Just a nice baked potato.
Dane S.

My family and I have been eating at this location since it opened. The staff (Paul and the guys) are all friendly and welcoming. Food is consistently good. The jalapeño sausage is the best in the area. BBQ sauce is really good. The will remain on 'My Keepers List'.

Updating my review. After going to two separate locations, I've come to the conclusion this place is back on my list of good BBQ and may even be better than I remember. It seems that mo's is under new management. The quality of meat is outstanding and the sides are better quality including the pickles! They are thick cut and appear to be homemade and taste like it. Glad to say I'll be back again after a 2yr break.

3 meat plate; brisket, sausage, ribs, salt water boiled potatoes, green bean.
Rene M.

So we tried the barbecue at a different place outside our regular rotation that my other half wanted to try. We were disappointed. The brisket was bland at best. For me, I have had better from a Costco refrigerator meal. Same for the sausage. The pork ribs lacked favor. The ribs honestly reminded be of tamale meat, but less flavor. I tried to improve on the flavor with the barbecue sauce, but unfortunately it provided no help. The green beans were no better. The best thing out of the bunch for me was the boiled red potatoes. You could tell the potatoes were boiled in salt water and tender. So... if most barbecue is too spicy for you, then this may be an option for you.

Diced up some pickles, onions, and jalapeños to make a relish to add to the chopped beef baked potato I'm having for dinner !!!
James W.

The last two visits here were to pick up 3/4 of a pound of chopped beef for making stuffed baked potatoes at home. The place has been clean, and the staff has been friendly. They're not busy at all, as both times no one was dining in. On my last visit I was able to get onions, pickles, and jalapeños from the self serve counter. The chopped beef was most excellent and delicious for the last two visits. The reason for minus one star is you don't see the weight so you're not sure if you're actually getting the amount you ordered. Rudy's BBQ has you verify the weight which is nice.

Nice folks, great country music. Homemade, non-greasy breakfast burrito, made your way, with fixins & huge serve-yourself beverage containers on the counter. Easy access & ample parking.

Yummy loved it all. Chicken was moist and falling off. Sides were A+ first timer cream corn and I was inhaling it.

I had the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of coleslaw. It was a tasty sandwich but a little fatty.

I highly recommend getting a full spread to try all their offerings but whatever you do, DON'T SKIP THE PEACH TEA GLAZED PORK BELLY! FAST FACTS: * Parking - located in a strip shopping center with a decent size lot in front * Online ordering - you can pre-order and schedule a pick up order (must be at least 3 days in advance) * Open Wednesday - Sunday from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm (or sold out) * Water available while waiting in line * Order meats first and then sides and desserts * Sauces are self-serve by the to-go containers to pack up leftovers We arrived at 8:15 am (almost 3 hours before opening) on a Sunday morning and were first in line (the next group arrived around 8:30 am). By the time they opened at 11:00 am, there were probably 50 people in line. SERVICE - Always impressed by Interstellar's hospitality! They make conversation with you while taking your order and preparing the food. There's also a worker floating around helping with clearing trays, getting leftover containers, etc. I spoke with Warren while waiting in line and told him about how much I love the pork belly... within minutes, he brought a piece for each of us to sample while waiting. Then, I mentioned that it was my dad's birthday when ordering my meats and the slicers threw in an extra pork rib which was above and beyond! PRICING - The total was $321.10 after tax ($24.48) but before tip for the following: * 2.01 lb brisket ($84.42) * 1.59 lb peach tea glazed pork belly ($57.24) * 0.92 lb pork ribs ($33.12) * 0.52 lb pulled lamb shoulder ($18.72) * 0.51 lb (1 link) beef Kielbasa sausage ($15.30) * 0.46 lb (1 link) Polish sausage ($13.80) * 0.54 lb (1 link) lamb merguez sausage ($20.52) * 1 qt of poblano creamed corn ($19) * 1 qt of four cheese mac ($19) * 1 pt of smoked scallop potatoes ($10) * 1 single of tomato zucchini salad ($5.50) House made pickles, pickled onions, sliced white bread, and sauce are complimentary. The pricing is slightly higher than other barbecue places in Texas but that's the "Michelin Star" tax at work! BRISKET (10/10) - This is some of my favorite brisket in Texas (along with Franklin's and Goldee's)... it's incredibly juicy, it's seasoned well with salt and pepper, the bark is flavorful without being overpowering, and the smoke ring is visible. You can request lean, fatty, and/or burnt ends. PEACH TEA GLAZED PORK BELLY (11/10) - I think this is the only food item I've ever given a 11/10 to but it's THAT GOOD! There is just nothing like this anywhere else... it's a unique offering and really sets Interstellar apart. You get cubes of super tender pork belly coated in a sweet peach tea glaze... it literally melts in your mouth and is like candy. PORK RIBS (8/10) - They're tender but don't completely fall off the bone which is exactly what I like. They're seasoned well but don't stand out as much as some of the other proteins. PULLED LAMB SHOULDER (8/10) - Very tender and juicy but it just isn't as flavorful as some other pulled lamb that I've had at other barbecue places (KG BBQ has my favorite). SAUSAGES (9/10) - All 3 were phenomenal! The casings have a nice snap to them, the texture of the meat inside is ideal, and they are packed with flavor. It's all about personal preference in terms of which is best but I think the beef Kielbasa is a good one to try! POBLANO CREAMED CORN (9/10) - This was a newer side that I was excited to try and it's fantastic! I love the poblano flavor and the texture of the creamed corn was fantastic. It's garnished with green onions. FOUR CHEESE MAC (10/10) - I was sad when they got rid of the gouda mac because I LOVED it but I have to say... this new mac is somehow even better! The creaminess is next level! It's garnished with crispy brown butter cracker crumble (with extra on the side to add later) and green onions. SMOKED SCALLOP POTATOES (9/10) - I've always loved this side but they have somehow improved it recently... the potatoes seem slightly thinner which helps them hold on to even more flavor. TOMATO ZUCCHINI SALAD (9/10) - Refreshing side to add some veggies... simple but delicious! PICKLES, PICKLED ONIONS, BREAD & SAUCE (8/10) - The pickles & pickled onions are some of my favorite around. The bread is just a basic sliced white bread (skip it). There is a Texas red sauce and a mustard sauce... try them both! I'm just now writing a review after visiting close to 10 times but I'm happy to report that Interstellar is still worth the hype, even after gaining popularity from earning a Michelin Star. They have unique menu offerings (like the peach tea glazed pork belly), top-notch service, and keep innovating their menu by improving their classics and offering specials. I will recommend Interstellar to EVERYONE and can confirm it is worth any travel and wait!

Love the tender juice beef rib. The flavor profile is great and not too mushy. The beef brisket has a great blend of firmness and juiciness.

Lazy G BBQ Company in Cedar Park is exactly what it sounds like: lazy. For a BBQ joint in Texas,…read morewhere the standard is high, this place is embarrassingly bad. Rudy's BBQ should be the baseline, yet Lazy G doesn't even reach that. I ordered the ribs and brisket, hoping for something decent, but both were far below average. The brisket was especially disappointing--you could see the congealed fat right in the slices (see pictures). Serving meat at the right temperature is BBQ 101, and their failure here made the texture and flavor a cold, greasy mess. The sides weren't any better. The cucumber salad was bland, with just a dusting of dill and no seasoning whatsoever. Adding salt and vinegar should be a no-brainer, but apparently, even the basics were too much effort here. I was excited to try the smoked mushroom side (as a mushroom lover), but it was downright unpleasant. There was zero smokiness, and the sauce tasted like a watered-down BBQ sauce, giving the button mushrooms a soggy, unappetizing texture. The BBQ sauce was another letdown--it tasted like bottled Sweet Baby Ray's. For a BBQ place, using (or at least mimicking) store-bought sauce is the ultimate red flag that they just don't care. Even at $22 for a two-meat plate, the quality doesn't justify the price. In short, Lazy G BBQ Company doesn't just fall short--it doesn't even try. If their goal was to live up to their name, they succeeded; this food is lazy, uninspired, and, frankly, not worth your time or money.

I would go back just for that pork belly with the black pepper bark! OMG…read more....... My husband never eats mac and cheese and I'll be darned if he didn't finish my Trashy Mac and Cheese for me that evening! Finally! Some mac and cheese that is actually delicious and creamy. The toppings of brisket, bbq sauce, french onions and jalapenos all stirred together makes each bite a little slice of heaven. WOW! The next morning he said, "I kept telling myself I need to leave a little bit more for Lee Lee but I kept opening it back up and eating more until it was all gone!" Good thing I had my bites right when we arrived at our hotel because I was so hungry. My husband ordered sliced brisket and we lucked out and got a few of the brisket burnt ends. They weren't all "candified" like a lot of the other bbq places serve; but they were smoky and delicious. I also enjoyed the potato salad. We were excited to order the smoked mushrooms but honestly, they could have used a bit more flavor for me. You could just tap the salt shaker and it would have been fine. I appreciated the creative side dish and love how the bbq scene has doubled down on the side hustle! It was cold out so we sat on the enclosed patio that had heaters and were very comfortable. We order a couple of beers and waited for our food. The service was friendly. This was a nice dining experience.

Today, I finally got an opportunity to taste this highly rated BBQ. People...the hype is real!!! We purchased a turkey leg, sausage, brisket (what they're known for) and chicken. We also got two sides of potato salad and dirty rice. I am not a big fan of brisket. However, the owner allowed me to have a sample of the brisket. I fell quickly, madly in love with the brisket. The brisket is so flavorful, tender and moist. So, so good!!! Next, I tried the turkey leg. The meat literally fell off the bone. Yummy to the Nth degree!!! Now, let me talk about this sausage...I have never eaten sausage this good. The sausage was (yes was...we ate it all!) dense, yet moist and super tasty. This sausage did not have a spec of grease. I think I ate most of the sausage. The chicken was also super moist and tender...made you want to slap yourself. The sides were good, however, the standouts without a doubt were the meats. The owner/chef was very personable, and highlighted the preparations associated with his menu items. He created a welcoming and chill environment... I highly recommend trying Bigg Belly BBQ...you will certainly enjoy your dining experience. Pro tip: Sunday and Monday Bigg Belly BBQ is closed.
