Soooo, we decided to give them another chance. Our last experience was quite awful. But I have to admit, Smokey Bones definitely redeemed themselves and we are true fans now. The food was Excellent!!! I had the double trouble and he had the grill for 2. It came on this little table grill that had some coals in it to keep it warm. FANTASTIC!! Everything was very delicious and we barely made a dent in our servings. We had an AWESOME server-Paige, and she went above and beyond to take care of us!!!!. We got the combo any two favorites which comes with two sides. We ordered spicy sausages, bbq bourbon chicken, texas brisket, and hand-pulled pork. Sides: mashed potato with gravy, fries, coleslaw. Drinks: house margaritas, mango boba lemonade. The texas brisket was a little bit salty on the outside. The 2 sausage links did not impress me. The pulled-pork came between two garlic toasted bread buns which was good. Chicken was very good even though small amount. The mashed potatoes were a little bit dry, so make sure to mix them with the gravy sauce before eating; the gravy is not as good as the one at cheddars though. House margaritas were $5.50 each. The boba $4. Water was served in jars with lemon which is pretty cool. They also gave us additional napkins and hans wipes which is appreciated. However the silverware felt cheap. Chicken goes exceptionally well with the tangerine sauce. Texas brisk and pulled-pork match well with the savory mustard sauce. Final bill was $50, but we had a $10 discount coupon. I was plenty full at the end even though at first sight the portions dis not seems very big. I think if the food was arranged on the plate in a fancier way it would massively help (especially for the fries). For example the gravy sauce was served inside a small pool in the mashed potato, which it looked very good, but the fries were just laid off in the big oval plate. The bartenders know what I like, the service at the bar is very attentive and they keep the kitchen open late. Near the end of the night they're out of a few items but the menu is diverse enough for you to find something you like. Wifi is available for free so you can probably see me banging away at the bar on my laptop as a 21st century version of Hemmingway drinking sprite and writing short sentences filled with profanity that may/may not be published someday. Not a fan of smokey bones. This location is no different than others I have been too. Last location I tried was Boca Raton in 2019. 1st off wife was hungry as we came into town. Not I. I asked what she wanted or was feeling for her response "where ever you go". Remember I'm not hungry. So I went here to prove a point about answering a question when asked about what you want to eat. Happens too frequently. When we got here around 7:00 on a Monday there's a total of 11 patrons including us and 4 employees including bar tender. Hostess Atila served us because he could not locate our server. We ordered pretzel sticks for app which were good. Wife ordered a burger which surprisingly she said was okay. I ordered the smoked turkey platter which was dry and lacked smoke flavor. There bbq sauces were an attempt but also lacked flavor and seemed watery. Our server was nice and talkative. He actually talked for about 5 minutes before putting our order in. The pos game system on table was covered with previous greasy fingers. The floor was mopped with dirty greasey mop. The residue was so visible it was just gross. Server brought out straws in a napkin and apologized for bringing them out that way. He stated they restaurant ordered wrong straws. Ok I understand but a GM should have sent back and ordered correct products. While we were there a group of 6 came in and 8 of original patrons had left. Went to this restaurant with my husband when he was really craving BBQ. The food was pretty good (bbq pulled pork and ribs) and you got a lot of it... like we had two meals worth of left overs. The drinks were also pretty good and they have a great selection of cocktails for those of us who don't like beer! It definitely had a sports bar/restaurant vibe with lots of TVs everywhere. We were there when some big game was happening (I'm not super into watching sports), but it must have been exciting because the restaurant was quite loud and we had to talk loudly to hear each other over the noise. Decided to finally give this place a chance, so a friend and I went to check it out. We were greeted by the hostess who rudely said, "You may have to sit at the bar." No, "Hello." No, "How are you?" Nothing. So, we decided to find seating at the bar. The bartender wasn't any better. She ignored us for approximately 10 minutes, then finally acknowledged us to say she'd be right back. Another 10 minutes goes by (mind you, she's waiting on everybody else at the bar and has passed in front of us a total of 16 times without even looking at us), and FINALLY returns for our drink order. We kindly ask for menus, and she sarcastically said, "Give me a minute, I'm getting them." Our drinks come back, wrong, so we just roll with it thinking she's busy. She's not. She's chatting it up with her friends on the other side of the bar with some of her co-workers while we wait another 15 minutes before she even attempts to return to take our order (Again, she has passed us repeatedly without even looking at us). At this point, we decide to get up and leave. Note - The entire restaurant was a mess. Almost every empty table had dirty plates, cutlery, cups, and napkins. The bar had dirty cups piled at the end. I came here in search for a decent burger. Sat at the bar, ordered the smokehouse burger and got the bacon substituted with avocado. The burger was good. Better than a couple I've had in the area, but I am still exploring! The toppings were scarce compared to the size of the party. The food was terrible lol. I know microwaved food when I taste it. The Brisket was so dry I could've choked. The nachos had dried microwaved cheese stuck together all over the plate you could tell they only put the stuff on the top and not the middle. The only think I liked were the fries. I don't know if they're cheating their ways because of budget but this place is gona go out of business if they don't start cooking things fresh. Even Texas road house microwaved cheese fries and green beans is better than this.
