Wow! Between the food, drinks and service, we can't find a thing we didn't like. First the food. The brisket was moist and flavorful. We don't normally get chicken at a BBQ place but we did this time because we weren't sure what the people we were meeting wanted. We are so glad we did!! The chicken might have been better than the brisket. Sides were really, really good. We had corn, beans (red kidney; so, so good) and the greens which were the perfect blend of vinegar and heat. We left with a Rich-a-rita for each adult and oh my gosh. I am so glad we did!! After a long drive, those ritas hit the spot. I personally liked the spice in the drink. Finally the service. From recommending the greens and margaritas to hooking us up with some extra plates and plastic ware, the owners at Smokin' A's were the best!! Thank you! We waited an hour and ten minutes for our food. All three of us had brisket and ribs. I can't think of a reason why a BBQ place can't easily serve up brisket and ribs in a more reasonable time period. BBQ was adequate but pricy for a food truck. We were there for lunch, and because of the long wait time, one in our party had to take the food with him. I don't recommend and will never return. So many better places to go for good BBQ. Terrible customer service. They use a speaker to take your order and keep the window where you place your order heavily tinted and partially closed. Just a bad overall experience. read more

l never went to a BBQ restaurant and had to wait for my plate to be ready. A long wait to be disappointed. The so call BBQ was horrible, the sliced brisket look and taste like them precut brisket you buy at any store. Didn't taste no kind of smoke on the meat and the dry cabbage says it all. How this place got 4.5 stars is unbelievable. I guess I was waiting for the meat to get some kind of smoke taste, it didn't work. It's really overpriced and not worth it! The third January 31, 2024 it was a beautiful sunny 68°. I ordered the double stack burger, fries, and a drink. They had a few people in front of me so I enjoy the leisure time at the sun on my face at a picnic table. When I got the food, my first bite took me back decades when I was younger to the memories of my family cookouts. The burger was outstanding, and the flood of memories made it even better. my son was with me and we talked about those memories and made plans to do something similar in the future with family and friends. The first time I'm trying , the owners were awesome, but after experiencing AUSTIN BBQ food trucks , it's a BIG STEP DOWN ! A 3 meat combo with 2 sides for $29, and it wasn't close to being worth the price ! I had 3 ribs , 1 link cut in 8/10 cubes, 3 thin slices of brisket , very dry cabbage and red beans and rice ! Checked out this dude's food truck at work event. Was a limited menu because of event. Brisket was a 10/10. Sides were great (beans, potato salad, green beans) but seriously the brisket was as good or better than Pecan Lodge or other great BBQ spots. Tender with a smoke ring, and great BBQ sauce. When we go to the Desoto food trucks we looked over this place because we never smelled smoke. We tried it and thank God! He guy does most of bbq in the morning. It is not like regular boiled bbq Texas has. It is smoked from start to finish. The bone is even smoked. We had the turkey leg and it was amazing! Hands down better turkey legs than the place downtown. I took a star away because the peach cobbler was not on point. But I'm not mad about that. This did is good! Delivery time was on point, we ordered through DoorDash. The food was pretty tasty and they give you good size portions. A little pricey in my opinion but overall it was pretty good.
