Thank you to the referral to try LRSC! Staff are friendly and helpful. Homemade sauces and balsamic peppers are a must try. Country general store and restaurant decor is welcoming for a gathering. It did not disappoint! Thank you!

I've been wanting to try this quaint little spot for a while now and finally found an excuse to venture away from my usual go-to BBQ spot. The interior feels old, but in a nostalgic and homey kind of way. They have some nice little knickknacks for sale in their store that would make unique gifts as well. The workers were all extremely kind, grateful for our business, and helpful as well. They started us off with some complimentary chips and salsa, a nice touch. The salsa has some real spice so be warned, but I loved it! We ordered a variety of things. Firstly I want to say that the price points and size options are great, you don't have to break the bank to eat here. That said the food WAS hit and miss for me. The sausages are made in house, which is cool, but I didn't love the hot link. It had an odd flavor I just can't quite describe. The brats on the other hand are phenomenal! A strong beer flavor makes this a great sausage, pair it with their mustard sauce for the perfect bite. I will definitely be back just for these brats. The pulled pork was just ok, I could taste the smoke and the texture was spot on, but I would have liked more flavor in the pork itself. If you like your BBQ saucey then this won't be an issue, just grab one of their house made sauces and pour it on. The cornbread was decent, nothing mind blowing but the potato salad was another hit for me! Nice and creamy with plenty of dill flavor, it's a good balance for anything spicy. So yea, a mixed experience for sure, but I see some real potential in the food here. I'll be back for the things I enjoyed, and I'll try some different stuff as well.

Living in the Midwest while being from Alabama can be frustrating when it comes to finding sweet tea done the correct way. I look at the menu of perspective places and will even call or email them if they have supposedly sweet tea. I emailed Little Rock Stock Cafe and they replied almost immediately. Little Rock Stock Cafe fresh brews their sweet tea. They do use Black Currant which gives it a Berry taste but it definitely gets this Bama Boy's approval for sweet tea as it is fresh brewed in house and no holding back on the sugar here! Besides amazing sweet tea, the BBQ and service was outstanding! Since it was my first time, they gave me complimentary housemade salsa and chips. The salsa was on the spicy side but it sure went well with my sweet tea! I went with the 3 meat and chose pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. The brisket was Sliced thin which is something I don't usually like. But this brisket was really good and mixed well with several sauces. They gave a side of what they called Texas gravy on the side. It was just Au Jus. Pulled pork was all tender and full of flavor. I loved it with the North Carolina Vinegar and South Carolina Mustard. When I ordered sausage, I was given the choice of Polish, Italian, Hot, or Brat. All sausages are made in house. I went with the polish figuring it would go well with most sauces. The South Carolina Mustard was the perfect sauce for it. There are 7 sauces! There is the house which I asked what it was. The lady told me it was a mix of a lot of things. It was unique. They have fruity BBQ sauces like Plum Whiskey and Blueberry Chipotle. There is a sriracha mayo. But the three that stood above the rest were the Kansas City- very sweet, North Carolina Vinegar, and South Carolina Mustard. These three by themselves would have bested a lot of the 1000 and something BBQ joints I've been to. I bought a bottle of the Kansas City and they had to make it and put it in a jar for me! My sides were jalepeno cornbread, potato salad, slaw, and I ordered Peach beans. The Peach baked beans was the best side with baked beans made in house with peaches mixed in. Cornbread just fell to pieces but was so good with the hint of jalepeno. The potato salad was a chopped Mustard base and I would have enjoyed it more if it didn't have diced celery in it. The slaw was shredded and a little dry for me. And finally to make sure I was definitely welcomed and had a taste for it all, I was offered Cherry cobbler. I had to take it home because I was so full! Little Rock Stock Cafe us a must stop me from now on if I'm ever northwest of Chicago.

So my parents and I, after a hard day of working in the yard, decided to finally try out a restaurant where one of my mom's coworkers run. It was a BBQ joint called Little Rock Stock Cafe. So we arrived at the restaurant and the outside was not what I expected, the same for the inside. But don't let that fool you. So we were happily greeted when we entered and shown where the menus were. After a couple of minutes of deciding, we approached and placed our orders. My mother ordered a regular pulled pork sandwich, with coleslaw and their peach baked beans, with a Coke Zero. My father ordered their smoked mac and cheese topped with pulled pork, coleslaw, and a piece of jalapeno cornbread. I ordered the three meat platters. Which was 1/4 bbq white chicken, a house made hot link, and my favorite burnt ends. But the burnt ends can't be part of the 3 meat combo plater. So I did a separate order of burnt ends. With the combo, I got their mashed potatoes and corn, also with a piece of jalapeno corn bread. So we placed our order and waited, and waited, and waited for 35 minutes. We almost canceled our order and requested our money back. So finally, our food arrived. As we got ready to start eating, the cashier/waitress let us know about their carousel of bbq sauces. They had a whiskey plum BBQ sauce, a Blueberry Chipotle BBQ sauce, a Kansas City BBQ sauce, a House BBQ sauce a Carolina Vinegar BBQ sauce and a Mustard BBQ sauce. All were great, but my favorites were the Whiskey Plum and the Carolina, with the Mustarf BBQ sauce coming a close 3rd. Now for the food. My mom liked the pulled pork sandwich but wanted more smoke and bbq flavor. My father loved his mac and pork. The jakapeno cornbread, eh, not as good as he has had elsewhere. Mine was great, but the burnt ends were a little too soft for me. I've had burnt ends from better places, and they still had some resistance and springiness to them. These had great flavor, but I was missing that bark and texture. The chicken was great and juicy. The hot link was snappy and spicy. The potatoes and corn were great. So, the review I want to give is a 3.5, but I don't know how to give a half. The wait was excessive. The price could have been a little cheaper for my combo. And the pulled pork not having enough flavor and the texture of the burnt ends are the reasons I can give above the 4 stars. Also, the menu has more than bbq. So calling a cafe makes sense. So, was the wait worth it? Yes and no. But I will definitely be back.

Our GPS gave us great directions, however the sign is hard to read so we actually passed by it two times. (So pay close attention to the directions it was our fault cause we were talking) The entrance is in the middle of the building on the side. When we walked in There are four tables nicely spaced out. The room is decorated in yellow and is very cheerful. There is a little store are where you can buy cute one of a kind gifts. The room smelled like coleslaw and brisket... yummy There is a silver bin on the wall by the ordering counter that you pickup your menus from. My husband ordered the Large Brisket Sandwich Combo (came with a bag of chips, pickle, coleslaw, and a drink. I ordered the Large pulled pork sandwich. It came with a pickle. Our waitress brought out a bin with 7 different homemade sauces (see pictures) and explained them all to us. What a great way to change up /enhance the flavors of the BBQ meats! We ordered a side of cornbread and she brought it to the table first. It was warm and had butter served on the side. It was very delicious As a matter of fact everything we tried was so delicious, you cannot go wrong dining here! The only issue we had was a really hard piece of bone (about the size of a quarter) in the pulled pork sandwich meat... (which is something that happens, so we were not alarmed) so be sure to chew your food well and don't bite down too hard. We will be back again for sure!

A very simple outside hides a small restaurant and gift shop with homemade items.

Fabulous friendly service and delicious gourmet/ home cooked food. They smoke their meats! I loved my red beans and rice topped with smoked pulled pork, sausage and bacon. My sister ordered a bratwurst basket that came with cornbread, coleslaw, and fresh corn. My mom loved the 3 meat chili- just a bit spicy for her. They let us have a sample of the homemade salsa, which was amazing but def has some heat. We ended our meal with homemade chocolate covered toffee. All in the beautiful village of Wauconda!! Highly recommend!

Handmade sausages, tender brisket and juicy pulled pork... you want to try this BBQ place! The tea is fresh brewed. The coleslaw was still crisp, not mushy. Everything was so delicious!! I'll definitely come back! My friends had the peach cobbler, which was baked to order and they said it was delicious!
