I couldn't decide on one meat so I opted for a combo - brisket, jalapeño and cheese sausage, pulled pork, mash potatoes and gravy, bbq baked beans and added an order of Buffalo wings. The food was packaged with care and still very warm upon delivery. What a feast it was! The sausage had that perfect pop and snap and the cheese and peppers inside were bold. It broke my heart when it was all eaten cause I wanted more! Absolutely favorite part of this meal! The brisket was very tender and juicy. Nothing out of this world but very tasty. The pulled pork, sadly, was dry. The perfect way to fix that was to add BBQ sauce... that the restaurant failed to give me any of. What a huge disappointment. The baked beans were so sweet and just delightful, truly some of the best I've ever tasted! The mash had a heavy flavor of garlic, but luckily, I love lots of garlic! I always liked Smokey Bones. I traveled for a living and every now and then you get hooked on same Chain Restaurants for a while, Applebee's, Chilis, etc, and Smokey Bones was one of them for me for a short while. I think it's the best Chain BBQ place there is. The prices are creeping up a little as of late, like everywhere else. I had the St Louis Rack with two Cocktails (Well Bourbon) and with Tip (20%) it came to exactly $40; I probably rounded up a few cents, I like even numbers, the service was good as always. I'm retired now so don't eat out as much thank goodness, but the Melbourne Smokey Bones is my Tradition on Thanksgiving Weekend. They are open for reduced hours on the Holiday; this year was 11 AM - 8 PM. The food won't disappoint. read more

My experiences in Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill (I will shorthand it to Smokey Bones for the remainder of this review) are few and far in between. However, said experiences have always been fantastic. For this review, I will summarize everything from my two visits prior to Yelp and my one after becoming a Yelper, into an overall review. First and for most, Smokey Bones kinds of comes off as a hybrid sports bar and steakhouse. It has all the makings of restaurants similar to Outback Family Steakhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse, yet has the sports bar feel similar to places like Buffalo Wild Wings. As a result, you can come for either experience. I however cannot state how it is during pay-per-views. The food is great in general. Whenever I ordered a steak, it was cooked to what I wanted. I ordered once at medium well and the other at medium rare and they came out as is. However, my favorite meal is with friends ordering the huge fire grill stacked with meat and grill sides. Also on a side yet important note, the bathrooms are clean too especially during busy times which is of major note. The prices are a bit on the high end, but the quality of food makes up for it. Just make sure you have more than $30 just to be safe. You never know when you'll find something extra on the menu you like. read more

Where do I start. The place was clean and inviting, wasn't to busy at the time we were there. The waiter was brand new and didn't know literally anything, me and my buddy ordered 2 different beers and they came out looking the same. We questioned it and the waiter said we were out of one so I just gave you what your friend ordered. After we took a sip we realized it was another beer, so we confirmed with the waiter what it was and he said it was what you ordered. Then our appetizers came loaded cheese fries(which were deliscous) in the smallest dish possible. We asked another waitress walking by if this was a full order and she said no it was a side. So we asked the waiter when he came back and he started getting loud and said I told you more were coming. We were just trying to figure out why we got a side order first then the regular. Then our skillet cornbread came to the table, which was good too but we had to ask for butter for it and that took a few minutes. Needless to say it must have been a problem with the waiter being new, and the other staff maybe having an off night, so it happens. Then the manager came over and we asked to cancel the rest of our order, she was super nice and tried to get us to stay but our waiter and another waiter were giving us dirty looks the rest of the time, so we decided to go. She wanted to comp our whole meal but we wanted to pay for the beers atleast. And then she threw in an order of donuts to go. I usually ask to go to Smokey Bones for my birthday but today was not my birthday, and we felt we had been gifted. Our favorite menu item is baby back ribs (not the imported ones). Meat is fall off the bones, so tender, not overcooked, large serving size, wonderful sides. Chocolate cake is moist and a lot of flavor, unlike many restaurant chocolate cakes. JUMBO WINGS? For that Price I expected a lot larger...they look like average wings? I ordered 8 garlic Parmesan-8 Memphis dry rub, two hamburgers with french fries and a Brunswick stew. Upon starting to serve my food I received eight wings first, to then five minutes later Memphis dry wings, 10 minutes later my two hamburgers, 15 minutes later my stew. What's the reasoning there? I didn't think I had to tell her the order to come out of the kitchen. I should have.... soup first, THE TWO STYLE wings brought out together with the burger together!! Just left Smokey Bones for a late lunch or early supper. I had the Chicken Salad. It was great. It had enough meat that it didn't taste like a normal salad. I will get it again. But the service was fantastic. We stayed because they have the taps running for beers we like. And then Lauren was great. I left a review before the waiter offered a bag of donuts for leaving him a good review I did but the service was slow the prices to high 39.00 dollars for a ribeye the donuts never arrived it took them a minimum of 30 minutes to bring the check Then I waited another 10 minutes on my way out for the donuts to be fair I did not have the ribeyes. I have a rack of ribs and a free one if you bought one which I had I guess they figured if they give a free rock they could take their time.
