Congratulations to Smokey Bones for satisfying a sincere craving for ribs!! This is the carry out version review on 2/17/2023 at 5pm but I look forward to in-house meal. The orders for myself and my wife were double trouble entree, Memphis and baby back ribs, @6 bones each, with fries and creamy coleslaw. She ordered the 6ounce sirloin, medium well, baked potato and steamed broccoli. The beauty of carry out is eating ribs and getting super messy with my ribs! Ohhh the fall off the bone taste of both sets of ribs!! Finger licking to the nines!! Toss in a forkful of creamy coleslaw and you can feel that craving being satisfied. Meanwhile, the quiet wife is smiling after each bite of her scrumptious 6 ounce sirloin. A VERY good sign of positivity! As far as pricing, don't ask! If you are as pleased as we are with both our meals, it's worth it. I write chilling reviews if paying big bucks and getting sub par food. Kudos to the young lady who took my order and retrieved it when I arrived. She was the best face to greet at carry out. First impression means a lot. It can make or break future returns. First time dining at this location, all 4 of us were very happy with our meals. Food was delicious, drinks were very good and service was friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. We will be back. We all shared soft pretzels with cheese, Full slab of ribs, bbq chicken, pulled pork sandwich on garlic toast, smoked turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, street corn, potato wedges and baked beans for sides. Well despite some of the bad reviews I am glad we took the chance and went here. The last time I here was when it was a TGI Fridays. I love the changes and the atmosphere. It's airy and welcoming. Our server Kim was on the ball. She explained all the bbq sauces which are outstanding. The pulled pork was the best I have ever had. It is worth the trip give them a chance. I see that this place is getting a lot of mixed reviews. We were there on Sat. night around 6:00 pm, prime dinner time. We were told it was about a 30 min wait, we were sat in 15, great start. We had a very pleasant waitress and she was very attentive. We were a party of four and each of got something different. The ribs were quite good as was the brisket and smoked turkey, we all enjoyed the MacNCheese as a side as well. The Ribs tips however were awful, they were so burnt they were not even edible. The only other thing worth mentioning was that someone in my party knocked over the salt shaker which broke and shattered on the floor. Numerous waitresses looked at it and sort of walked past it and didn't say a word which we thought was weird. Eventually, our waitress came out and took care of it. A friend and I decide to stop for a drink and an appetizer after playing cards this afternoon. Sat at the bar where Jordon waited on us. She is a delight. We each got the Long Island on the happy hour menu and we split an order of the smoked traditional wings with the Memphis dry rub, not sauce, there are sauces on the table if you want. I was excited to visit Smokey Bones after seeing that it had just opened up on Hall Road. The outside and inside decor was so nice and the menu looked great. However, that's where the good ends. It took my aunt an I over an HOUR to get our meal. Just a sandwich and a salad. And then after all that, our order was wrong! My aunt decided that if she had to wait another hour to just get a salad, that she wouldn't want anything at all. Our waitress sent out a manager to speak with us and he did apologize but also made excuses. The staff is new, the cooks are new, okay....? He said we would get a discount off our bill (which we never got) and invited us to be a rewards member, but we just honestly wanted to leave. read more

Took my family here last night and was very disappointed. Everything was so dry. I had the brisket with beans and coleslaw. Beans and coleslaw were good but the brisket was dry and tough. My wife had the smoked turkey which was also very dry. Mom had shrimp she liked it ok and dad had the driest steak we've ever seen. The plates were so hot the servers had to napkins to shield their own hands indicating the meals must've been under lamps for some time. And only received half of it when we asked for a manager. Another hour later after talking to the manager and a trainer did we finally receive the rest of the order. This is one of the worst restaurants I've ever eaten, highly overpriced and very very small portions. I had the brisket grilled cheese. Not very appealing served with an absolute small amount of fries. This meal was $20.99. Outrageous! My husband had the half slab of ribs, now his portions were that of for a small child. Went there last night for the first and the last time for drinks and appetizers. There was a new bartender who was left to her own by what appeared the be the floor manager until the kitchen manager came out. Drinks took 20 minutes and the place was far from busy. My drink was unbalanced and very strong. The bar was a mess and in dire need of being wiped down. That did not happen during the hour while we were in the restaurant. By far the smallest portions I have ever seen for this ridiculous price. 14.99 for 8 of the smallest wings ever. The menu clearly says Jumbo smoked wings and when I called to question the server insisted that all the smoked wings are jumbo, but the menu also has 8 regular smoked wings and fries for 9.99. I wish there was a 0-star option on yelp but even that would be too generous for Smokey Bones. Dry and unappetizing doesn't even begin to describe the food. The brisket was horribly tough and slimy, not to mention overpriced for the toddler-sized portion. The adjoining fries were cold and soggy and I waited over 35 minutes for a new side of equally as cold and soggy replacements. My boyfriend was served a "medium-well" burger that looked like they had just microwaved a raw beef patty and called it good. He couldn't even eat it, poor thing looked like it was still mooing. Our server was less than attentive and never refilled our drinks made any attempt to salvage either of our meals. The general manager, Ray, was very rude to us and essentially blamed the poor food and serving on us for coming in to eat during a dinner rush. A few months ago we had their chicken wings for carry out and they were amazing. Best we ever had. We came in about a month ago and the chicken wings were terrible. They were tiny and very dry. The waitress explained that their supplier changed and that's why the wings were so small. We decided to try it again today and the waitress said that the wings were good today. They were better than last time but no where near the first time we had them. They were burnt to a crisp. I also ordered a cheeseburger which was terribly burnt as well. Waitress forgot the ranch we asked for which isn't a big deal but added to the negative experience. We were so disappointed. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after giving them a second chance, we will not return. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

NEVER AGAIN. i ordered a appetizer of nachos and my boyfriend ordered a burger. thankfully he checked the food because he received a chicken sandwich. when he asked the manager for help with the situation he stated "they will take care of you" and proceeded to walk outside. After waiting another 20 minutes and watching the manager stand outside on a phone call the whole time, we finally left. Got home and the nachos were missing sour cream and a few other things. Dont fall for it! We looked up the menu online snd I saw sn old favorite on the menu. So we went in for dinner. When i tried to order it based on the website, I was told they no longer offer it, due to the items popularity?!? Half of thd menu's were updated to remove the item! Yet the web page still showed it. This wasn't a single short term shortage, but a full removal from their menu because they said they don't have cheese curds to make it?!? Its probably just more difficult to make. This was the entire reason we went in! Who stocks this restaurant and why cant you find cheese curds??! They are available in just about EVERY grocery store or corner gas station, but this restaurant can't find any for their most popular dish????? I dont believe that for a second! First and last time here. We went on a Saturday night. There was a 45 minute wait which I get...it's a new restaurant on Hall Rd. on a Saturday night. But when they brought us to our seat there were about 8 open tables. I suspect they don't have the staff? I ordered the pick 2 and had the pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was a $5 up charge. The pork was pretty good. The brisket was completely dried out and a tiny portion. Not worth the $5 up charge. For sides I got mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Potatoes didn't taste scratch made and they were covered in jar gravy. I got a garlic bread with my dinner which was the kind you get frozen at Kroger. My wife had a salad with shrimp which was warm (wilty greens) and had no flavor. My son had the rib feast which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also got a cheesecake for dessert since it was his birthday. It was frozen. Food took a while to get which made me wonder what they're doing in the kitchen. Most of the stuff is pre made they just have to assemble.
