We decided to try this place out on a Wednesday night. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes and my wife wanted to go somewhere else but I said by the time we drive and wait it would be the same amount of time. This was my mistake. Now mind you, the restaurant wasn't full but I am guessing they needed more staff. The hostesses were young and new as you could tell. They were as interested in themselves as they were the customers. After about a 30 minute wait we were taken to our table. I noticed that the table was dirty and the hostess went to get something to clean it. I took about 5 minutes the hostess to get some paper towel and a spray bottle to wipe the table. In the meantime, we sat and brushed off the table after tiring of waiting. Now one thing I noticed is that their website has specials on it. There are no signs on the table and the waitress doesn't even tell you that there are specials. I had to ask about it. I was going to try the all-you-can-eat wings but it was 7:52 and it doesn't start until 8:00. So my wife and I got the BOGO Pulled Pork platter and my sons got a build-a-burger and the kids' ribs. I can't say that our waitress Jennifer was overly attentive as she had about 5-6 tables. She came by to check for refills and to tell us three times that our food should be coming up but that the kitchen was behind. We finally got our food at 8:44. By this time I was a little annoyed. The food was fine. My son really liked the kid's ribs he got. My other son didn't finish his burger as it was a little charred. I think from trying to cook it fast. The pulled pork that my wife and I got was okay, not spectacular but okay. Her baked potato was small though. Actually, the portion sizes seem small for the prices they were charging. When trying the BBQ sauces, two of the four bottles had labels and two did not. They were all sticky though. The sauces were not great in my opinion. I did try my son's ribs after he was done. They were tasty and fell off of the bone. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and have to decide if I want to go back. I had the ribs, corn, baked beans and they were AWESOME! The price was good as it was the special $14.99 for a full slab. It would have been well worth it at $20.00. First and last time here. My family loves to eat out so we have been to many different BBQ places. This has to be the worst. We ordered the Bone Fire that has your food over charcoal. The concept is neat but it over cooks your food. I also ordered brisket that was to dry to swallow. The mashed potatoes and fries were good. Everything was just over cooked and lacked unique flavor. I recommend Bad Brad's instead. The waitress was Jasmine and she was super nice, but btwn the bar taking 20 minutes to get a drink and the over priced food it's just not worth it. read more

Thank you for your response to my Yelp Review for our food purchase for our office yesterday 9/28. While it is never easy to leave such a scorching review the food was truly everything I said it was. I have been in corporate foodservice my whole life and I know it is our passion to make sure our food products are pleasing and satisfying to our customers. Our company also offers a Smokehouse food station on occasion to our clients and we understand all that goes into managing food production, recipes, waste, repurposing, etc. We also fully understand the challenges restaurants and our business have been forced to deal with in hiring competent and skilled labor and trying to do our best to oversee and manage production. Like I said in my review, I think it would be best to pay closer attention to production and lean more toward under producing food than over producing. I believe you are better off running out and make fresh for the next day of business. I have a lot of friends who own restaurants and I know it sounds easier said then done but they are not afraid of running out due to the volatility in measuring participation and patronage because of this unfortunate economy we have been dealt. For that reason, I do not just write off a restaurant because I have a bad experience and I strongly believe in being transparent and truthful with restaurants so they can address and fix the problem. Trust me, we have gotten bad feedback as well amidst apologies for telling us what we needed to hear. The truth is I appreciate when people tell us any issues we have regarding our services that will allow us to take corrective action and right the ship. Our food was outstanding. The BBQ burger was very tasty w a slight hint of smoke flavor. It was cooked perfectly and the potato wedges were a nice side. The brisket grilled cheese w tomato bisque is also another tasty option. The nacho looked incredible too! The manager was very friendly and quite encouraging to all the staff. They looked and tasted like they were taken out if a fridge microwaved then served with sauce on top. Ribs were rather tough and chewy. Coke slaw was dry and tasteless. The food was outstanding. We ordered the Pulled Pork Platter. It was BOGO. We were pleasantly surprised. We assumed the portions would be smaller. The portions were huge, and included fries, Cole slaw, and corn bread. The pulled pork was juicy. The flavor was delicious. The service was wonderful. The music was a variety of genres. We were able to have a conversation, without screaming at each other. It was a wonderful experience, and we will be returning. I noticed this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and finally got a chance to stop. The hostess was very pleasant and engaged in conversation as she seated us. Olyvia was our waitress and took our drink orders. She answered a few questions about the menu and I decided on the Brisket Stuffed Grilled Cheese and baked beans. We also ordered the skillet cornbread with pecan butter. Everything was very tasty and the cornbread was awesome. My friend had the chili and said it did not disappoint. Another friend ordered the salmon and said that it was cooked to perfection. We will definitely visit again. Olyvia was the best waitress we experienced in a long time. Honestly the food was really good and our waitress Brianna was an absolute sweetheart. We ate there for happy hour and the drinks were strong and our food was really good and fresh. First and LAST visit. Terrible Service and Worse Food. After my family of three arrived at our table #73/1, we sat ignored for twenty minutes. Three other servers were oblivious to us while they assisted everyone else while it was not unusually busy. Then a table of four sat down across from us and was immediately waited on and received drinks. I had to walk to the front check in desk to get someone to help us, and the check in girl took our drink order - later delivered by our server (Victoria). We ordered water, a non-alcoholic Strawberry Lemonade (my son liked it), a Smooth Bourbon Blackberry Lemonade (terribly sour and undrinkable), and a delicious sweet Woodford Sour which had a big block of ice, but used a generic maraschino cherry. The Bourbon Blackberry Lemonade was really bad - nothing sweet about it at all, and we sent it back. It was not mixed or shaken, and stirring it did not improve it. We ordered a Korean Pork Belly Pops appetizer and then waited another 20 minutes. A different girl brought it out and quickly left without bringing plates. The other servers ignored us and when I asked the bar staff for plates they said they didn't have any. We ended up taking turns passing the dish around, and used our napkins, but it was good. Our server was no where to be seen. To replace the terrible Bourbon Blackberry Lemonade, I ordered a second Woodford Sour from our server and then waited another 20 minutes. I asked the guy who delivered our meals about it, and received it promptly. However, it was a completely different tasting drink, un-stirred, not very good, and very strong. It wasn't sweet and I had to let the ice dilute to drink it. It seems the bartender does not measure their pours, content ratios, or follow a recipe. My wife ordered a side Caesar Salad and 8-piece Memphis dry rub wings. The salad had wilted red and brown lettuce. She barely touched it and only ate three of the 8-piece wings before feeling sick. It's hard to say if it was the salad or undercooked wings that made her sick. My son ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries and could only eat less than half of it. The meat was dry like jerky, and the bun had a sickly surgery taste. The fries also tasted strange and he only had a few of them - even though he loves fries. I ordered the full rack of Baby Back Ribs with BBQ beans and coleslaw. Instead, I received ribs with baked potato and sour cream, and coleslaw. They corrected the error, but I had to wait another 10 minutes to get the beans which were ok (I think they use canned), but the coleslaw was sweet and creamy. The ribs however were dry and tough, and looked like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for several hours. The BBQ sauce was dry. It was also very strange that the table BBQ sauce bottles were all worn off and unreadable. We had to guess what each was, and this was supposed to be a new location but had worn out bottles. Finally, we ordered the Bag O' Donuts desert for take out since my wife was feeling ill and went to the car. Our clueless server (Victoria) never asked if we wanted to take home our mostly un-eaten food. We wouldn't have, but it was painfully obvious she was a very young new hire with very little if any training. We were never asked nor received additional drinks (water or lemonade), and ended up sharing our ice water. The final comedy of errors was the bill. I asked about a military discount which she replied, "Yes we do, I just need to get a manager." A few minutes later, I received the same bill as she forgot to ask her manager. She never even left the cashier terminal which was in full view to even ask. This whole experience was atrocious and we did not feel welcome there. The staff ignored us, our server was mostly absent, absent minded, and oblivious. We waited 20 minutes for a table, waited 20 minutes for a server, received terrible drinks, waited another 20 minutes for an appetizer with no plates, waited another 20 minutes to get a second poorly made cocktail, received poor quality (not fresh) salad which made my wife sick, and the meat was dry and the fries and bun tasted funny. There also wasn't a manager anywhere in sight until we were leaving. I spotted a woman in a red shirt who replied she was one of the managers. I tried to withhold my frustration while describing some of what had transpired, but she appeared completely indifferent. I plan to contact the corporate office to let them know about this location, but not to receive any discounts or free meals. My family will not be returning here or likely any other location again. read more

This place is going downhill fast. Took my family on a Saturday night and it was dead, that should have been our warning. Started off by ordering some drinks where they denied my sons fiancé due to claiming her state of MI issued drivers license was fake. We ordered our food and they brought my daughters wings, which was her meal, out over 15 minutes before any other food came out. Finally got the rest of our food after a manager who checked on us had to go back to the kitchen to get it. The food was disappointing, way too salty and not a true smokehouse flavor. Our waitress was nowhere to be found and we had to go to the bartender for a refill of water. Overpriced and disappointing. We will not be back. Looking forward to the new restaurant that will replace this one when they go out of business shortly. read more
