We eat at Mavrix often so my review is to give constructive feedback so they remain a success. We visited this evening and I tried one of the specials -- chicken fajitas. The plate was sizzling and the portion was good. I really like the tortillas and the "fixings" were just right. The chicken though was a tad bit dry, and I did not like the beans and rice. They were not very authentic. I know it's hard to introduce new items, hence having specials to try them out. My husband ordered his favorite, their fish tacos. After reading quite a few recommendations in a Sterling Heights facebook group, my son and I decided to check this place out and order the wings. We started with the pretzel bites. I give it a 3 out of 5, they were fine, nothing special. We ordered 15 medium bone-in wings (because boneless wings are just chicken nuggets) with garlic parmesan sauce. The wings showed up it way too much sauce. They looked and tasted like 'buffalo' flavored wings. We asked the waitress and she let us know that when you order wings 'medium', they add buffalo sauce to give it the spicy zip. That buffalo flavoring totally over powered the garlic parmesan flavoring. We ate a few but called it a day and packed up. Very unhappy with this establishment. We were excited to try it out. Their website let you make reservations, so we did. We got there & they told us they couldn't honor our reservations. Then first she said it would be about a 30 minute wait. Then she came back & said it could be up to an hour wait. Huh? They said the online reservations isn't suppose to be running.
