I've been to four corners diner a few times and had no problems in the slightest. The food is good the service is okay and the atmosphere is homely, minus the occasional AI ads. However the last time that I went was during the vintage fest, it as a whole soured my overall experience. Myself and another had gone to get breakfast. The food was alright as mentioned before and the service was not the best at least for us. Our waitress was decently friendly but had been nicer and more accommodating to others when problems arose while taking shortcuts with our issues. I didn't think much of it but it had bothered the person that came with me so I talked to someone at the register about it in a polite, down to earth kind of way. Remember that. So you can only imagine my surprise that when leaving the aforementioned waitress follows us out to confront us about what we had said. She asked what was wrong and the other person with me told her. The waitress decided to go full passive aggressive on us both. Without listening she continued to tell us how we were wrong and insisted she was the nicest one there and specified that's why she took us over other waitresses. The implication she had in her voice had some mild racist undertones given my plus one was a person of color. I was rightfully getting angry and had made multiple comments of her being unprofessional I went back in. Unsurprisingly she follows us back in and continues huffing like an angsty teenager. I tell the same person what happened and she gives me a card to fill out with my number to be contacted later. All the while the same waitress continues to badger me with passive aggressive comments. Since that trip there I have received not a single call or voicemail apologizing for her actions. TL:DR Waitress followed us out after an incredibly mild criticism and harasses us. It is a corner family restaurant in a small town that is just off the corner. At 60 I felt as if I was one of the younger diner's but so what. I had a bowl of chicken dumpling soup (soup of the day) and Granny's Fried Bologna Sandwich. It came with homemade potato chips. The soup was a touch salty for me, but I do not put salt on or in anything so I am slightly sensitive to salt. The bologna sandwich was ok, I would have preferred a thicker slice but then I only ate half the sandwich as I was full. The place is clearly a solid member of the community, High School swag abounds and the table tops feature ads for other Romeo businesses, this is what made me go there, I was looking for a family diner with soup and sandwich and that's what they delivered. Had breakfast at this establishment today. Ordered a Country Omelette. Menus states it comes with potatoes and toast. Omelette ingredients included sausage, cheese, and potatoes. Was told my potatoes were in my Omelette. Never been to a place where potatoes aren't included with Omelettes because they are part of the Omelette. I paid $15 for a small ass Omelette. We stopped in here looking for a decent breakfast on the way home from Addison Oaks. We figured it would be packed. It was busy but we were still promptly greeted and seated. Everyone was very friendly. We were immediately served coffee with plenty of "warm ups". I ordered the apple cinnamon french toast. I was excited. I was breaking my diet because it sounded so delicious. Boy was I disappointed. I really hate when I ruin my diet for something that isn't worth it. It was basically french toast with a can of apple pie filling in top. I couldn't taste the cinnamon and in general, it wasn't very flavorful. I ordered bacon. It was thickly sliced but very fatty. I ate a few bites of the French toast and one piece of bacon. I brought the rest home for my son. He will eat anything. He didn't even want the French toast. What a waste of money. Any way, he got the corned beef and hash. It was homemade, which sounded delicious. But unfortunately, it was mostly onions and peppers with very little corn beef. Boo... The most frustrating part, however was that when we were done eating we sat there for 20 min waiting for the bill. It's not like we were at a pub having a beer. It was breakfast. You eat, you leave. Give me my bill. I had to stand up and put my coat on and stand there so that the waitress would come over with the bill. I will try this place again, because everyone was so friendly. Very disappointed with our visit this morning. Since the global pandemic began we have avoided dining indoors but today we thought we'd take a chance and eat indoors at Four Corners. Staff does not take wearing masks seriously. The entire staff wore their masks beneath their chins. The diner was full of senior citizens and they had no respect their health and safety. I think the waitress knew I was uncomfortable so a couple of times she pulled her mask up, but left her nose uncovered. Food was not very good. My sausage links were barely warm and they were tough and hard. I think they were old and reheated. I didn't complain because I didn't want their maskless faces near us. For diners restaurant is one of the most caring and kindest people you can find. Their food is phenomenal. During these Covid times it can be very difficult but I find that they're doing their best that they can in these difficult times. If you can't understand this then don't go there but for the rest of you give it a try. They are doing takeout and curbside pick up during this time. I went to this place for the first time 4 or 5 weeks ago and have been back I think 8 times since. They have a pretty extensive menu with scratch soups etc. I had the veggie omelette no cheese and whole wheat toast and coffee. $14 with tax and tip. The eggs were a little over cooked for my liking but the omelette was full of a variety of fresh crisp veggies, the home fries, which come with it, were pretty much crispy perfect for my tastes and the bread for the toast was very good. Staff is fast and friendly. Food is good and prices are reasonable. If you are unhappy with some part of your order, let the staff know and they fix it right away. As far as the 1 star COVID reviews...use your head. If you see that a restaurant or the staff is not doing something to your liking don't go in and support their business. I have had COVID positive tests 3 times and have had both shots and a booster. I still go out to eat at least twice a week. The Diner supports the local community and I support their employees. I prefer to pay the employee's vs pay more in taxes to support people that 'choose' to stay home. The deserts are great and reasonably priced. We gave four corners a shot as we heard people talking about it on the book of face. Ehh... OK Not bad food, just not good breakfast that you want to go out and get. Certainly wouldn't make me come here again, the price was just as much as our favorite place. Decor was very local, never seen a restaurant sell advertising on their booth covers. First off lets just say the service is horrible. Get ready to stand and wait at the counter with zero acknowledgement that you exist. Second, the food was over cooked and clearly off a filthy grill. Forth, when I called about the self tip increase the manager who I spoke with on the phone was off standing, accused me of lying, she refused to give me her name and than hung up the phone.
