a warm and delicious with raspberry and chocolate sauce for dipping. This location was clean but understaffed for Mother's Day. 4:30PM Saturday 4-8-17: 1. Bad table though restaurant empty. 2. Server didn't know if they had a house wine. 3. Server placed order for wrong wine. 4. Server would not hand over wine list to allow me to choose another. 5. Took 10 minutes to get the right wine. 6. Took another 10 to get a salad. 7. Salad had wet lettuce but no dressing--none at all. 8. Server insisted water on lettuce was dressing, but agreed to bring 'more'. 9. Meal arrived before dressing. 10. Sirloin was thin, overcooked, and riddled with gristle. 11. Steak knife was too dull to cut gristle without sawing. 12. Loaded baked potato looked good but was flavorless and... 13. ...the potato skin was burnt to a crunchy crisp on the bottom. 14. Cole slaw tasted prepackaged but was at least tolerable. 15. Restaurant offers exactly three dessert choices, one of which is an Oreo cookie dipped in donut batter and rolled in Cocoa Krispies. 16. Bill came with only partial refund of wrong wine. 17. Had to package my own leftovers. ONE STAR ADVISORY: If you are dragging your starving, emaciated body across a post-nuclear apocalyptic hell-scape and find yourself at the door of the very last open restaurant on Earth, and it is this Smokey Bones in Cranberry, then--maybe. I would give it zero stars if I could. Went here with a large party (17), and called ahead to make reservations. Arrived and tables were arranged to accommodate us. Waitress took our order at about 11:30am (early lunch- next to no one there). Took over an hour and a half to receive our food, several people had to leave, and at 1:10pm the last meal came out. During this time, the group was ignored, we did not receive any drink refills, and, even though we spoke to the manager, no explanation was given, and we STILL couldn't get a drink refill. When the food did come out, there were multiple wrong orders, half the food was cold, and the other half was under cooked. One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Keep in mind this is a chain restaurant so there isn't anything crazy great about it. One thing that I really like is that there is individual speakers at each table. so depending on which game or show that you are watching on the multiple tv's you can always hear the sound of that show just by setting your individual speaker system. We went here for some dinner at about 4:00 on a Friday. For an appetizer we ordered the Smoked wings and Onion rings. Both were very good. For my main course I ordered the build your own burger. I ordered the 1/2 pound premium Angus Pattie which was a dollar more than the regular ground meat. Defined not worth it. It was tasteless. It seemed like a cheap frozen Pattie. It was nowhere close to a 1/2 pound Pattie. I ordered it done medium but, it was rare in the center and medium around the outside. I also got the kettle chips on the side. They were disgusting. They tasted like raw breading. They had white powder on them. Completely inedible. The waitress told us that they come frozen in a bag. I can't believe they can't even cut kettle chips fresh. My wife ordered the Asiago Chicken Penne. The cream sauce was curdled like spoiled milk. The sun dried tomatos were hard as a rock, completely inedible. The server was very nice about everything and didn't even charge us for anything. That was nice anyway. She got a nice tip from us anyway; I figured it wasn't her fault. read more

Not only is service terrible (think our entire table has empty drinks while the servers chat in the back) but food is crappy and takes forever. The only thing I like here is the wings. I'm not sure how this restaurant is run that makes the service so terrible but they need to get it together. We waited at least 20 min to be seated, we were the only ones waiting.....not one person even acknowledged us standing there, it stemmed as if everyone was trying harder to not look at us. Finally a very nice girl greeted us and sat us (party of 3) at a huge corner booth. Table so big we had to scream to talk to one another. We sat here and waited and waited and waited some more. We were able to flag down a server who was trying very hard not to make eye contact with us, just to ask if our waitress knew we were there? A woman then came to take our drink order , she was very abrupt, she raced away then slammed the drinks down in the center of the table with a handful of soak and wet straws. She told us "your server is held up in the kitchen". About ten min later a server comes to the table who we had watched chatting away at a booth across the restaurant. She appeared annoyed that we were there. we placed our order and our appetizer and salads arrived quite some time later. Everyone's drinks were gone by then, we were starving! The server literally threw the food at us and disappeared. We had no SILVERWARE!!!! I got up from the booth and went looking for someone to just hand me silverware.... No luck! We did not see our server again until our dinners arrived. We sat there starving but unable to eat, we couldn't get anyone attention. (I guess if it's not your table, it's not your problem?!). So, the waitress delivers our meals, When she saw we hadn't touched anything she said "THEY never gave you silverware?!". Never an apology for anything. The appetizer was disgusting. Buffalo chicken dip. Translation....hard, cold, chicken tenders covered in microwave cheese. I pointed out to the server that it was supposed to be shredded chicken, she laughed and said "your prob right". She scooped up the plate and took it away. Never offered to get us something else or remake what we ordered correctly. So now that we had silverware we could eat. We had gotten here about 7 pm and it was now after 8 and the place was not busy at all. Every table around us was piled high with dirty dishes. Never saw anything like this. Our meals were not worth the wait. Sad part is when you are hungry you will eat just about anything!We were so disgusted with the service, the food, the wait. Best part is you can pay your bill at the table. But,If you pay with a credit or debit card it adds a 20% tip! Hilarious! For our bill it was $17. We saw her 4 times total. When we left, all the booths that were dirty when we got there....they were still dirty. Anyone new arriving was seated at a center table. We overheard a waiter say "I could clean that for you if you want me to, or you can sit here. Never again! We didn't get out of there until 9:20. Nearly 2.5 hrs for microwave dinners. read more

I use to love Smokey Bones, particularly the St. Louis ribs. Recently, things haven't been great, but I gave it another chance a couple of weeks ago since I use to love it so much. My dinner was inedible. I was there with four other people, and not one of us liked our meals. Two hamburgers, one baby back ribs, and two combo ribs were ordered. My ribs were over salted and too tough to eat. I sent it back and when we received the bill, they had graciously taken it off the bill (Really? Like you're doing me a favor when I had two bites?). No one else ate their meals either, and refused doggy bags. I'm so sad that this restaurant has gone down so much. I miss it. read more

If I could give a big fat zero I would - the place was 1/2 full on a Saturday at 645- we were told it would be 25 minutes so a table... Obviously understaffed - 1 bar tender and it was packed at the bar..... People waiting to be seated . We could see the manger delivering food - this is never a good sign.... Should have left then. Once seated it took--- 30 minutes to get a waitress to take an order..... Then another 20 minutes to bring water.... When we ordered it was 730 and they were uut of baked potatos - how can that be??? Then the waitress return with my soup which was literally- 2 tablespoons of soup for an extra charge? Oh ya- and we are now out of pasta- how does a rib place run out of pasta? I ordered the brisket sandwich- when it came another 30 minutes later- it literally looked like they scrapped the bottom of the pan and threw some cheese on it and served it...... What the heck- when the waitress returned I asked her to remove this plate and take it off my bill- I did not want anything else. She did and later the Manager came by to apologize and offer me a 10 gift card--- not that I ever plan to return.... Stay away from here... Went to Smokey Bones earlier tonight for some drinks and a burger and I will absolutely be returning just for the service alone. Trish, the bartender, made one of the best drinks I've ever had called Shipwrecked. I told her a few drinks I liked and asked her recommendation and I couldn't have been more happy with what she brought me. She had a busy bar and still managed to make sure I was taken care of and was enjoying everything. She was polite, quick with her service and tolerated all my dumb questions about drinks and bar techniques. Burger was decent, but I'll be returning strictly for the service and hoping I go in again when Trish is working. read more

My husband and I were feeling nostalgic for our Southern home and craving some good BBQ. Overall we were glad we tried Smokey Bones - pulled pork sandwich was good, sweet potato fries were DELICIOUS. Husband had ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, and baked potato - all were devoured. It's not the best BBQ on earth (that's in Tennessee) but a solid, convenient chain restaurant with good food - we'll be back! read more

Passing by area and decided to stop in for dinner with family. WOW! The food was amazing. From the onion rings to the donuts with chocolate and raspberry dipping sauces.
