I love a good bbq and here I order large rib tips and pork link. It came with a side and bead and this is where I felt kinda ripped... The side wasn't a side, and the bread was just lazy. The side was in a sauce container, and the sauce was in a side container. The bread was cheap white bread from the supermarket. (At least make it Texas toast.) See pictures. Great food and service. We were in the area and decided to stop in again for some ggreat BBQ. I ordered the turkey leg with green beans. The green beans were seasoned perfectly and we're the perfect temperature too! The turkey leg was huge and delicious! The meat fell off the bone and was moist and delicious. I have never had a better turkey leg! I cannot eat BB sauce because it flares up my arthritis pain... this turkey leg did not even need sauce it was that good. A lot of the BBQ places we go to don't even have turkey legs and when they do, the meat tastes like ham... not here, yummy turkey flavor with a crispy skin. It is definitely worth the ride to come out here and get it again. My husband loves their pulled pork nachos! The perfect size for a meal and made with fresh ingredients. If your in the area stop by and give this place a try! Everyone working here is very kind and patient. Will be back again! I've tried this place several times and wanted it to work but no more. Im done the BBQ and sides are average at best ... don't expect your portion size to be even average cause they are very small ... the service is just OK and I've experienced dine-in as well as take out ... this is definitely one of those places where there isn't enough competition in the area so they can be average and survive without having to do better read more

Great local joint. Flavor of ribs was great. I got a nice portion in the 1/2 slab which was a surprise in a good way. The slaw was tasty and nicely portioned. The warm bbq sauce was special and home made. Corn muffin was good and had a nice melted butter on top. I'll be back. read more

Came to smoke barbecue today after going to Wisconsin for the day to check out the cheese castle. I ordered to go a bunch of food. I'm from California so I went to taste the barbecue in Chicago or Illinois we ordered our own platter or made a platter I should say we got brisket pulled pork, some ribs. Some beans, some collards some mac & cheese. We got the jerk chicken with the dirty rice. We got a link you got some peach cobbler so now let me tell you how would all taste it the peach cobbler is some of the best peach cobbler I ever tasted that wasn't mine. The beans on the other hand tasted just like they were from the can if they were smoked, I'd be surprised. The collard greens were good. They needed salt, but I would order that again. The yams were good. they could've done a little bit more salt but other than that, I would eat those right out of the container. The coleslaw was kind of funny tasting kind of like KFC the mac & cheese just tasted like macaroni and cheddar cheese together. I would not get that again it was nothing special. The ribs were good. The pulled pork was OK. The brisket looked nice, but it was really dry. I did not taste the chicken, but my wife said it was good and the rice they like the rice. all in all, I'm glad that I tasted smoking barbecue. I'm gonna have to try another barbecue joint in the area to compare to this one and of course to mine and I feel like I make better barbecue than this place but that's my opinion if I had to recommend anything from here, it will be the peach cobbler and the chicken and rice dish. Their sausage was really hard to cut also and it was a little dry also, but the restaurant is really nice and the people they were really nice also. their barbecue sauce is pretty good also I only put it on the ribs read more

Food was amazing! We ordered the burnt ends, pulled pork and ribs. Perfect amount of smokiness and very tender. Hardest part will be deciding what to order next time we visit! Would have liked to have rated the food but out of burnt ends at 2 pm on Friday. I could accept if I showed up at 6 pm but you open at 11 am and out at 2 pm??. service not great. Woman working kitchen and counter seemed very unconcerned that I wasn't getting food. Fantastic smoky brisket! Sandwich has a nice mix of lean and fatty pieces too. The fries were WAY better than I expected - McD level! The rib tips were super tender and yummy too. This appears to be a family-run business. Mom took the order, dad cooked it, son served it. Dined here on a Friday night. Service was very pleasant. Owners thought of every convenience for this fast food restaurant, condiments, takeout containers. I had the smoked turkey leg, which was awesome might I add. Hubby had smoked wings and he was in heaven. Very flavorful. The meats are the highlights. The sides appeared to be out of a can, green beans, baked beans etc. decides to try the cobbler. I really tried to like This homemade dessert but it was floating in butter or oil. I had to pour off a the layer of butter grease before i could eat it, and it was very chewy. Well at least the meats were delicious. Very sad that this place was incredibly disappointing We ordered a few things to try and ended up with hot links, brisket, pork tips and ribs; all things we've had before and like. I ate a little of the brisket (not much, perhaps not even a slice) but tasted a bite of the hot link and ended up throwing the rest of it away. In fact, I didn't eat much of anything; we had a side of collard greens and I threw them away too. COLLARD GREENS. Yes, I added hot sauce; they were not worth eating. How is that possible? The cornbread that came with the meal was terrible. It was so dry you could choke on it. One of the corn muffins seemed a little burned, so I suppose perhaps that's why it was so dry. French fries should never be the best part of your meal at a barbecue joint. The prices are really high. It seems most prepared to be a takeout place, since they don't have fountain drinks or anything; they have some beverages including water you can buy from their cooler. They have a single barbecue sauce, which was ok but couldn't make up for the rest of the meal of course. At least now I know not to return, but still bummed at how much it cost and throwing most of it away. Also worth noting that there's a 3% charge applied to credit card purchases. read more

Last night was our first time eating here. OUTSTANDING!!! We tried the Lg. Platter to try the pulled pork,brisket,ribs,hot links,and chicken. ALL were cooked perfect. We also had the mild and hot BBQ sauces. Both were tasty although all the meats were smoked and seasoned so good you dont even need sauce. Sides we had beans,mac and cheese, and fries. They were all good 8 out of 10. The meats 10 out of 10. Customer service 10 out of 10. Wait time was an understandable 8-10 min, being mindful that the was a Thursday night. I saw good reviews on this barbecue place so I decided to try it. This restaurant is in a small strip mall with ample parking. We tried the 2 meat plate with beef brisket (that was a tad salty) but the pulled pork was very good and the portions were ample. The green beans, corn on the cob and the corn bread were also good. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was quaint and the food came out fairly quickly. They do not serve alcohol and they close at 8pm. I give this place 3.5 stars. read more

We love bbq and we were excited to find this place. What a disappointment! We got the brisket sliders and jerk chicken. The sliders barely had any brisket on them and it was dry and tasted old. The chicken was so small and dried out like it was sitting in a hot warmer for 2 days. We also ordered Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and candied yams. The Mac and cheese was dry, the coleslaw tasteless, and the candied yams had way too much spice that it's all you tasted. The cornbread was extremely dry that it made me choke and I had to spit it out. I can't believe they are okay with taking people's money and giving them food like that. I got all that with the sauce on the side because I hadn't tried it but now that I have (it's excellent) I will have all my items with sauce except the Jerk Chicken. No need to sauce that, it was spicy greatness but for a small leg and thigh way overpriced at $13. The large order of Tips came with fries smothered in the tips and coleslaw. The $10 turkey leg was great and the Ribs were perfectly cooked with just a little tear off the bone. Looking forward to more visits. Take out only. Been here twice - both times on my way to a concert. Last time was on a Sunday and I didn't check the hours. We got there just at closing time, but they took our order anyway and we ate on the tables outside. Even though they were technically closed, they still checked on us frequently.
