Dont get me wrong- it has GREAT meat/bun flavor to it- just too many little things that went wrong during my visit (not staff fault! They were great and friendly and I did not mention or complain about the lack of customizations to them nor did I complain about the onions- i did not say a word when trying to figure out kikosk (or tablet whatever you call it) Kikosk ordering at the counter- It would not allow me to add sauce on side. There was no description of what it was so was confusing when ordered at first. The menu/kikosk doesnt say what kind of sauce- drives me crazy when there is no clear definition for people who are picky or cant have certain items in their food. My shake did not come with whipped cream unlike pictures or social media feeds. Fountain drink was flat to my disappointment so got refunded for that only and went with water. Clean taste. Burger has great potential but if they are not allowing us to customize it to our own preference it will fail in this location. Lack of toppings to my dismay- When I got my burger with the sauce cheese and grilled onions, it looked good at first glance. When I bit into the grilled onions it was not tender/soft it was like eating stringy rope with the burger yanking it out with my teeth . Sauce wasnt memoriable for me. Still have no idea what it consisted of even few days later. Again Bun/meat was delish driving me on eating the burger. Fries were ok- nothing to write home about. Not coming back though until they improve on some areas. This is too expensive for the mistakes/lack of customization/options for a picky person like me. If it was signifcantly less in cost I would have let it slide and bring home plain burgers and customize it at home. The quest for a great burger is never-ending. There's a place for all kinds in burger world, and the iconic smash burger is a classic. If your doing it, do it right! Meat N Melt is doing it right. We had the smash burger combo with a shake and fries. The burger was good! Well seasoned and well cooked. I don't love shredded lettuce, makes things messier than they need to be, next time I'd remove that. Also, I'd like some tomato but it's not an option here. The fries are very crispy and stayed that way, but they got cold fast. Somehow they didn't hold their initial temperature well but they were great while still hot. I had the biscoff shake, love that option. Good flavor, and the combo is a nice value at just a 5 dollar up-charge. Really this place reminds me of Steak N Shake before the whole franchise went down hill, and looking at the name maybe that's what they're going for. There are some cons here. The place doesn't have any character, despite plenty of seating, so no real reason to do anything but take out. Also, it was freezing in there on this visit. Too cold to eat inside at all, and if your getting a shake you don't want to be that cold already. Self order pad... I wish they wouldn't do this. It's self pickup at the counter so there's no service. The menu is bare bones, which is fine, but it's odd that you can't get toppings they offer on loaded fries on your burger as well. Cross utilize those products guys! A few more topping options would make a big difference honestly. And just from a business perspective, you could use a kids meal. I noticed this new business in a shopping center i frequented earlier in the week... Sunday evening i really wanted a smashburger. I ordered The Melty Smash as listed on the board with the "Combo with Shake" (fries & shake, chocolate of course). The fries are a think cut and the crispiest fries I've ever been served . My burger was perfection! Lots of crispy bits and that sauce was super tasty too! Finally, my chocolate shake kept hitting with waves of chocolate as i twirled the straw against the sauce on sides of the glass! Very reasonably priced for the quality! The toppings are terrible. The cheese turns to liquid and runs off the burger. Must be fake cheese. The burgers are so sloppy but they don't wrap them so it's just a mess. Unlike 9 Guys minus 4 guys where the juices and messiness are contained in the wrapper. Not enough variety to want to go back. The shoestring fries are ,"meh." And the shakes... they remind me of a Simpson's episode when they went to Shelbyville. The choco is decent but the mango has no flavor of mango... unless you get some of the syrup. I visited this place after work. Very friendly and welcoming. They do have plenty of seating, for families, but I was getting my order to go. I've never had a smash burger it is a different style and taste. It was good, but it is not my favorite burger style for me. My wife and son loved the loaded fries and mango shake. For the price and amount and quality of food it's worth it. The owner or manager again was very nice and assisted with me ordering off of a tablet. Located in the former Viccinos location in the Sunset Foods shopping center - delicious food and great service. We tried the smashburgers, fries and strawberry shake. Burgers were made exactly with just the toppings we chose. Their French fries may be the best in the area. Great texture and good ratio of crunchy outside to tender center. Strawberry shake was just right - not too thick for the straw. Staff brought our food out to our table outside and even checked back in with us later to make sure it was to our liking. Came based on reviews and was sadly disappointed. The chocolate shake was on point but the burger was way over seasoned, too much pepper. However, they had no French fries, only three items on the menu and fries being one of them. I give them passes on the eats however everything was dirty, tables floor and the bathroom, felt dirtier and smellier than before I went in. We try to search out non-chain restaurants and are usually impressed. This smash burger was a messy, tasteless handful of grease. $9 for one paper thin patty. Comes with two pickle slices, chopped lettuce that looked like it had been sitting around for a while, and a yellow sauce that I guess was the cheese. It was so salty I couldn't eat it. Fries were cooked in a way to make them extra crispy but our serving seemed to be all the broken bits from the bottom of the bag. If you wanted ketchup there was a plastic basket on the counter with three packs that looked like they had been fetched off the floor. Ambiance was non-existent. Just a small, sad place with a few laminate tables. They didn't even have music playing. There is a McDonalds across the parking lot. Go there instead. read more

Something about the meat they and use and how they season/prepare it hits different. Tastes more fresher and flavorful, not like the standard Sysco beef patties most fast food joints use. Burger toppings are good and they are generous with the portions. Menu is sparse but I get it, they specialize in smash burgers, better to do that than offer a large variety of mediocre menu items.
